I am using simpleTreeMenu plugin and it is working fine except for the following. I am building the tree dynamically. If I put in an alert ( //alert("Herem1" + ulidp); )prior to the call of the simpleTreeMenu() function, the page works as expected. It allows me to expand and close the tree, and an alert appears if I pick the selected leafs. But if I take out the alert prior to the call of the simpleTreeMenu() function, the page is not working as expected. The tree hangs, it will not expand once closed. It is like the simpeTreeMenu needs a bit of hang time between the unorderd list (the tree) being built and the invokation of the simpleTreeMenu() function. Does anyone have an idea why this might be the case?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm creating a web form that allows users to select from a list, choose a quantity and have the total for that quantity calculated, but when I run the html, I get Nan in the total price box. The problem starts with the calc price function. I've tried eval(), parseFloat to change the text to a number, but I think I'm putting the code in the wrong place.The first part is the javascript code (I have linked in a separate file) with the html below it.

now I have this calendar program and when you click on a calendar date with an event it pops up in a new window, now I want it to pop up in the same window
the below code makes the selected event popup
function popupEvent(day, month, year, w, h) {
var winl = (screen.width - w) / 2;
var wint = (screen.height - h) / 2;
win = window.open("popup.php?day=" + day + "&month=" + month + "&year=" + year + "");
if (parseInt(navigator.appVersion) >= 4) {
win.window.focus();

I have an Iframe in my page and it's referencing a database application. Everything works until I choose a selection form that forces a refresh and then the whole iframe pops out of my page and into it's own page.
So if I put iframe source of page1.htm into page2.htm when the refresh happens I just page page1.htm not embedded in page2.htm. It's like it's jumping out of my page.
why the alert inside of the load function isn't working?
PHP Code:
preload: function(source,width,height) {
var proto = $(document.createElement('img'));
var w,h,r;[code].....
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#emailSubmitBtn").click(function () {
$.get("/site/content/test.lasso", { "message": "Hello", "recipient": "Fred" } ,

produces no returned data, but if I comment out the .click() line (and corresponding brackets) the expected data is returned.
I want the .get() triggered by clicking #emailSubmitBtn.
I've recently found a sweet photo gallery script, which I have successfully implemented into a website.However, the page also uses jQuery and another script to make the menu animate a little, and depending on which order I put the scripts in, one overrides the other.Code:

<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.js"></script>

I'm working on a site for a friend, in which I want to employ a lightbox. I used this "FancyZoom" script from Fancy Zoom by John Nunemaker but I've run into a problem where everything in the div that should be displayed in a lightbox is being stripped of its css properties.I've been ripping my hair out over this for a few days now but I'm really stuck. I was hoping someone could take a look at the page for me and give me a clue?

When I load the page, it keeps popping up Do u want to allow this content, I have to click to allow. I want to stop this, and after doing some searching I found the setting in Internet Options, Advanced - "Allow active content to run in files on my computer".
Perfect.
Doesnt work. When i check this box, the page loads without the warning, but then the Javascript just doesnt work.
Getting quite annoying, because this file is my home page.

I would like to use several jQuery effects through a website that I am developing; a login popup, a drop down contact form, coda content scroller, and tabbed content. However, these implementations keep interfering with each other. Is there any way to get around this? I seems as though there must be a way to use multiple jQuery functions.
The page is here: [url] Implementing the Login Popup (which doesn't have a login form inside it yet) broke the contact drop down, and it stays revealed now. The tabbed content in the sidebar seems fine though.
Something already broke my coda jQuery content scroller here: [url]
Separately, they both work perfectly. The css-script for a beating heart does what it should do: feature a beating heart (or rather, image of a heart). The random background cycling script chooses a new background every 10 seconds.
However, put together, they still work, only every 10 seconds, the screen blinks black (the background cycler does not feature a transition on its own), both the background and the heart (and everything else on screen) blink out of existence for a split-second and then everything is back again.
I've managed to determine, despite knowing absolutely nothing about CSS and JS except for what little I've learned today through tinkering with the scripts, that if I remove the variable "infinite", the heart will beat only once after each transition and the blinking glitch will not occur, so it has something to do with that.
What I want is this: A heartbeat animation that's infinite with a background that cycles through a set number of backgrounds every X seconds without any kind of transitions or blinking effects.
The heartbeat CSS-script:
Code:
The background cycler (html-file):

The background cycler (js-file):

I have a slideshow plugin and there is a function in it called stopAutoplay(). This is called when I click on the pre-defined pause button in the slideshow, so it stops.
If I switch between the slideshows(Slideshow 1 2 3) the slideshow is getting messier and messier because it starts many slideshows at the same time and the plugin gets confused what to show.
I figured if I click on the pause button before I switch to another slideshow it works fine. Therefore what I would like to achieve now is to call stopAutoplay() somehow before I switch to the new slides.
How can I call stopAutoplay() from the html file when I click on one of the slideshow 1 2 3 buttons?
I've tried the codes in green below but they don't work.
fadeSlideShow(); plugin pause function part:
stopAutoplay = function(){
clearInterval(intval);
intval = false;

If there is a better solution let's say to kill everything before the new slideshow appears it's even better. Although I've tried die(), empty(), detach(), remove(). I hoped remove() would help cause as I read it's suppsed to remove everything but for some reasons it doesn't...
I am creating an extension plugin to the jQuery UI Date Picker plugin mostly to just standardize the options used, as well as to add an icon to open the calendar. I am aware of the plugin's use of an icon trigger, but this will not work, as I am using an icon in my sprite image and not wanting an additional request for a mere icon.
My plugin code:
(
function
(
$
)
[Code]....
This is where it really perplexes me as this code does work to produce the calendar icon. while I could get it to work this way, it is obviously not the better choice as it should be part of the extension plugin and not get repeated in all of my various implementations of the plugin.
