Opacity Doesn't Work On Images / Which Were Dynamically Loaded In IE6

The following code adjusts the opacity of an image which were dynamically loaded. It works on all browsers except for IE6.However, jQuery did apply inline styles "FILTER: alpha (opacity=30); ZOOM: 1" on the image. It just doesn't work.

know why flash doesn't work on content dynamically loaded via AJAX? This is for a one-click CopyToClipboard function. I use ZeroClipboard for this. HTML CODE (this works perfect with the clipboard() function)

JQuery :: Images Have Opacity Value Immediately - Instead Of When The Page Is Loaded?

In my application I've the small line:

THis is very nice effect and more easy to use than the CSS method. I'll use this for some hover states.

Problem is that the opacity starts when the page is loaded. So you see the images 'flash' from normal to 'opacity: 25'.

Is there a method so the images have the opacity value immediatly, instead of when the page is loaded? Like a step before 'document.ready'. Or is the only way, the CSS way?

I'm experimenting with jQuery plugins. I have this code to fade in a "lightbox":

It works fine on Firefox and Chrome, but in IE (7 and 8) and Opera the element just appears rather than being faded in. I've seen a few solutions posted online but have yet to find a solution that works.I have an example page if that helps. I'm also having a few other problems: In Internet Explorer (7 and 8), the first thumbnail never displays the lightbox (the onload event never fires). But the others work fine. In IE7, the code to fix the ClearType bug doesn't work. $(this).css( 'opacity', '' ) should remove the opacity style (in this case, the 'filter' property) but it doesn't remove it. I also tried to remove the filter property. In IE's dev tools it still has style="filter: ;"

In Opera, it never runs after it has loaded once. In other words, if an image is in the browser cache the onload event never fires.

Js Doesn't Work When New Content Loaded Into Div / Resolve It?

I'm trying to create a new portfolio website and I've setup the framework the way I'd like to have it. I have some slight animation through the use of jquery, but because I want to preserver that animation availability (on click) I'm needing to do the amateur thing and swap content out in a div - similar to if I were to use an iframe *shudders*.

When you come into the site, you click on a link, and the nav moves up, and the content window opens, displaying the content for the link selected. When you click on the other links, the content simply changes. This all works as of current. The problem is though, once that new content is loaded into the main content display div, the assigned js and/ or jquery does not work.

The page is live, and can be seen here if you click on the 'about' link, it shows the about page, but has all of the information expanded. If you look at the about page directly,[url] it has some light js that allows the headings of the resume to expand and contract - BUT it doesn't work when loaded into the content window. [code]...

I have a page that contains images, and those images are displayed in a fancybox window when they are clicked. Some of these images are loaded dynamically after the page loads via AJAX.

All of the images exist inside of link tags with class="challenge_image_gallery". The code works the way it should on the images that are initially loaded on the page. However, when the new images are loaded onto the page using AJAX, the fancybox window loads two instances of the image that was clicked on rather than one as it should.

I tried to apply jCarousel on Ajax loaded content. It works on Firefox/IE/Opera, but not on Safari/Google Chrome. Can somebody help me finding where the problem isP.S. On IE, when you close the Ajax content there will be a alert message shows 'Jcarousel: No width/height set for items. This will cause an infinite loop. Aborting ...', but it doesn't matter as the alert function can be shut off.

Onclick Doesn't Work When Dynamically Creating Div

I'm a JavaScript noob, and I'm playing with it. I have some code which created a div inside another div by using the innerHTML of the outer div. That had an onclick event which worked fine. Now I'm trying to create the div as an object, so I'm doing something like this:

The new div is shown, but clicking on it does nothing. (I originally had another function, but changed to the alert for testing.)

The "Permission denied" cross site issue.

I have to check from my external domain if a service is running on localhost:8080 of a local machine.

I'm using XMLHttpRequest to do it.

I'm checking a local-web-server, not a file.

Every browser doesn't work, but Firefox. So I'm looking for a work-aorund.

An iframe? a flash swf? an applet java? HTA applications?

A side question is, why does FF work? Because it's a local-web-server?

Each time I dynamically load the options of a select box and then try to do anything with it (such as clicking it or using other JS code on it) I get the following Firefox error:Error: Index or size is negative or greater than the allowed amount = NS_ERROR_DOM_INDEX_SIZE_ERR

I Can't Get All Images Pre-loaded In Frames

The pages which have these images are frames.... and even with my best attempts to preload them all still most do not. Some use more than one image and the flicker is obvious.

Below is how I am loading them, and it doesn't matter if I use URL referenced images or locally, (i.e. ./image1.gif)

Cannot Locate Dynamically Loaded Control With GetElementById

I'm having a problem with some dynamically loaded content.
1. Ajax request returns some content that goes in a div. Inside that content, there's a text box with the id "coupon"
2. Also inside that content is a script called add_coupon that sends another ajax request. Use pushes a button, function gets called, all is well.
3. Inside the function, "document.getElementById ( 'coupon' )" returns undefined.
