My HTML with Javascript I had a problem with the form submittion.. where the javascript working fine for validation after completing validation my form submit is not processing to action specified in the form tag.
I have a file system where users upload files. Using PHP the file is time stamped and that time stamp is saved in a database. This has been going on for months so I have a lot of files with server times saved in the database. Recently the client asked if the date/time could be displayed according to the client's timezone instead of the server's. So, I need a javascript function that will take a PHP formated date string and convert it to the clients time-zone.
So let's say there is a file with a date/time of 07/15/2004 1:15 PM in central time zone and the client is viewing the file today in pacific time zone (2 hrs diff.). I need to show that date/time as 07/15/2004 11:15 AM. I need JS to take གྷ/15/2004 1:15 PM' and somehow convert it to གྷ/15/2004 11:15 AM'. Code:
Im trying to put a date/time picker on a form Im making in DreamWeaver. I cant get it to work though. What am I doing wrong?
I put this after <head>
<script LANGUAGE="Javascript" SRC="C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/vacf/javascript/calendarpopup/combined-compact/CalendarPopup.js"></SCRIPT> <script LANGUAGE="Javascript"> var cal = new CalendarPopup(); </SCRIPT>
and "Select" is what launches it. This is at the text box:
I have scoured the net and found nearly what I'm looking for, but not exactly, and I don't really know javascript, so trying to piece together bits of code hasn't worked. What I need is the script for a live clock with date and time format exactly as follows: Sunday, 07 June 2009, 24:00:00 (GMT+1).I have two separate files with the following code, which gets me close to what I need: Sun Jun 07 19:05:48 2009 Obviously the time is in the wrong place and it doesn't show GMT+1. These are the scripts:
Code: function update() { time = Date();[code]....
Say I put a date and time for like this: Jun-15-04 21:52:06. Here is the form I am using:
<form> <p><input type="text" name="T1" size="20"><br> date</p> <p><input type="text" name="T2" size="20"><br> 90 days from date</p> <p><input type="submit" value="Submit" name="B1"></p> </form>
How could I get to show the date 90 days later to the exact date and time. I would enter the data in the first box and hit submit to show in the second box.
If i change away from a tab containing a partially completed form, then come back to it, all the changes are gone. I have set cache to TRUE so it's not re-loading the blank form from the remote, but it must still be reloading the tab content (ie. the blank form) from the cached copy in any case, so i still lose my changes. How can I keep my partly completed form when I switch to a different tab and then come back to it ?
I have a textbox on one of my forms that is used to accept a time from the user. I need to write this value to a database to trigger an event later on.
What I'd like to know is...
Are there any functions in javascript that can convert different time formats to a known format (24 hour clock)... 5pm -> 17:00 or 5:00 to 05:00, etc. ???
Assuming that I get the input into a 24 hour format, how can I create a full time/date variable with todays date and the users entered time?
Finally, if the entered time is earlier than the current time, how can I create the above date/time combination using tomorrows date?
how to get the time and date difference? given two time and date with the following format like in textbox A: 2011-05-03 17:35:47.0 and textbox B: 2011-05-03 16:35:47.0 then the output would be: 0 days, 1 hour, 0 minutes, 0 seconds
I have two servers with two websites. I want to use javascript to open up an url on another server with two paramaters.one will always be the same: allow=yes the other will change, it will take the current time and put it in the url paramater: hour=5minutes=30 I then want to encrypt this url paramater so that the user cannot intuitively edit it. I then want to on my other site decrypt the url paramater and if
allow=yes hour=(the same value as current time) minute= (within 15 minutes of current time)
then do one thing... if any of those values is false do another.
User gets for every minute staying on the site 1 credit. Credit is updated each minute, even if the page is not reloaded. But also if the page is reloaded or user continue browsing to other pages inside our site, counter should continue where it stayed in the previous page. If the user leaves the site it doesn't need to continue.
How would you do this? Is it possible to send in javascript value to the next page? Otherwise I have some other ideas, but I am not sure which is the most common: 1. On page leave (if this exists in javascript?) call with ajax timer.php where you assign time to the session. 2. On each 5 seconds call with ajax timer.php where you assign time to the session. 3. Do sql call for each 5 seconds. I guess this is not ok because it is too wasting.
I have this snippet of code which sends alright the ID to a page called SendIdToDatabase.php . I need to send that also, and simultaenously to another page called SubmitForm.php but I am not sure where to insert it in this code
<script type = "text/javascript"
[Code].....
and then underneath the other one something like
function YetAnotherFunction(str) { $("submitForm.php").html(str); }
I have a form with two submit buttons. One will save progress (which I do with a .post and no page reload) and the other finalizes the form (which I want to do a page refresh). I have a jquery dialog pop up for the finalize asking if the user is sure, and when they click "yes" I want to do a form.submit(), but I need to pass a value of "submit=Finalize" so my PHP script reads it properly. I can't use a hidden field, as both buttons are named Submit, but send different values, which the PHP then uses to figure out what to do with the data. So is there a way, like in the .post() function to send just one extra value for "Submit" in the submit() function, but still allow for the page to reload?
The following form validation script works, currently if one of the five fields are completed, a message appears the remaining field(s) must be completed etc. Although the information the user has inputted in the first field is cleared. How can this information be available, if there is one problem in the form it doesn't make sense that the user must re-input all the information again. I look forward to hearing your response,
I have added a booking form to a website with belongs to fastbooking.You can see a temporary website here. http:[url]....It works perfectly fine in Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari but it does not load on Internet Explorer.On the other browsers the form loads todays date and the year is generated but on IE the date stays on 01-01 and no year is generated.I'm using wordpress as a cms.I think the code that is not loading is <body onLoad='start();'>But I'm not sure. The code of the year is
<select name='fromyear' class="input" onChange='update_departure();'> <option value="0"></option> </select> But since it's no just the year I assume its the onload code.
I tried to add the onload to the header function like this
When calling the function toLocaleString(), javascritp date object returns yyyy/mm/dd HH:MM:SS depending on the locale settings. Is it possible to just display date as yyyy/mm/dd without the time?
