i recently started using jquery keypad plugin for virtual keyboard. its working perfectly, but the only thing is that its supposed to be used on machines which will have very large displays. so i want thinking of some method to make its size a little bit bigger. i tried the .keypad('change' method but it didnt work.
anyone here who can tell me some way to change the size, i would like the size to be relative to the screen preferably. and it should change the size uniformly when we increase the size of the webpage
I have used javascript to change text size before however the task i wish to try is a little bit out of my league, i have scoured the web looking for an answer and have yet to come close to anything similar. This is sort of a last option for me so i truly hope i find a clue or better yet an answer. Essentially what i am trying to achieve is exactly the effect achieved when you hit "ctrl+" to increase the size of a webpage so that i can include a button/link etc that can be clicked for users with lesser vision so i can avoid going back into any of my clients completed sites and having to completely redo the css/overall design..
is it possible to use keypad URL...for multiple input and textarea? What I want is to position a keypad in a corner of the site, and whenever a key is pressed I want to insert the key to the field which had focus.
I am new to Jquery mobile framework.I have an asp.net web application and I want to convert it into Jquery mobile framework.I have a datalist on an aspx page. The size of the datalist decreases according to the window size to certain extent after which the size of the datalist becomes constant and doesn't decrease with the window size.
All my font-sizes are set as relative sizes in CSS (large, medium, small, x-small, etc). Let's say something is set in CSS to be xx-large, but a visually impaired user wants it displayed even bigger. Can a script determine an element's absolute size, *as it is being rendered by the browser*, and then increment the element's font-size in absolute terms?
I'm attempting to make a web page that adapts to the size of your browser size when it maximized. Because I'm only 15 I'm not such a great programmer or coder. I've done my best with the resources I have though (Fluent in Lua and a natural ability to pick languages syntax up quickly)
Here is what I have so far, it doesn't work and it is starting to puzzle me. As it seems correct as I look at it. I'm sorry if this question show my ignorance. I try my best to hide it.
Some of it is Copy pasted from sources on Google. But only for educational purposes, I learn off reading, examining and testing out snippets.
I'm basically trying to get the max size of the window and resize the div accordingly.
where da boss wants our a large piece of our site to be fully dynamic and integrated on any screen size. This means changing font on size. Well I cam up with a solution, figured if no one has one better, then i'll share
How can I change my text or font size when the user changes the browser size. Example: When the browser is maximized, the font goes to normal, when the browser window decreased, the font size is reduce.
I developed a web application and it is working fine, except for one issue. The application includes uploading files from a JSP to my servlet, and the issue is that i would like to have a limit for the uploaded files on the client side (before actually uploading it).
I investigated alot and found some ways like changing my JSPs to PHPs, which is not feasable for my application. I would also like to add that using the Flash component ("<object>") for uploading is not feasable also at this time. Using ActiveX does not work also (for some security issues in javascript, it can not access the system information, also ActiveX works only on IE).
I would like to add that I have my application running on Oracle application Server, JSPs for displaying the forms, MultiPart Java API for getting the form input values and files to my servlet and everything is developed in JAVA.
Either by limiting the file size or the limiting the whole request size sent to the servlet.
I'd have thought this would be easy but I've been looking for hours and all I can find is info on getting the viewport size, which is normally useful but not in my situation.
In this case I need the actual browser size, including the scrollbars, toolbars, status bars etc. to get an idea of browsers which aren't maximised/full screen and how big they are, and to calculate the amount of the screen taken up by toolbars etc too.
I have a bunch of inline blocks next to each other like such: _[A]_[B]_[C] _[D]_
Key:_ = margin [letter] = box element, <li> in my case
Question: How do I make it so that the margins on the left and right side of my <li>'s determine the <li>'s width? So, in other words, I am looking for each box element to have a uniform width (so A, B, C, D will all have the same width value), but I would like the margins to in fact determine this value...? Basically, I suppose I am more or less setting barricades outside of the box models (margins) and having the padding fill-in the remaining amounts, equally for all 4 boxes...In effect, I would like these <li>'s to stretch the width of a larger container (box), so that their width value is maximized, but nonetheless conforms to the margins...
when i resize the div then i want the text within font tag should be resized as per my div. for example if my div height=400 and width=200 after resized dynamically using jquery then my font (eg: vivek) must be resized with same height and width.
is there any property (in js or jqurey) through which i can set height and width of a font but not using size property.
I'm searching for a short explenation for handling image animation regarding this situation [code]...

I have a div which I want to increase in pixel size by 10px each time a button is checked. The change in size needs to be animated. At the moment, I can only get it to increase to a fixed dimension:
I;m trying to implement increase/decrease font size buttons on a site, but nothing is happening. I've set breakpoints and tried changing $('html') to $('body') and although the code runs, no attributes are set. The code I'm using is:

Even if I remove the cookie, the code runs but nothing happens. Am I missing something obvious?
I have created a grid of images and want them to scale up, similar to google images. I'd like to be able to get at the actual size of an image, rather than the current size. Is there a JQuery function that does this? It seems the width() method only retrieves the current size.
Is there way to download only the parts of jquery that we need to reduce the size of the download for our users? For example, we are only using traversal, selectors and manipulation.
i have i am using a jquery.lightbox-0.5.css does anyone knows how can i specify so that when the lightbox pops up keeps the all the images or at least the lightbox of the image on the same size because when it pops ups dpending on the image some of them are huge they just ocupied the whole screen??

I have managed to put together a slideshow I've wanted, from a combination of two slideshow scripts. But it only has one flaw which for the life of me I cannot sort it out it must be simple. I cannot seem to size the divs inside the slideshow? I've tried sizing the wrapper div around the slideshow, also both divs for each slide within the wrapper as well. But nothing is working? There must be a way. My code is below:
