JQuery :: Make A Dropdown Menu Reappear After An Auto - Redirect And Clicking The Back Button?

Within my code below, when selecting 'Animals'in the dropdown menu a second dropdown menu appears.Selecting any item within this second dropdown menu causes a page redirect. When you click the back button in the browser, this second dropdown menu disappears in every browser besides Firefox. I want the user to be able to change their animal selection, e.g. choose 'Cat' first, then go back and choose 'Bird'.
I don't understand why the second dropdown menu disappears, going 'back' should display the page as it was. Is there any way to get the second dropdown menu to reappear without using a jQuery history plugin? This code does not behave as I have described in jsfiddle, so have pasted it here:

javascript:history.go(-2) makes it go two pages back for links but how do u put it in the script tags just when the page loads go back 2 pages?

I actually want to make a horizontal drop down menu with a sub menu.As far as I have researched, I think that it can be done by JavaScript. I have searched for some java scripts but they are very long and complex.
That made me wonder that for a funcitonality like a Drop down is so complex?
So here is my question : Is there any JavaScript that can be applied for drop down menu exclusively? Which just presents logic of drop down solely?

I have a code that shows a very fancy linkable menu. But the problem is that the dropdown menu, isn't linkable. I have tried in all possible way, but when the class="makemefancy" is in the code. The linkable function will not be possible.

I have a page that is dynamically build through DOM manipulation. So, when I browse outside the page, and then click back, those dynamically created DOM objects are gone. I can rebuild the page easily. So the point is that if the user leaves the dynamic page, then clicks back on their browser, I need the page they are going back to to refresh. I thought it might be something about caching, so I've tried to use all following 3 META tags but it doesn't work.

I installed a template on the following site and did not actually write the javascript dropdown menu seen at the top of [url]
The problem is that if parent list items Ministries and Parish Leadership have enough children, they expand out right off of the screen of low resolution setups.
I am totally new to javascipt programming so excuse my ignorance when I ask how to make the children items to expand out left instead of right if it's detected that the menu has hit the right side of the browser window.

I'm trying to make a dropdown box in Javascript that doesn't need a submit button. Easy enough, right? Well, the only difference with this one is that I want the links inside to go to a location within the same page.
But I keep getting an error in this code: Line 47 - Character 1 - Object Expected. That tells me absolutely nothing! What about you? Can you tell me what's wrong with the code?

On my page I have 3 radio buttons:
"FIRST"
"AFTER"
"LAST"
Beside the "After" radio button I have a dropdown menu:
"AFTER_LIST"
What I'm wondering is how to make the "After" radio either get it's value from /or make it link to the "After_List"'s value.
Also I was wondering how to make the "After_List" values only acessable when the "After" radio is selected.

I have a project where I need a selection of one dropdown menu may affect the select of multiple other dropdown menus on the same page.First, a table is generated, and within each row, it contains a dropdown menu. I'm looking to have a lightbox pop up when a user clicks the Back button in their browser rather than just navigating back. The purpose is to ask a question with a Yes/No answer, and if they click No, I allow them to go back. The only thing I've found anything like this is the onUnload event, but that doesn't prevent them from going back. How should this be handled?

i'm New to JQuery and I recently had a problem with encorporating a transition at the beginning and end of my carousel. I found that by default it would Fast Forward/Fast Rewind through all the images at the ends, rather than just jump to the slide and wrap.
I've managed to solve the issue (bar a transition effect from the last slide back to the first) it now jumps to slide one, rather than rewinding through all the images. However (and i know this sounds silly) but i'm having trouble doing the reverse. I'll add both the zip file to show a working model if interested and also post the 2 relevant functions :)

I want (image1) to display on the page and then after a desired time, lets say 4secs, swap to (image2). I would like (image2) to be visible for another timed period, lets say 3secs, when I'd like the page to automatically load another URL.I have used this solution to ultimately load in the new page (http-equiv="refresh" content="5;example.htm") but when a visitor is viewing a sequence of google translated pages, when a page with this code is loaded, it stops the translation.

provide me with code to make a collapsible menu? What I'm looking for is a vertical menu, that will open up the sub-categories upon a mouseover. Clicking on the menu item will bring them to the specific page. Oh, and this might not matter, but I'd prefer if I was able to style the menu to fit with my site theme.

just trying to get this to work. Code is inserted into document head. I am using this on a confirmation page that comes up after submitting a form, I want the page to redirect to the previous page. I am also wanting to add a timer indicator to the page as feedback to the user.

I've got a form for adding a person to a textfile. The form is made with html and i submit it to a perl-file, where i read out the input and write it in a textfile. After writing the file i want to make a redirect to an overview page with each user and there i want to have a success-message ("user successfully added").
How do i make this success-message on the overview-page after the redirect from perl? I know, i could just redirect to the overview-page with a parameter (overview.html?success=true) and then if the parameter is set, display a success-message. but if i handle it with a parameter then the success-message does not hide after a page-refresh.i've seen a lot of web-applications where the success-message is displayd but hides after a page-refresh..ps: here is an example of an application where they have it programmed like i want it:[URL]
