Right Click And Get "copy Link Address" On Redirect?

Nov 30, 2011

So here's my situation, I have a div that is clickable and redirects to a page using the window.location.href method. I'm not using anchor tags because within the div, there are other links that can be clicked. So I'm using the onclick redirect for the div, then using stopPropagation to prevent the redirect when links are clicked.

The problem is, I would like the javascript redirect to also work like a link. So that when you right click it, you are given the option to copy the link address, as this is significantly more convenient for myself and my users, rather than having to click it first and then copy the URL. Does anyone know how this can be accomplished?

JQuery :: Reverse String - Email Address - On Copy?

Apr 21, 2011

I'm trying to do this email obfuscation thing where I reverse the email direction with php and then on the page flip it right way with css.

Looks great and works great, expect when I copy the email, it's of course backwards.

Would you have any ideas how to use jQuery (or just plain js) to flip it right way when it is copied? Or would it make the whole obfuscation thing useless?

To Disable Right Click Or Not - Copy The Images With The Default Right Click Over An Image

Dec 16, 2011

Should I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? I'm not sure how to change the menu options ere is a link to the site. [URL]

Countdown To Page Refresh - Put A Short Page Of Copy On Each Address Along With Keywords Before Redirecting The User To Main Site

Aug 22, 2011

Our company own a lot of domains and want to put a short page of copy on each address along with keywords before redirecting the user to our main site. I have been able to get the page to load the main site after the desired time using this code in the head...

<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="40;URL=http://webaddress.com/">

That works perfectly, I am now trying to display a countdown timer from 40 seconds down to 0, and on 0 redirect the user. Saying something like "You will be redirected in XX seconds". Is there anyway of doing this? I've been searching google for the answers with no luck and can only seem to find timers that countdown to a set date.

Copy Clickable Link To Clipboard

Oct 29, 2010

I have some Javascript that is selecting text from a form textarea and copying it to the clipboard:
document.myForm.myTextarea.focus();
document.myForm.myTextarea.select();
document.execCommand( 'Copy' );

This works great. However there is a problem when I try to paste the text somewhere else. Assuming that the text that is being copied is a [URL], I would like it to be pasted as a link. When I grab a URL from the address bar inside a web browser and paste it somewhere ( such as an e-mail ), it automatically shows up as a clickable link. When I put a URL into my form textarea and run the javascript, it gets pasted as a plain text ( ie. not underlined and not clickable ).

Why are these two different? I've tried running a program to see what is actually copied into the clipboard and I don't see any differences. There must be something that denotes the URL copied from the address bar as a link and therefore makes it clickable when pasted. Is there a way to force this in order to make what is copied to the clipboard from my form textarea a clickable link?

JQuery :: Switching Link Address To Hash Value?

Apr 22, 2011

I have a main menu at the top of each page of my site and on one single page a Coda Slider. To reach each different slide you need just #1. #2 etc from within the Coda page, but to get to it from a different location you need www.sitename/pagename/#1

Now I cant have both versions in the menu. So is there a way to add some script, just to the single Coda Slider page and get it find each of the links (I can add a class to them) and remove the link up to the # tag, so the link would then just be #1 and would correctly use the Coda slider panels.
