I just implemented a nice little calendar popup script that I found on javascriptkit.com.It works fine in IE7, Firefox 3 and Safari 4.Here's a link to the script:I recently installed IE8 myself, and apparently this script doesn't do well in IE8.Perhaps somebody out there knows why that is, and have a solution to my problem?

I am trying to change the default date format within my date picker, but nothing I do seems to work.
This is the relevant Code:
$(function() {
Date.format = 'yy-mm-dd';
$('#popupDatepicker').datepick();
});
<p><b>Date Of Birth:</b><input type="text" name="dob" id="popupDatepicker"><br>
All I see is dd/mm/yy no matter what I change
I need it in a format suitable for MySQL

I've used jQuery's datepicker in the past to choose start/stop dates for a single record. Now I'd like to create a page where I can use the datepicker to choose start/stop dates for multiple records. You can see a stripped down version of my code at [URL]. I have start/stop dates for three records and would like to use the datepicker to let the user change the default date. I currently have an icon next to the start times and if you click on it it pops up a datepicker element for the top record where you can select a date and it'll be posted.
My problem is that I'm not sure how to generalize the code to let it work correctly for the 2nd and 3rd records. I'd like to keep just one function to handle the hide/show so that I can later let the user add additional records to the list and also let it be intelligent enough to handle it. I don't have much experience with the proper way to create name/id selections that javascript will then know which fields it needs to edit. A minor problem that I noticed is that the calendar seems to push the time over to the right even though the row it is in should span two columns. What am I doing incorrectly that is causing this?

I'm trying to build an application that allows the users to have their "hours of availability" during a specific month/year/ etc. I'm looking for a script that allows me to select multiple days from a calendar using Javascript. Ideally it would be similar to a windows App where they can click CTRL and select individual dates. Entire weeks. or only a few days at a time. I'd like to take the results of the selection and insert them into a mysql database.

If the screen resolution is small enough, or the window is small enough the calendar that appears when a user clicks the textbox for the datepicker appears on top of the textbox - usually it appears below.
I have some text links at the top-right of my page, and if the window is small enough, the datepicker calendar goes underneath these text links.
Is there a way to have the popup calendar ALWAYS on top of every element on the page? If not, is there a way to have the datepicker popup calendar ALWAYS appear below the textbox?

I am using both the jQuery Validation plugin and the datePicker plugin. I would like to get the error message for this showing after the calendar icon for the datePicker plugin. I have tried this and cannot get it to work and so far not found a solution on any website I have checked.
jQuery Validation code
$(document).ready(function() {
$("#adminform").validate({
submitHandler: function(form) {
SubmittingForm();
},
rules: {
date: {
required: true,
date: true
}},
errorPlacement: function(error, element) {
if(element.type == 'input') {
error.insertAfter(element.sibling(a));
} else {
error.insertAfter(element);
}}});
});
Trying the sibling thing was my last probably silly attempt at getting this working.
HTML output when the field fails validation
<fieldset>
<legend>Update Date</legend>
<label for="date" class="admin">Date of Run: </label>
<input type="text" class="date-pick dp-applied error" size="7" value="" name="date" id="date">
<label for="date" generated="true" class="error">This field is required.</label>
<a title="Choose date" class="dp-choose-date" href="#">Choose date</a>
</fieldset>
As you can see the label for the error is placed inbetween the input field and <a> for the calendar image. How to get this label to show after the <a>.

I've created a form using datepicker to choose the birthdate, now I'm trying to control what's in my inputs, but I have issues when it comes to the input of my datepicker
When I have focus on my input I diplay a message to guide the user, when the event blur happens I check if the input contains a valide date and display an alert when it's wrong, but the blur is launched even when the user clicks on the calendar of datepicker, so the alert message is displayed which isn't supposed to happen
I'm looking for a way to wait for the user to select a date before executing the blur, or at the blur event check if the calendar is open or closed before doing any control

I have a file system where users upload files. Using PHP the file is time stamped and that time stamp is saved in a database. This has been going on for months so I have a lot of files with server times saved in the database. Recently the client asked if the date/time could be displayed according to the client's timezone instead of the server's. So, I need a javascript function that will take a PHP formated date string and convert it to the clients time-zone.
So let's say there is a file with a date/time of 07/15/2004 1:15 PM in central time zone and the client is viewing the file today in pacific time zone (2 hrs diff.). I need to show that date/time as 07/15/2004 11:15 AM. I need JS to take གྷ/15/2004 1:15 PM' and somehow convert it to གྷ/15/2004 11:15 AM'. Code:

I am using JQuery V. 1.3.1. If a date field is on the top of the page, the calendar shows up correctly right near the date field. But if the date field is set to the bottom of the page, the calendar appears somewhere in the middle of the page, which I have to scroll the page up to see the calendar.

I have a series of paired <select> objects. By paired I mean the <option> values of one is dependent on the state of the other via an ajax call. Something like:
[Cdoe]..
Here's where the bizarre behavior happens. If I trigger a change event for "primary" classes, i.e. $('.primary').change(), only the LAST "secondary" gets changed. For the list above only $('#number_six') would be dynamically filled. I tried using $('.primary').each(function(){ blah }) instead but got the same result. I read somewhere that some change events are only registered when the object is no longer in focus, so I tried adding .blur() to the end of the statement.

Is there a way to control the date of datepicker? I mean the user cannot control what is the current date of today? I found some users they adjust the date and time properties of a computer so the datepicker will adjust the date too!
