I have managed to put together a slideshow I've wanted, from a combination of two slideshow scripts. But it only has one flaw which for the life of me I cannot sort it out it must be simple. I cannot seem to size the divs inside the slideshow? I've tried sizing the wrapper div around the slideshow, also both divs for each slide within the wrapper as well. But nothing is working? There must be a way. My code is below:
I am trying to create a slideshow. My requirements are as follows:
-variable image size -descriptor text for each image -previous and next image function (I have used an image in my code by have decided that I would now prefer a text link)
Here is the code I have so far, currently the image and text is not changing!
Iīve just launch my website-portfolio, well itīs not yet the final version but it is almost and despite I am satisfied with the final result Iīve detected a really strange bug that only happens sometimes. The thing is when the first introduction Slide appears (the one with the hand-made drawings), sometimes the images shrink from the normal size to small tiny images. This doesnīt happen always and if you refresh the page it disappears.
Follow the link to the page were the bug happens - [url]. I'm using jquery cycle plugin, check it out.
I'm fairly new to Javascript, and i'm wondering how I could implement a sort of 'buttons' inside an image in a slideshow. An example of what I mean can be found here: [URL].. I would like to implement a slideshow like that, where users can press the index number of the image they would like to see. However, the index numbers should be available inside an image (like in the example above).
So Im trying to create a slideshow with thumbnails the user can scroll through and use to navigate the slideshow. I'm a big fan of cycle so I wanted to use that as my main slideshow component and was planning on using jcarousel for the pager. So far it works great in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, yet in IE the thumbnails are not loading. I'm guessing it has something to do with how the images in the pager are generated and then jcarousel just isnt proccessing that in IE but I 'm not sure. I feel like I'm very close to getting this slideshow to work, yet I need to figure out why it is failing in IE.
I am using a simple prototype slideshow and a more comprehensive jquery slideshow on my website.When these are used on the same webpage on my website there appears to be a collision: (For example)Code:element.attachEvent is not a function[Break on this error] element.attachEvent("on" + actualEventName, responder); How can I avoid the conflict without reverting to a new slideshow?
I am new to Jquery mobile framework.I have an asp.net web application and I want to convert it into Jquery mobile framework.I have a datalist on an aspx page.The size of the datalist decreases according to the window size to certain extent after which the size of the datalist becomes constant and doesn't decrease with the window size.
All my font-sizes are set as relative sizes in CSS (large, medium, small, x-small, etc). Let's say something is set in CSS to be xx-large, but a visually impaired user wants it displayed even bigger. Can a script determine an element's absolute size, *as it is being rendered by the browser*, and then increment the element's font-size in absolute terms?
I'm attempting to make a web page that adapts to the size of your browser size when it maximized. Because I'm only 15 I'm not such a great programmer or coder. I've done my best with the resources I have though (Fluent in Lua and a natural ability to pick languages syntax up quickly)
Here is what I have so far, it doesn't work and it is starting to puzzle me. As it seems correct as I look at it. I'm sorry if this question show my ignorance. I try my best to hide it.
Some of it is Copy pasted from sources on Google. But only for educational purposes, I learn off reading, examining and testing out snippets.
I'm basically trying to get the max size of the window and resize the div accordingly.
where da boss wants our a large piece of our site to be fully dynamic and integrated on any screen size. This means changing font on size. Well I cam up with a solution, figured if no one has one better, then i'll share
How can I change my text or font size when the user changes the browser size. Example: When the browser is maximized, the font goes to normal, when the browser window decreased, the font size is reduce.
I've been searching for about 3 days on this topic. I'm trying to get a template field inside of an ASP.Net detailsview control inside of an ajax updatepanel to work with the jquery datepicker. Very frustrating! I'm using VB with VS 2010. I can get the datepicker to work fine with a simple text box inside of an update panel but when I put it inside of a detailsview control it stops working.
I developed a web application and it is working fine, except for one issue. The application includes uploading files from a JSP to my servlet, and the issue is that i would like to have a limit for the uploaded files on the client side (before actually uploading it).
I investigated alot and found some ways like changing my JSPs to PHPs, which is not feasable for my application. I would also like to add that using the Flash component ("<object>") for uploading is not feasable also at this time. Using ActiveX does not work also (for some security issues in javascript, it can not access the system information, also ActiveX works only on IE).
I would like to add that I have my application running on Oracle application Server, JSPs for displaying the forms, MultiPart Java API for getting the form input values and files to my servlet and everything is developed in JAVA.
Either by limiting the file size or the limiting the whole request size sent to the servlet.
I'd have thought this would be easy but I've been looking for hours and all I can find is info on getting the viewport size, which is normally useful but not in my situation.
In this case I need the actual browser size, including the scrollbars, toolbars, status bars etc. to get an idea of browsers which aren't maximised/full screen and how big they are, and to calculate the amount of the screen taken up by toolbars etc too.
var obj = {}; with(obj) { var x = 10; } print(x); print(obj.x);
It prints 10 and undefined. Here, one could expect that obj.x get the value 10. But it's not the case, because variable declarations are placed at the start of function code (or global code), so the previous code is equivalent with:
var obj; var x; obj = {}; with(obj) { x = 10; } print(x); print(obj.x);
You can clearly see now that x is placed in the outer context. But consider the next:
var obj = {}; with(obj) { eval("var x = 10;"); } print(x); print(obj.x);
I was expecting that obj.x would get the value 10 here. But no, it gives the same output as the previous code. I tested it with spidermonkey, kjs and ie jscript. Looking at the ECMA spec, I could not find anything that describes that behaviour. Code:
I have a basic 3 image slideshow banner for a website, but it loops and I'd like it to stop on the last banner image instead of start over. Here is the code I have, but I don't know what to do to stop the slideshow once the last image is displayed:
Im having trouble getting my jquery slideshow to work in IE, It works fine in FF and Safari. I tried using "supersleight" which seem to help my transparent pngs and text but the slideshow doesnt even seem to be being read.
I have tried to have the jQuery Slideshow in one of my site, but it is now not working in IE9. It is working fine in all IE Versions till IE8.I have update the JQUERY file with version 1.5.2. SAMPLE DONE can be viewed at Here
I'm using a simple fade slideshow of 5 images on my site's home page. This works fine in everything except IE6 and IE7. In these browsers, all of the images are displayed at the same time one right after another. The slideshow does not cycle...it is static images.
I have placed 2 links below that show the JQuery slideshow that is 99% complete and working great. I also am posting a second link that shows a very similar JQuery slideshow that shows A-Tags working correctly and has instructions to help me add A-Tags.
Problem. The LAST slide in my slideshow has a simple A-Tag with a link to a page in the website. The link seems to show up but the when clicked "Nothing Happens"
Code: <a href="get_organized.php" target="_top"><img src="intro/ocd_logo.jpg" width="930" height="615" /></a> Link to my JQuery Slideshow with the error on the last slide
I have preloaded the images i want to use into an array and want to cycle thruindefinitely each image in the array, and use the each function on the array. The array isvar imgs = [];
I have a div such as this
<div id="mydiv"></div> & with current styling such as this - #mydiv{ background-image: url(myimg.jpg);
[Code]....
only the last image shows up... I am going around the bend ( turning green, red, and face rgb (255,255,255)
I am new at this jquery stuff. In fact, I'm more of a cut and paste kind of gal I have a web page that I incorporated a slideshow. The picture seems to change a bit faster than I'd like, and I can't seem to make the picture go slower than it already is. Can anyone tell me what value I need to change to accomplish this? I changed a couple numbers, but didn't seem to have an affect. Also, is there a way to add a pause and play button so if the fading picture bothers someone, they can pause it?
