JQuery :: .submit() Passing No Values In Chrome When Method Is Post

I have tried to search for the answer to this, but came up empty. I am writing a form checker (and submit) in jQuery, and am testing with Chrome. Once I do my validation, if all is ok, I simply submit the form using...
$("form#courseForm").submit();
and here is my form tag.

In IE it works fine with either POST or GET methods in the form tag, but in Chrome it will only work with GET.When I try to use POST, the form does submit, but I don't get any data sent to the page at all. The only thing I am doing different than usual, is the form does not have a submit button. I am using a "button" tag and using jQuery to capture the click event. <button type='button' name='courseSubmit' class='blueButton'>Save Changes</button> why the POST isn't sending the data in Chrome? Simple workaround is to change it to a GET and it will always work, but I see that as a bandaid fix, and not really a solution to the problem.

I am having trouble finding a code example that uses javascript to get values from a form submitted on a previous page using the "POST" method. I've found some examples on how to parse the query string, but unfrotunately my form on the previous page has WAY too many charcters being submitted to be able to use the "GET" method (there is some upper limit here, I think it may be 255 or some number similar).
By the way this ONLY needs to work in IE, but it is better if it works in all browsers.

But there is a litle problem that i'm unable to fix... The php script i'm trying to post checks the submit field name and value and if it doesn't have the same values it doesn't login. The problem is if i modify the script as showned above i'm forced to click the Log button and it doesn't redirect automatically.

I wrote a little program. When the home page loads, I added <body onload="get();"> to retrieve data from database using PHP and then display on the samehome page. The codes imported to the home page also include a simple form with Submit button: "<form name='commentform'><textarea row='5' cols='20' autofocus form='commentform'>

I send some data by post from page to PHP script. In FF it works fine, but Google Chrome fall down...

I tried the same code without apostrophes, but with no effect.

I found error... In POST variables passed to ajax.php I had 'content': content and content is probably jQuery reserved word (and this variable wasn´t define before). But I don´t know why that works in FF.

Whats wrong with following jquery ajax post request in google chrome? The function is not called after successful response from server. It works on IE but not on chrome. I'm trying to use the Ajax $.post method, in Firefox. This same code is working for me in Chrome. The form handler is working, and I can get Firebug to breakpoint on line 12, where the $.post method is called. But, it won't ever enter the callback, so it's not getting a response. I'm not seeing any data hitting my server, either, so I can tell the POST isn't going through.
One thing to mention that seems odd, the form handler doesn't seem to be executing until the timer, defined below the form handler, executes. When I hit Submit, it'll sit there and the breakpoint won't occur until the timer occurs. This seems odd to me.
Can anyone perhaps spot something that I am doing incorrectly, here?

After further inspection, the form handler isn't running on the timer. I removed the timer all together, and the form handler is still extremely slow. It takes 3-5 seconds to hit the $.post function after submitting. Why so slow?

It works perfectly in Firefox and Chrome, but in IE 7/8 it doesnt do anything. In fact, in IE the inputs that I insert dinamically when I press the button " agregar" doesnt appear in the page, but they are there, because when then when i do the Insert I have all of that dinamyc inputs that I put. The problem is that they are not shown in the page.

In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this?Here is my code:

In my MVC 2 website i have an index page with a list of items. Besides each item is a delete link which once you press it prompts you with a jQuery dialogbox where they need to confirm their action.I get the dialog box op with the right buttons and text. But the issue occurs when I try to confirm and call the deleteJob(jobId) method.The problem is that I never reach the ActionResult method in my controller.

When i override the ajax method with $.ajaxSetup and set the type:'post', then consecutive calls to fetch data from the server, by Ajax Tabs (url), the tab stays Loading... forever. Firebug shows that a POST request was made and it completed successfully, however, the Tab stays Loading... forever. If i set it back to type:'get', the Tabs work fine. is it a bug, restriction? if it's a restriction, then why? workarounds?

I'm pretty new to jQuery so try and go easy. Trying to do a simple AJAX POST using the jQuery post method and it doesn't seem to be working.
Heres my code:
$.post("sub-account-ajax.php", { email_address: "test@test.com" },

Heres the code for sub-account-ajax.php:

When this code is executed I do not get any alerts or any error messages whatsoever. I've been pretty good with figuring things out so far with jQuery, but this is the first I'm stumped with.

I have a div on my page that is populated by a php calendar. The calendar also has month and year input fields so that the user can browse to different months. I would like to create a jquery function so that, when a user changes the month or year field, the div reloads the calendar and passes the selected month and year variable back to the php script. I can't use the value returned by $.post() method out of the scope of success function.
For instance in below example myvar alerted as empty even though var is alerted with a value. Besides, hide does not work in the scope of success function.

Is that needed to trigger ready function again? I can't seem to get a variable declared from within a post callback, so that I could manipulate my script accordingly. I have delete.php, that deletes an id from a mysql db.
