i have a javascript bookmark to log me onto my schools site[URL].. it works fine if the page is already open, but with using the link to open the page, it runs the remaning script before the page loads and it doesn't work. is there any way to fix this withou using setTimeout()
I want to - after the page has loaded - detect a text string in the code..Simply put I want javascript to detect a text string in the source code and return it to me -- AFTER the page is fully loaded.
I have a frameset page that creates several subframes. Does anyone know how to inject the script tag or some js code into the child window before loading of the child frame begins? The reason is to make the pages back-compatible with another system without changing a lot of code. If I can inject the script before the page loads, then it will handle the compatibility issues.
I've successfully injected the code into the child frames by using: frames.childName.window.eval.call(frames.child_name.window, myCode);
And the functions are available to the child frame after it loads, but the code needs to be available to the child frame before/while it is loading.
I want some codes that would automatically double click on click where ever I want like may be 10 seconds after page loads so it would full screen the channelmay be something like this
<script language="javascript> window.setTimeout("autoClick()", 150); function autoClick() {
I have a website with a floating cart and it loads fine and works almost flawlessly . However, when a person has a bunch of items in their cart, and they want to minimize it for the rest of their browsing experience, every time a new page loads, or a refresh happens, the floating cart un-minimizes and expands out fully again displaying all the items.
This can become very annoying during the shopping experience when you have a bunch of items loading and just taking up space in the browser. Therefore, I am wondering if their is some html or script that would save the minimizing in the floating cart, and carry it over to the next page, and the rest of the browsing on site?
i am working on a custom drop down list that has hidden #options DIV which is shown when the user clicks on a button. the problem i am having is that the click event does not seem to be attached to the LI elements since they are hidden when the page first loads. if i show the #options DIV when the page loads everything is working as expected.i've tried to attach the click event after i show the hidden UL but that didn't work either.what can i do to make sure the LI click event fires? i tried to put A tag inside of LI and attach click to that but to no avail.
Can I add code to my pages that will not allow me to click on my own google ads (accidentally). I would like to add this code so just in case I accidentally click on my own add it will not get counted.
I would like to run the javascript code in between the script tag on a button press, but the code runs as the page load. Please point out what I am doing incorrectly.

It seems like when I load javascript code into a page, that each item I add, such as an accordian vertical navbar, image slider, etc, that each time I add one, the page loads a second or so slower with each one added. I would like some of these features, but is this just a part of life, or are there tricks to avoid the slower load time? It is not major time but after the 2 items I mentioned, it added on about 2 seconds.
I read that $(document).ready(function() might slow me down but I do not see that statement in any of my .js files.
I have a html cum javascript code.There is thumnail on the page .When somebody click the thumnail ,the full resolution of the same image would show and when click of full resolution the thumnail would show.It is going well with one thumanil of the page when there are 2 thumanil on the same page,clicking on first thumnail shows the full resolution of the same but the 2nd thumnail is also showing at the back of full resolution.It looks like full resolution image is transparent..
Here is the code ,you can try it by running at your own computer.
New to jQuery, I did many searches before posting. This is happening in both IE6 and Firefox 3.0.13. I've gotten the following script to work under strange circumstances (explained below first snippet).
When a visitor visits my website and clicks anywhere on the page, (regardless of where the mouse clicks) it will automatically redirect him to another site.
I think an event listener might be a solution, but I'm not sure.
On click Vertical radio button it will load into the text area the code of a vertical table. If user select the radio on horizontal it will load another html code to put the table on horizontal display.

I am looking for a javascript code for this idea under this messageI want to create a kind of shopping website so when you click on a image or text it will add some text to a textarea,, it will include the name of item and price of an item
I have a page with a form, that represent questions and the corresponding answers.I defined the minimum questions, answers, and their maximum.So I added a link in the form to add question (along with the minimum amount of answers), and a link per question to add an answer in it.the "click" event for my links is like:
the code look more like JS, but basically it.adds the html code in the corresponding divs.The problem is the following: if I add a question, it also add a link to add answers to this question, but this link does not fire the event.Did I miss something to add to make it work?I mean the link in html page is exactly the same, I even tried not changing the part with the int, it still doesn't work.
I am working in web application project. In this on a div i have double click event to open a popup box, in android browser if i did double click then it fires zoom in event. Please any one help me javascript code for detecting long press/ double click vent in android browsers.
I have my html code, when I loaded and when I click on "save as", I need to save that in particular directory, can I do that, if yes, can I get some sample code?.
I currently have a normal link like Code:<a href="http://sitepoint.com" class="link">sitepoint</a> and when a user clicks on it I want to be able to change the "link" class to a different class. However, I don't want to add anything to the actual link html. Is it possible to do this using javascript without modifying the original link code?
I cant really figure this out, the only thing i could see messing it up is the javascript:void(0) inside the anchor link but since there is a double click function and a click, it should only be one click.I put autoOpen which i think is also causing it, but i did that so theuser can open it, close it, and open it again so the delay "double click" is saying for the first time initialize and then the second click is opening?? if so how do i get around this?
HERE IS MY JQUERY $(document).ready(function(){ $("#pro_edit_profile").hide();[code]....
There is a checkbox on a form page, when you check it, a div will become visible with some extra inputs needed for that situation. To simulate this click on the checkbox external, I use click(). With jquery files 1.4 and lower this works properly and like expected. When using jquery library 1.4.1 or higher, something does not seem to work properly. Sooooo, the code:
Somehow I managed to get this thing 'sort of' working with 1.4.1 or higher. But the code to accomplish this is absurd. See functioncheckTheBox4Plus() on line 8. It works :) but shouldn't.. Or is it the other way around?
I am looking for something like when someone clicks on product list on templatemonster.com and the dive appears with check boxes and the sidebars moves and the page get focus on the that div;
what I am going to achieve is that when someone clicks on a button/link so that a div appears having a form and check boxes and the screen focus gets on it
I was wondering if there any examples out there that create a Draggable ifram that display another URL in it. In this iFRAME before loading the URL it will display a progress bar once the url has loaded the progress bar will disappear.
