View 2 RepliesSituation:I have a very long page divided into many sections vertical-wise marked by bookmarks, say pageX.html#s1 to s10. I need to show the section inside an iframe (iFrame1) on the mainpage (mainpage.html). I am thinking of having 4 buttons, sitting on the mainpage, to help navigate between these sections on pageX, namely NEXT, PREVIOUS, TOP, END.condition of the frame, fixed width/height, no scroll, no border.Very new to javascript but need this code to make a page work for BIZ.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA general question really, but does anyone have a good technique or source for creating disabled versions of tool bar buttons?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using JQuery in site I'm building and I can see that it works on my browser and a majority of other peoples browsers. However, there are a couple of users for whom the features that make use of jQuery don't work. Unfortunately, these users are remote so it makes troubleshooting difficult. Is there a quick way to check if the browser (Internet Explorer)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to code a site using progressive enhancement methods. It's built upon standards-compliant CSS and HTML and JS. I'm using jQuery on the site to animate some elements on hover etc. Now, when CSS and JS is disabled, it's all good. But, If CSS is disabled and JS is still enabled, the js still manipulates the elements and it's not what I want.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a button and I want it to be disabled (not clickable) after 3 clicks. Also the button text must change at each click.
Example:
Test (3) <- button with text
-click-
Test (2) <- button text changed
-click-
Test (1) <- button text changed
-click-
Test (0) <- button can't be clicked anymore (non active button now)
I would like to loop through elements that are NOT disabled. So far my code is:
$("#addlivestock :input").each(function(){
if($(this).find().attr('disabled','disabled'))
{
var getAttr = $(this).attr("name");
[Code]....
When I click a button that code fires. When that code fires all the elements that aren't disabled get disabled. My code does NOT work as expected and I found the problem, which is if($(this).find().attr('disabled','disabled')). how to loop through form elements that are NOT disabled.
I´m trying to select all input button elements with class="button" in a page in order to change their css class. Looking through some examples I managed to come up with the code below, which works perfectly in Firefox 3.6, but for some reason seem to not work on IE7.
$('input.button[disabled=disabled]').attr('class', 'buttonDes'); how i´t could be achieved?
I am disabling an input button on my data entry form until all of the data validates correctly. When I enable the button it does not always display the same as the Cancel button that was not disabled. Ioccasionally appears asthoughthe mouse is hovering over it. I have discovered that if I tab to the button or if I hover the mouse over it, it then displays OK after I tab to the next button or move the mouse off of it.This is the html that defines the button.
<input type="button" id="submitButton" value="Submit Changes"></input>
This is the javascript that inits the button.
$("#submitButton").button().click(function() {
submitData(); // Submits data via Ajax
});
[code]....
I am trying to select all radio buttons in a document that are not disabled (I thought this had to be: "has attr type=radio and at the same does not have attr disabled=disabled", but I have lost all faith in that). I am sure this is a very simple thing, and I usually dont waste ppl time by asking stupid questions, but I have no idea how do do it. I have experimented for a whole day and is frustrated and tired.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthe HTML spec says that disabled fields aren't submitted during post- back... but I want them to be submitted with ajaxSubmit using the Forms plugin. is this possible with an option now? or something I have to work around?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use jQuery 1.3.2 and UI 1.7.2.
I have this html:
From unordered list is tab navigation
But I need disabled tabs for second level (div caruso).
I have a disabled submit button sitting in the fieldset of a form. What I'd like to do is attach a click event to this button, but from what I understand this can't be done since you can't attach events to disabled elements.
Is it possible to attach it to the fieldset? I'm not completely familiar with event bubbling but maybe it's possible to capture the element clicked?
when the following code is used in my JSP page:
$('#myForm').bind('submit', function() {
$('#submit').attr('disabled', 'disabled');
});
it disables the submit button when my form is submitted (IDs are used). This action displays a result page. If the browser's Back button is pressed to change some of entered items, the submit button in Firefox is still disabled, while the same action in MSIE8 enables it again. I don't know if this is exactly JavaScript/browser/chache issue, how to get the submit button enabled 'automatically' Unfortunately the refresh button in Firefox doesn't help either (probably JSP issue) - I have to press Enter on the address bar which is not very obvious for every user.
I have a table
<table>
<tr>
<td><asp:CheckBox ID="ckbx1111" runat="server" Text="yes" /></td>
<td><asp:TextBox ID="txt1111Req" Enabled="false" runat="server"/> </td>
</tr>
[Code]...
a global checkbox onclick that takes the name of of the checkbox and manipulates to get the name of the textbox to be enabled/disabled or a global checkbox onclick that when acheckbox is checked, the textbox in the next td is enabled, when it is not checked, the next textbox is disabled (and alltext is removed from the box).
[URL]Example on this site u can test what i mean. I want that when all skillpoints are used further click function is disabled or better only works to disable selection to gain again a skillpoint. On current state u can see that when skill counter is at 0, 2 clicks messes up the selection and u can select further on. my code for each icon looks so far like this:
$("#2").toggle(
function () {
if (counter > 0) {
$("#3").attr("disabled", false).fadeTo("fast", 0.50);
[Code].....
I'm trying to recreate a behaviour which enables a disabled checkbox after the user has completely scrolled down to the bottom of a textarea ("agree to license terms"). My current state can be found at http:[url]....The checkbox is not being enabled with my approach. I can enable the checkbox if I explicitly set scrollTop to a value, but then I'm not able to scroll anymore at all. So I am guessing it probably has to do with the scroll check not working properly.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a asp.net required field validator with a validationgroup setting to show a validation summary. some of my form fields are either shown or hidden depending on selections elsewhere. if a div containing a form textbox is hidden i want to hide this element from showing up as a required field in the validation summary so effectively needto remove the validationgroup="mygroup" from the validation control. how would i do this? i know how to check if a div is visible or hidden but not how to use it to conditionally set the validator control attributes.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using the datepicker and found that after selecting the date it would be great to have the cursor go to the field that the date was entered in. The cursor goes to the top of the page currently. how to control that? I guess it's a matter of setting focus after the datepicker function finishes but I'm not sure where that is.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to control the date of datepicker? I mean the user cannot control what is the current date of today? I found some users they adjust the date and time properties of a computer so the datepicker will adjust the date too!
