JQuery :: Slidehow Moving Forward To The First Pic
Apr 23, 2011
I've just finished another slideshow, but is there a possibility to make a slidehow go to the fist DIV without sliding back. It should be way better when it appears to slide forward just as the other animations.
I want to build a site where the user can customize the product before moving forward. For example: Start with a stock car. User uses drop down menu to change car color (image changes to reflect change) Then User uses drop down menu to change tires (image changes to reflect change while keeping first selection) I know xhtml & css only. Before diving into a new language and library, I'd like to know if I'm even in the right toolbox.
I'm currently trying to move a div that holds a text message forward pixel by pixel and eventually I'll write the code for it to go backwards and repeat.
But I am not quite understanding what I've done wrong. It seems like a simple task, but It's not going anywhere.
I call a function from the xhtml document like so:
I am trying to use the slideshow javascript found at this site
but i can't get the following line of code to stick in my webpage code...
i follow the directions exactly, but that line above keeps getting 'spit' out of my page altogether...in fact, my webpage does not have any body tags per se, it keeps spitting them out when i try to put them in. the webpage functions just fine--no problems--but i can't get this slideshow script to work b/c i can't get the 'onload' instruction to stay--that body tag keeps getting stripped from my html page...
any ideas as to how to make this script work for me?
I am wondering how Back, Forward browser button works for iframes. Does it bring back/forward iframe or top window? I remember I had before a problem because I wanted to bring back iframe and not top window as it did. But today I tested my Facebook app and was surprised to see it works as I need which means it brings back/forward iframe window and not top. Is it possible that Facebook has some javascript code which does that or is this normall behaviour?
make a scroller that could scroll continuously/constant both forward and backward (from left to right and right to left).
The instance shouldn't scroll unless holding down a link (arrows left&right) outside the scroller. (using onmousedown and stop onmouseup) and it would be great if it's not possible to scroll past the last and first item. (i don't want any empty space) But I guess I could do that with offset and exclude (:
I don't have any code for you, but if you want me to try some more first, I'll do that and send you if I got anything good out of it!
(I also tried the HoverScroll plugin, but since the arrows is implemented in the jquery/js-code I wasn't abled to tweak it as I wanted. That plugin is possibly the nearest already made scroller I've so far seen. However I want the buttons to be outside the scrollerarea, and I also want to be able to change the styling on the whole thing. and I want it to use onmousedown and onmouseup instead of onmouseover.)
I've tried with scrollable and ScrollTo/SerialScroll, but I'm not a code wizard so how to do this.. ;O These plugins seems really great, and I have used them in other projects, so I'm a bit familiar with how they work.
I'm using this to change some tabs around. Is there a way to add hashes to the URL too or some way that i can enable back/forward buttons functions and link to a particular tab?
$(document).ready(function(){ $(".buttons").click(function () { if ($(this).hasClass("current_tab_button")){ //is it the tab that's already displayed
I have a few document ready functions on my page. I don't want the functions to get executed if the page is loaded because the user clicks on the browser forward/back button. Is there a way to prevent the document ready functions from getting executed if the user clicks on the forward/back button?
i'm New to JQuery and I recently had a problem with encorporating a transition at the beginning and end of my carousel. I found that by default it would Fast Forward/Fast Rewind through all the images at the ends, rather than just jump to the slide and wrap.
I've managed to solve the issue (bar a transition effect from the last slide back to the first) it now jumps to slide one, rather than rewinding through all the images. However (and i know this sounds silly) but i'm having trouble doing the reverse. I'll add both the zip file to show a working model if interested and also post the 2 relevant functions :)
I have a form that I want to forward to my email. I had it saving to a MySQL database with PHP, but unfortunately I don't have a server where I can use the functionality of PHP. Some websites code I noticed use Javascript to do this. I don't want to use the MAILTO command. I would like my email formatted relatively nice.
Here is an example I found. <html><head> <title>Pennies on the dollar....</title> <meta name="title" content="Pennies on the dollar...." /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <meta name="keywords" content="James Lloyd Art Artist Portfolio Artwork Collection Jimmieknuckles Sweetjellyrolls Photographer, concert, Keswick theatre, two gallants,avett brothers,hoots and hellmouth, photography, portrait,digital photography,artist,godzero,debbie harry,dylan,rollins,band,bands,music,man man,islands,debbie harry,avett brothers,o'death,scat,porn,bitch,love,sex," /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="[URL]" /> <meta name="verify-v1" content="EZTyzCjCcn5DuxloPDBNTaPdJFkofBjwXIDPVFzKHCg=" /> </head><body> <div id="contact_stage" class="stage"> <a id="title" href="[URL]"></a> <div id="navigation" style="position: relative"> .....
I have been searching, without success so far, for a script that will allow me to carry a value forward from one web page to another.
In the first I have a text entry field iName
In the second I have a text entry field os1
Is it possible to carry forward the value of iName and have it automatically entered as the value of os1 on the second page? I don't need to show it on the page but I do want the value to be transmitted when the form is 'posted'.
I work for a very small business and therefore my job functions are quite varied, and once in a while I stumble upon something which I'm not really qualified to do.
In this case I've run into a problem updating the company's (very simple) web site.
For a variety of reasons, it's become necessary to create a web page that automatically forwards the user to another website on the same server.
I was under the impression the following JavaScript code would perform this function, but it does not seem to work. I would be extremely happy if somebody could give me some hints as to what I'm doing wrong.
I am required to implement such a function in an email.
The HTML format email contains a field and a button. Once user click the button, program will gather the information(email address) in the field and forward this email to it.
I am thinking about the implemented by JavaScript/VBScript, but don't find the solution yet. Could anybody supply some clues?
I have an image gallery and wish to add previous and next buttons to work alongside the numbered links
here is the page with the javascript and html.

I am using formmail and JS to collect booking info calculates a total and sends to email. Formmail redirects to a thankyou page. Here I can send the total to paypal. I have looked and looked, but cant work out how to pass the total from the booking form to the thankyou page.
I get this weird bug on firefox 3.5 and chrome. And strangely IE8 has no problem with it, which is why i think its a JS error. When I got to my site [URL], I get this error for some reason my blogs content moves a few pixles forward. and when i Refresh the page it goes back to normal
I currently manage a website that has a simple banner rotation javascript that randomly rotates banner images and the associated link every few seconds. I have been asked to replace it with a script that will be sequential in rotation and have a couple small button options just below the banner to move forward or backward through the selection.
I figured instead of reinventing the wheel someone surely has a simple a banner rotator with forward/back options, but darn if I can find one. There are countless scripts out there, but I cant find one where the user can select the next banner before its allotted time. It would be simple enough in flash, but it was requested I stay with java script.
Anyone have any leads for a very basic banner rotation script that incorporates the forward/back selection option?
i know html , at JavaSript i'm to noob to actualy make something of my own just Edit, i'm still learning and atm i'm working on a website and I'm struggling to find a way to Filter email addresses to redirect my New Members to their e-mail provider, for example if they would register[url].... after their press Register to be forwarded to [url].... so they would login and activate their account, or if they enter[url] to be forwarded there .
how can i filter email and forward to URL inside my webpage , this could help me with another ideea i have, again this would have to be filtered[url].... etc , to be forwarded to a local URL inside my site depending on what Email Provider they enter to go to a different link so i can redirect them to their email provider.
I want to create back and forward buttons on my web page. I didn't havena problem with that... the thing I am having trouble with is I would like to display "disabled" images when there if there isn't a page to go back/forward...how would I go about doing that?
Is there a way to create an alert that would pop-u when the user clicked refresh?
On refresh:
"Warning: Refreshing this page will bring you back to the beginning of the application. Are you sure you want to refresh the page?"
Yes - No
On page forward or back:
"Warning: Using the forward/back buttons may cause unexpected problems. Please use the tabs to navigate from page to page. Are you sure you want to use the forward/back button?"
