Raise A Mouseover
Dec 30, 2007i have a link and just beside an image.
when my mouse is over the image, it displays a <div> that covers the <a> (link).
Basically the link and image should perform the same action (display a hidden div).
however, when my div is displayed, the link should be "like" the mouse is over the link (it should change the color).
so how can i raise the mouseover (or simulate it) on the link (when the div covers it) ?

Enable Uncertain Amount Of Textbox With Uncertain Amount Of Radiobutton?

Is uncertain that how many info will appear as its from database. I am able to enable the radbtn with chkbox by getting radbtn name. How can i enable only the selected radbtn textbox under name and number in order for user to edit it?
Validating Multiple Uploads
Jul 11, 2003when uploading multiple files with php, one uses an array for the name of the file field like this: <input name="image[]" type="file" id="1" size="40">
Now I have some genius jscript that checks the file types of multiple upload fields. But it requires the name of each of the fields to be unique. Since all my fields have image[] for the name - the script breaks. If I name my fields with image1, image2, image3 etc, the jscript works.
In order to upload multiples, php requires the name of the field to be an array as above. I just need a little tweak to this jscript!
Here is the jscript. pretty simple, except for when the field is called using it's "name" property midway down. I tried using unique id's but this didn't seem to work - of course I might have messed it up. Code:

But what that event is known as? By text selection i mean placing mouse pointer to some text and left clicking and moving the mouse either to left or right. Now when user selects some portion of text and releases the mouse's left click button a event should be raised. Obviously that event should know what was the selected text. So is it possible ?

JQuery :: Plugin - Ajax Image Uploads
Jun 25, 2009I'm doing some ajax image uploads using the plugin at [url] I have multiple images on the page which I will be replacing with the uploaded image. My problem is this, trying to refer to the clicked image within the onComplete function.
I tried creating a variable that refered to 'this' which I beleive to be the image element but when I make the change to the element it is not refected, making me think that the variable is a copy and not a reference ?

Got that part sorted.Within the list are a sub-group, maximum of one of these can be chosen.E.g. in a list of the numbers 1 to 8, I can choose up to four numbers, but only one of them may come from numbers 5 - 8.I can get it to choose a maximum four items from the 8, disabling other boxes once I reach four.I can get it where I can choose only one of 5 to 8.But, if I select, say 6 first and then go back to check 1,2 and 3, it enables 5,7 and 8 again. I don't know how to make them stay off once they're off.CODE:

When I boot up the page in a fresh browser, it invariably crashes; the page just hangs. But, after killing the browser, and opening it up in a new one, the page seems to run fine. Is there some sort of javascript code limit that a web page / browser can handle...? Anyone know if there's a way to get around this? [Did I misread the problem? May 9, 2011I have been using Javascript to write a web application for my company to use as a manufacturing control system. It is all working very well, but I have come across a basic problem that many of you may know the answer to.
I start my web page by referencing jquery and a couple of plugins. Then I add my own Javascript functions. Following that I add all the PHP code and functions, followed by the HTML. The problem I have noticed is that if I add another Java script function, something stops working. take the function out, delete not comment out. and all is well again. After pulling my hair out for a while, I realised that there seems to be a limit to the amount on lines of Javascript I can put into the page. The solution is simple, just gather all my Javascript code and put it in another file with a .js extension and add it as a reference in the top of the file after jquery. I can then add as many line of code as I like without a problem.

Sep 8, 2010With my current javascipt code I have successfully implemented jQuery Form Plugin with my own page. It hooks forms and submits them, and upon either failure or success the proper function is fired (success and error options of ajaxForm) and the XML is handled.
However, whenever I add a <input type="file"> my code fails to determine wether or not an error occured, since the HTTP code of the request seems to be set to 0, and thereby somehow being treated as "success" event, which it clearly isn't, as the PHP returning the XML sends a HTTP 400. (Firebug confirms this.)
Simply put, why does the file upload cause a 100% "success"-rate with HTTP status 0 where it shouldn't, and how could I work around this if required?
