I am looking for the script to resize my website pages according to user's screen size. The size of the table in the template is 1008 * 576 pixels and users with small screen are not able to see the whole page, they have to scroll horizontally. Is there anything possible without modifying my current template?
View 2 RepliesI am new to Javascripting but am teaching myself and have written this script from my portfolio site in an effort to detect the users screen resolution so that my art is viewed properly. I have ran the code through a debugger and it has comback as "free of errors" but when I run the webpage on my local machine it does nothing, the page displays as if I had written nothing and due to my limited knowledge of Javascript I am at a loss and hoping for someone to say, "look you screwed this part up fix this and it's good to go". So my task was to build basically photo-based department org-charts for a SharePoint 2007 environment. Not sure why I was asked to do this as the last time I web designed was when Netscape 4.0 and IE4 were still duking it out, but whatever.I inserted my images (125x125) into tables and everything looks great. on my screen.Boss's screen, a slightly smaller monitor with a lower resolution, not so much.I'd like to be able to dynamically resize the image display sizes based on detected screen resolutions, or failing that, have at least 2 image libraries using 75x75 and 125x125 and then load one image size or the other based again on detected screen resolutions.

When I try to get the screen size (window.screen.height + window.screen.width) only IE gives me always the screen size of the main monitor where my taskbar (windows7) is located, instead of the screen size of the secondary screen where the webbrowser is located.

A dynamically created html page contains a body tag with a single (filled)
table in it. Sie size of the table changes in a wide scale (from 5% to 150%
of the screen size independent in height and width.
The page is displayed in a popup window opened either via an onclick-event
or a href anchor (depends on the navigation). Now the obvious problem is

When choosing a fixed window size things look silly most of the time. Either
you have a nearly empty window or you have to scroll all the time...
So I want to resize the window. Resize it to what size? The size that is
required by the pages content when redered in the browser. That's all :-)

im building a web application in asp.net. i was wondering if there is a

I also want to incorporate a master javascript menu file that houses the left hand vertical menu bar for all my pages so that I can make changes to the menu in one location and have it instantly reflected across all pages.
Currently my menu is all standard html like the following:
This HTML is on every single page that has a menu and I want to move it to a master file where it is linked to each page - I don't want to use Server Side includes - this must be on the client side.
I was also thinking of putting the file in a jquery file and using $.get(). I'm not sure how the menu code would look in javascript or jquery - I am new to both.
