i have it so my tabs will fade in/out when i click on them using the UI, how do i make this action happen automatically after a certain period of time even if they havent changed the current tab manually?

I'm trying to code a website that's built around an iframe (as in, the nav bar links to content which appears in a central iframe). Now, in one of my pages I've got links that are supposed to open a small text block when they're clicked.
how to do this using either divs or the DHTML window widget [URL], but in both cases the tab appears inside the iframe, and it's pretty cramped. I want to position it relative to the parent window, not the iframe, but so far haven't been able to figure out how to do this.
I have this scroll box javascript code and it works great. Right now it has a left arrow and right arrow and when you move the mouse cursor over either images a function is called and the box will scroll appropriately.
But I want the scroll box just to scroll automatically. I can't figure out the code that should be simple enough to add to just have the scroll to happen automatically in code. Could someone provide me with the modifications necessary to do this... or better yet a way to get rid of the arrow scrolling all-together and just have the box scroll indefinately (when it gets to the end of the box's content it just repeats the images)? and I'm trying to get the images on the left to fit the size of the browser screen on the right when you click on them. The images themselves are huge, so I'd like some kind of code that resizes the images to fit the size of the visitor's screen, which will vary from user to user.
I am using 1.8.4 jquery tab portion. Currently when a tab is selected or hovered the classes change for the UL, OL tags. I would also like the A and span tags to change with the same values (ui-tabs-selected, ui-tabs-active and ui-tabs-hover).
I am using the standard template as below. I have gotten part of the way there but can't get all of the way there. I am guessing I need to change portions of the code from instances of searching for parent of A to do parent of A, A itself and children of A. Or I could find the first parent ul and say addclass, removeclass from all children.

I wonder if there is a way I can make the background image I use for my website to automatically change into one oftheimages I would have in a specific directory on my ftp. For example, if I had 4 pictures in a directory on my ftp, I would like my website to automatically change the background into one of the other 3 images in the directory every Monday. I would prefer if it would do this in a sequence (first the 1st pic, then the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and loop), but a random selection would be fine too.

It works perfectly when I´m on the website, but when I change between the tabs on firefox/chrome, it seems that the function make some kind of queue, and when I come back to the website, it execute the function a lot of times at the same times, passing between the images in less than half second (I configured to change every 5 seconds).

I'm wanting to have a button on a web page where if I click on that button it changes colour. Basically I have 3 images of leds being on, a green a yellow and a red. Depending on the state the normal running state would be green and if there was a problem I could make it yellow and if it was off make it red.
Rather than having 3 different buttons, I want to have 1 that can change when clicked and just cycle through the 3 colours.
I want to be able to automatically filter certain characters a user is typing in either an input field or a textara and automatically convert them to it's equivalent html entity. I've looked at .keypress, which will give me the character they typed, but I have no idea where in the box they have typed it.

I really don't know if this is correct but it works! What doesn't work is the active class. If you use one of the buttons in the first tab you go to the right tab but the tab itself has no class called active and that ruins the style.

I also have one other question: lets say that all the above is my second page and I have my frontpage in which I also have buttons. I want somebody to use the button and end up in the third tab of page 2. My link is something like

The script doesn't work at all.
I am using jQuery tabs and when I have very long content within the tabs, my browsers scroll bar reflects the content in the tab with the most content.
Example, "Tab 1" & "Tab 3" has a very long scroll bar, even though it has no content (because of Tab 2) and you can scroll down through the empty space

What I am codeing is essentialy some digital signaage for my office. I will have a calender that updates through several screens with information in them. The basic page stays the same but the content is loaded into a large iframe in the center of the page and each html file loaded into the iframe is changed using meta tags. This is a touch screen so I want control along the bottom of the screen. I have did this very crudely with css and html. But I would like to refine it a little more with javascript.
I want javascript to control the content of the iframe and javascript to control the buttons along the bottom to manual switch to a diffferent screen along with a button that stops the auto reloading of the page. Here is where I am so far. I have the javascript to automatilly change the iframe src but I need help with the nav buttons and the stop button. Right now the nav buttons are still using the regular <a> tags targeting the iframe.

I have a script that determine the size of the iframe on load:
The problem with the script is that the forum(tree view forum) only shows topics. I have another script that displays the contents of any issue only while clicking (Void). In actual the contents of each issue is charging ahead - but the resize function of the Iframe script not see it.
How do I fix it, that the size of the Iframe will change automatically?

I have a function below where every time a question is submitted, it will add a new row in the table with a textbox which allows numbers entry only. My question is that I don't know how to code these features in this function:
I want the text box to be between 0 and 100, so if text box contains a number which is above 100, it will automatically change the number to the maximum number which is 100.

I am using nested jQuery UI Tabs in my application. My problem is that I want to style them all differently. I can't seem to get this to work, as they all seem to use the same CSS classes.
Is there some way to get the tabs to use different classes, or some other way to do this?

I need to specify the cookie option after initialization of jQuery UI tabs. Though the cookie appears to be set, the tabs script is ignoring it completely.If I set the cookie option at initialization, then everything works as expected.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with jQuery UI tabs. I'm using the append() function to add a new tab to the list inline (with a click of a button), plus the associated hidden div container. I make sure the new inline tab and div contain all the required jquery classes to funcion.
If I select the tabs and click to view source, all looks just perfect, if I copy the source code into a new html document and run it in the browser, it works well, however the new inline tab doesn't work when clicked in the original document. Is there something I am missing here, anyone familiar with jQuery around to tell why jQuery ignores the extra tab, please?
