In my plans when I click on "Open 1" link in the bottom of the page, inside the div with id="pagehere" it'll appear the page www.mydomain.com/1.htm. The same fot "Open 2" link which should show the page 2.htm inside of the div tags.
Which effect can I use to do this? I am trying to use .html() but it seems it is not the right way..
I've just developed a plugin that mimics the combo box control, albeit it's a special one. That's being defined as follows:
function
$
{
$.fn.extend
{
[Code].....
But this isn't possible, since the $myList variable is a jQuery object. So I just defined some functions, say, $.smartList.getSelectedValue and the like... but in this approach, I've to pass the jQuery object to this functions as a mandatory parameter and this really sucks. i.e., I need to get the selected value of $myList this way:
var value = $.smartList.getSelectedValue
$myList
;
Is it possible to use ajaxSetup to define a username and password that will then be used by getJSON? I have an enviuronment where I have a web server that I'm passing a URL to for a web service call that returns me JSON. I'm doing the call via the getJSON method, and get back the data I want, except that I'm being prompted to log in and I don't want the users to authenticate. I need to provide a username and password somewhere in the URL (or additional details) and so added an ajaxSetup call right before I call getJSON to set the username and password as follows:
jQuery.ajaxSetup({username: myusername, password: mypassword });
jQuery.getJSON(url, function (jsonObject) {
//do some stuff
}
);
For some reason I'm still getting prompted for the username and password for the URL, even though they're being set. I'm working with IE6, and jQuery 1.3.2.
I have a wordpress website with which I wish to provide content via an iframe on facebook.. Without using a wordpress plugin, I would like to know if I provide a function in jquery that basically says if viewport is equal to 520px then either load this css file or add this body class.. Also, if viewport is = to 520px then hide this element.. I think this can be done but after a lot of searching, I cannot seem to find a definative answer..

myObject.prototype.linkFade = function(link, doShow) { with (this) {

Anyone can explain this for me?

View 4 Replies View RelatedFirst of all I need to define an array of 3 elements. Each element is associated with a different first name. Then I shall realize a first function to add a name in the table. The function takes as parameter the table previously created and return it containing an additional element whose value is the name that the visitor wants to add. I must use the dialog box prompt so that the user can specify the name he wishes to add in the table.
I shall also perform a second function which will display the name that is included in the different array elements. This function will also take the table in parameters and proceed with setting the display name with a dialog box alert type that contains all of the name separated by ";".

How is it possible to define a constant in a virtual class?
E.g. I wrote the following code
tml = {
sayHello : function()
{
alert('hello');
}}
now if I want to add a constant into tml virtual class, what I need to
do?
I tried something like
tml = {
const1 : Integer = 0,
sayHello : function()
or
tml = {
const1 : function(){return 0;},
sayHello : function()
in both case, trying to get - inside tml object - the value of
const1 ... it results in a Object value and not the Integer value I
need.
Looking to define the size of a new window. Here's the problem....I had done this and got it to work, like I normally do, however...this page is going to be sent thru email and Outlook chokes on the link that would open the new sized page through the javascript.SO, I was wondering if, there is a way to define the size of the page called, within that page itself...thus removing the javascript from the link in the emailed page.
