Jquery :: Gallery Script Alpha - Highlighted The Area Which Control That Effect

I have develop a jquery image gallery with text description , image and other thing and its live know. you can check the live gallery Executed for Makkah ! But i am facing some problem in JavaScript coding as i am not a expert init. If you click on any image you can see that new information appear with some effect like fade in or fade out. Which gives very bad impression to my client. I want to remove that effect and want to appear the text immediately without any effect. I am placing the code below and also highlighted the area which control that effect and try myself to edit that one can't able to get the results that i want.

making a site where i have multiple menu bars sliding up or down showing content. I'm wondering if there is a way to control the contents of the sliding div because now it slides up slightly aswell as the div gets closed (or opened), but i'd like it to stay where it is.So basicly i want the contents of the sliding div not to move when its animated, is that possible? Maybe with another jquery command?

I've got a simple javascript image gallery I'm using, but I was wondering if it would be possible to use HTML in the description area. Basically I want to be able to create paragraphs, bold text, and links in the description area. Is it possible? Here's what I'm using:

I'm using two scripts on one page, one for a Lightbox gallery effect:

And one for a DIV fade-in effect:

But adding the Lightbox script breaks my DIV fade-in: [URL]. I have the display:none removed from the style for the offending DIV for the time being, so this page will even work. How can I utilize both the fade-in script and use the LightBox gallery script at the same time?

I have a gallery style page with rectangular images on laid out like a grid of nine. When the user looks at the page there is just the images and no information, but when they hover over the image I would like some text and a bar underneath to show up over the top so the user can read some information.my images sit in "a" tags. There is also a div tag in there which has it's z-index and position (absolute) set up so that it sits over the top of the image element in the "a" tag. stripped down e.g.
<a href="#"><img.... /><div>the info</div></a>
I need the div tag withinin the "a" tag to be set to 0 opacity. When the user hovers over the image the div tag slowly fades in to 100% opacity. Once the user moves the mouse away from the image the div tag slowly disappears again.I need each one to work independently so that it only changes the one currently being hovered over.

I am running into an effect issue with IE only. I have a <UL> with about 4 <LI> and I apply the fadeIn() on individual <LI> based on user actions. Inside of each <LI> I have a div that is styled with: -moz-opacity:.8; opacity:0.80; filter:alpha(opacity=80); The problem is that when I fadeIn() the <LI> all of its children elements' opacity is taken from 0 to 100%, AND THEN the div that is styled with the opacity is taken back to 80%. This causes sort of a flicker because it goes from 0% to 100% and then quickly back to 80%. Is there a way to get around this? Is that a known bug? I've found a post regarding this issue but it's a little bit different this time.So I've created a .php script which creates some galleries where users can click them and browse their respective photos. It works like a charm in Chrome and FireFox, but IE doesn't like it.With this code:

When I click on the gallery thumb it should open the first photo in fancybox and browsing through the gallery should by peanuts. And it is, but with IE just opens the .jpg in a blank page without fancybox. The strange thing is I've used the same script approach in another website and the fancybox works just fine with IE too. So why doesn't in this case?

This is my first serious attempt at using a regular expression.My first name field should allow alpha characters only [A-Za-z], but it seems to be testing for the presence of 1 alpha character. If one is found in the string then anything else is allowed.Bob returns valid which is what I need.Bob1 returns valid but should NOT be valid..1 returns valid not valid which is what I need.My code.

I have a navbar numbered 1 thru 6 for a slider. You can see it here. [URL]. Is there a way to have the current navigation number share the rollover state? In other words, if I slide to #4 then the actual navbar #4 displays in a different color until I navigate away from it. I originally thought that this would be a simple CSS thing, but that idea went more towards javascript 'test'. Then I wondered if there might be a plug-in for this sort of thing.

Does anyone have a code snippet to compare those values so I can sort
the array of alpha-numeric values that include both characters and
integers in it?
I.e., if we have values like 4236 and 123234, I want 4236 to be second
because 4 is bigger than 1 rather than using the numeric comparison.
The strings can include character values and strings. Basically, I have
the bubble sort function, the question is how to compare those types of
strings in the alpha-numeric order.

With the code I had to acknowledge nothing had been inserted,(that is, still spaces, it was working. When I added the code to only accept alpha chars etc., I inserted numbers, nothing worked, with no error message. Would you, or can I send the whole code through for the form. I noticed that the form tags had been changed so I altered them as well according to your message.

I created an accordian menu which includes categories, sub categories and sub sub categories. Once you hover(css) on one of the menu options there is a hovering effect. What i would like to achieve now is that once a menu option is chosen that option remains highlighted (:active) until another menu option is chosen.

Im having a bit of trouble with the bounce show effect from jquery ui. To see what I mean, check out my development site. Anytime you modify a part in this computer builder, the rigth side gets updated. Right now its removing and adding list items. Problem is when click items too fast, the animation doesnt finish and the next item gets bumped lower and lower.

I'm building a WordPress site with a nice jQuery effect that fades/unfades images within a navigation menu on rollover. So when the mouse moves off the image, the colored image should fade back to reveal the original non-colored image. This works perfectly as-is, but client wants the active page to keep its colored/ highlighted menu image when mouse has moved off of it. The bolded line of the code is where I tried to set that up...

WordPress should know whether the page is 'current' or not, so why doesn't this work? Currently the nav images remain highlighted when the mouse moves away. If I remove my attempt (the bolded line of code) then nav rollovers work beautifully, but active page still isn't represented with a colored nav menu image.

how to make the following two simple image galleries:This one displays a specific image when its link is clicked ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/gallerysimp.html) And this one displays the previous/next image for whatever's showing ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/prevnext.html). (During its code, it points to this .js file ((URL address blocked: See forum rules) /tests/ nextPrevious.js).)
My question is, how do I combine those two galleries? How can I make one gallery that contains both kinds of links? Since the two galleries were copied from different places, the names they use aren't the same, and I'm not sure what to change to make it all unified. (I tried fiddling with it for over an hour before giving up.)

It needs to allow the user to highlight some text within a paragraph. If the correct text (with an error) is selected it should provide feedback that the user has correctly selected this text.
So what I need to do is
1. Get the text selection
2. Compare this text selection to a predefined answer
3. Provide feedback to the user e.g. they are correct if text selection = predefined answer, and incorrect if text selection != predefined answer

Situation:I have a very long page divided into many sections vertical-wise marked by bookmarks, say pageX.html#s1 to s10. I need to show the section inside an iframe (iFrame1) on the mainpage (mainpage.html). I am thinking of having 4 buttons, sitting on the mainpage, to help navigate between these sections on pageX, namely NEXT, PREVIOUS, TOP, END.condition of the frame, fixed width/height, no scroll, no border.Very new to javascript but need this code to make a page work for BIZ.

i'm using a great script from oreilly for an efficient rollover effect on an image map - highly recommend for anyone needing something like this - link is below - my question is how do i modify it so the menu item *stays* highlighted when the page is selected? that is, in the example, if you rollover or click 'home', the image changes, but once you select it, the effect goes away. i've tried a few things but am getting bogged down as to the best approach.
