I am trying to get images to load randomly into 4 different divs on my page from the same source folder. However I do not want any repeats in any of the 4 boxes. Is there a code to do this? I have looked all over and can only find random image load for one location and doesn't register if the image has been loaded in a previous div yet or not

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat I have is a site with about 10 pictures, each of these pictures needs to be randomly pulled from folders, each picture slot will have its own folder, due to it being categorized. When the picture is clicked i need it to open a new page with the document associated to the picture. Is there a way to do this without having to rewrite the code every time? Because as there are new documents added at the end of each week.Unfortunately the server I use doesn't support PHP, but if it has to be done in PHP I can switch.Like I said though I haven't messed around with web design in a long time

I just have a really simple website and I am trying to do something for which I know JS is required but I don't know how to do it. I've also searched around but couldn't find the appropriate code.
What I want to do is to make an html page load a different background image every time it refreshes.I will have a list of background images and I want to be able to add in this list, without having to change anything else in the codes after I do this (I think this is made by making an array of images and by putting .length somewhere in the codes, but I don't know exactly how I should do this).I already know how to do an external file (.js) and link to it from my .html page.Now I want the code to put in the .js file, and the code to put in the <body> of my .html file.

For each event there is a page where the photos from that event are displayed.The thing is i don't want to write html code for each and every event, so i've been investigating how to automate this process and i've been answered: javascript.

I have got this great script from the JS anthology Figure 15.13 - folder tree menu. Basically a user clicks on a section link and all the subpages are shown for that section. It is ideal for an interactive sitemap on the homepage.
However, the problem is that when the home page first loads all the links are shown and it takes about 20 seconds for the menu to close up so that only the links to section pages are shown.
Any ideas for how to make only the section pages appear immediately onload?

What it does is for a user to type the folder name of their choice and then after clicking submit a window will pop open and they will be taken to "C:folder" (assuming the user typed "folder" and such a folder existed). I'm not to sure if this is a bug or not, but for some reason the jquery setup I am using does not load images when you have the images placed in a sub folder. The setup is a simple content switcher, and it is a combination of fadeOut, .load and fadeIn.[URL]... If you click on Refresh01, it will load and fadeIn the page, which says "TEST01 TEST01.........." great! But an image should have been displayed too.

Problem: No images load, and I believe I don't fully understand the .appendTo tage.. I don't know if #body is correct. The author of the plugin assumed I understood the relation. Also #homePage may be incorrect as well.
Additionally, I found another plugin that worked for placing an image in the background (not random), and the background image would scale to size, according the users window. I loved that and it worked, just wanted to add random images to the same script.... first things first... I can't even get an image to display at all with the above code.
In case you wanted to know the script I was using to scale the background image, here it is below (although, as you will see in the code for my site - this image feature is disabled as I am trying to make adjustments).

But, now I want to be able to set a default picture to be shown first and have the random pics appear next. I also don't want the default pic to show up again in the random array. So basically, every time the page was first visited, or refreshed it would show the default picture then move into the random pics.
