I am new to jquery and I want to create my own basic function using jquery.The function i want is when i click on a button call as "resetBtn", it will alert out "asd". But my code doesn't work for me.
if i was to change my current code to class instead of id, does it affect other button with same class name in the same form? what if the buttons are in different forms? (same question as 2nd question)
I want to call the click event of the link (anchor tag) on the click of the button. I used this code below in the click event of button to call links click event and it works fine in IE.
document.getElementById('linktag').click();
But, this doesn't work in Firefox. I googled a bit and found that in firefox, you have to do something more to achieve this behaviour. So, I ended up doing this on button click to work in firefox:
var link=document.getElementById('linktag'); var e = document.createEvent('MouseEvents'); e.initEvent(
[code]....
The above code does the click on link when I click on the button. But my problem now is that I have defined a link as
and when click is called and mailto links opens my email client, it somehow ignores the subject and body parameters of the link. It works properly when i actually click a link element. but it doesn't work when i simulate the click event by code written above. above dispatching event code somehow ignores the link parameters?
I am using lightbox on my site along with ExpressionEngine. I have some Jquery script in place that I need to make some changes to. I have managed everything myself except one line where the variable is changed depending on which image is clicked.
Here is a sample page and the code is for central the images
[URL]
The code I ma using is this
[code] <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $$('div.preview').first().addClassName('here'); //add a new link around the large image, assign it a dummy link and //the rel: lightbox so that lightbox.js will recognize it
i am facing a problem after using jquery jconfirm alert. Issue is that after receiving confirm alert, when user press tab to go on Cancel button and press Enter key there, despite of firing event of Cancel button, it fires the event of OK button. this issue is not produced when user press the cancel button by mouse. Waiting for your replies.
Code: <script language="JavaScript"> var checkobj function agreesubmit(el){[code]....
i need to make it like if the button is clicked and there the agreement checkbox is not checked.. it should give an alert that the alert is not checked.. i know that would require a if and else statement but i cant figure out how to do it
I have 3 different images on my page, with same IDs for each. And names for each images as img1, img2, img3 respectively. I am using the following function in jQuery, but for some reason, the alert prompts me with the first image name no matter which image I click.
<script type="text/javascript">function _enabled() {var alertmessage="You are using adblocking software. Ads are a general way to cover server costs. Please disable your adblocking software."
var once_per_session=1 function get_cookie(Name) { var search = Name + "="
I add multiple items with each click and then I want to remove them one by one by clicking. All is ok, but if I add 2-3 items and the click the first one, confirmation alert fires multiple times when i click Cancel. The number of times depends on how many items goes after curent.
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/ TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html>
I am trying to produce a web form to allow wedding guests to RSVP. The form allows them to enter a name and select from a radio button whether they will be attending or not. If they select the "yes" radio button then a further pair of radio buttons are displayed for their meal preference.
They can then click a submit button or they can click another button to add another line for another guest which operates in exactly the same way. I've almost got this working, but it seems that the checkbox change handler is lost for the current guest when a new guest is added and the checkbox value is reset. I've got a feeling I'm doing something stupid but can't for the life of me figure out what.
Code (source file (renamed to .txt) also attached as I'm not sure the pasted code is too clear):
After doing some tutorials, I am not sure if this is a bug, or perhaps someone can give me a better explination why it is working the way it is.I am using Visual Studio 2010 combined in a Master Page. In my aspx page, I have the following code:
Can't get this to work correctly. I need to run an alert if the user clicks the button "#step0Next" and none of the var ckd button's are checked [code]...
I would like to implement a delete functionality on search results like google has. If a user clicks an X next to one search result the result should disappear and some php code should be executed in the background. All of this without a new pageload.
The hide thing was not the problem, but how do I call a php script without having the site reloaded?[code]...
I'm using some click events on normal <a> tags. When I rewrite the links within a html() method call, the click events no longer work. I've set up a very simple example here:When the page is loaded, clicking either of the 'link 2' links displays the correct information.When 'link 1' is then clicked, the main information is redisplayed. However, now, the 'link 2' link in the main paragraph doesn't work, although the 'link 2' link in the menu does.
What I could like to do is use JQuery .click and .ajaxmethods but the only thing I am unsure of is hot to get the ID of the a href tag containing the unique item ID that relates to the db record. Can I use this.id?
It only breaks when located inside the click handler. It does not return response headers or a response. Is there something about event handlers and ajax that I'm missing?
I'm Matteo and i have some problem with my website with jquery on IE8 browser. In the site I have a filter bar, partially crated with jquery. The code is that: <div id='filter_area_icons'>
