Here is the code:
function insRow()
{
var x = document.getElementById('Table1').insertRow(1);
for(i=0;i<4;i++)

I have this form entry <input type="text" onkeypress="return numbersonly(this,event); lessthan100(this);" name="discount_value" id="discount_value" value="" style="width: 40%;" maxlength="3" class="input-symbol-parent"> which calls two javascript functions. The first one works without a hitch... no letters can be entered into the field. However the next function (which at present time, just contains an alert) doesn't fire and I get no alert.I need to check if it's a number first. Below is the number checker.
function iscontrolkey(key) {
if ((key==null) || (key==0) || (key==8) || (key==9) || (key==13) || (key==27) ||
(key==63232) || (key==63233) || (key==63234) || (key==63235) || (key==63272)) return true;
else return false;

I have everything working accept the last part and I don't know what to do.function show() works and shows data entered in text box.function open_win() works,but I only need it to open when there is a input match say like the name Tom,otherwise I want function show() just to show the input.
Currently the new window opens every time the button is pressed needs to match input string only before window opens and then string print to window I think these two lines are the problems(whatever the input) document.getElementById('myDiv').innerHTML = string; And var bselect= "Tom" open_win(); I think I need to set var to the string printed to page to solve the last part. how to I get the blank window to the center of screen,as it covers the data in the function show.
Below is my code thus far :
<html>
<head>
<title>Input</title>
<script>

I am programatically trying to send multiple emails from within javascript code. The problem I am having is as follows:
- In one try - I am using window.location="mailto:"+emailList - this works great if it only needs to generate 1 email, but I am doing it in a loop. when it loops through the 2nd time, it does not create a 2nd email
- In a 2nd try - I am using window.open("mailto:"+emailList - this does open multiple emails, but it also opens multiple windows.
I am trying to find a way to either not have the windows open (only the multiple emails) or automatically close the extra windows. I am including my code below - note - the window.location try is listed, but commented out.
if (emailListArray.length > jsNumEmails) {
var j=1;
for (var i=0; i<emailListArray.length; i++) {
partialEmailList = partialEmailList + ";" + emailListArray[i];
if (j == jsNumEmails) {
//window.location="mailto:"+partialEmailList;
window.open("mailto:"+partialEmailList, "temp", "height=5, width=5, top=0, left=0");
j = 0;
partialEmailList = "";
} //if
j++;
}//for
}
// if anything left in the partial list, then send that separately
if (partialEmailList != "")
{
//window.location="mailto:"+partialEmailList;
window.open("mailto:"+partialEmailList, "temp", "height=5, width=5, top=0, left=0");
}

Let's suppose a user enters his message " My name is John" in a textarea. and he likes to modify by adding <b> tag before the word "John" after he enters "My name is John".
In order to add <b> tag in front of the word "John", he should put his mouse before "John" and enter <b>.
but instead of entering <b>, I like to make the user to click the button "<b>", then <b> is automatically created just before the word "John" in the textarea.
Of course </b> will be needed later, but forget about </b> for simplification.
In short, I like to make the button "<b>" , in order to add <b> tag in front of "John" after entering "My name is John."
