I'm having trouble creating an alert to see the data inside the success function. The code is below and does not create a drop down table, though other things work. I'm trying to look at the returned data in the success function and at the values of the label and value items. The alerts I've tried do not trigger, or create syntax errors. I've been searching for about 3 days on this topic. I'm trying to get a template field inside of an ASP.Net detailsview control inside of an ajax updatepanel to work with the jquery datepicker. Very frustrating! I'm using VB with VS 2010. I can get the datepicker to work fine with a simple text box inside of an update panel but when I put it inside of a detailsview control it stops working.

Does anyone have a library or patch to call a handler if a user leaves an autocomplete field without choosing one of the autocomplete options - i.e. they've entered free text. I'm working with an app that populates multiple fields from a single auto-complete value, and our latest requirement is to clear out a bunch of fields if the user's entered something manually - rejecting autocomplete suggestions. My initial attempts at hooking into onkeyfoo and onblur haven't lead anywhere productive, and I'm hoping someone else has managed to overcome the gnarly event and timing dependencies involved with onkeyfoo and blur being used for standard autocomplete behaviour.

The alert would be a reminder to hit the "Submit for Approval" button if the Quote Estimate is equal to or greater than $50,000. For testing purposes I added another criteria, that the Opportunity name must = Test and Stage must = Proposal/Price Quote.

I want to build an Ajax based autocomplete feature. Being a server side guy, I have little knowledge regarding layers and DHTML stuff. Having already implemented the AJAX part of the app, I am stuck with the layers thing.
The Google Suggest autocomplete is cool. Has anybody written code (free) or adapted Google Suggest kind of thing for their own use (like querying from database and showing results) ? Can you point me to some links or resources on the net.

Somehow, the isLoaded property doesnt seem to be set to true when i
create an instance of the class. I tryied passing the object instance

The problem is that when I press any alphabet say suppose "a", I get all names starting with "a" say amy, admin, anuj etc one below other. Now when I select one of them say 'amy' the text box will display "amy,". Now when I press "a" again then it shows "amy,admin" & "amy,anuj" one below the other. As I want to enter multiple values comma seperated. But I want the ajax to show only "admin" and "anuj" and when I select any one of this, it should append the the value previously present in text box(i.e it should append the value "amy"). It is possible to show the list but when i select the value it does not append the previously present value. It replaces a value..

Now, I am trying to make a javascript that writes a comment field in a certain "span" - comm_'.$i.', where $i starts from 0 - if the check box is already checked (info retrieved from the database) or if the user checks the check box (when the user unchecks the check box the comment field should disappear). The problem is that I am unable to make it work properly (when I check or uncheck a box it doesn't work at all), I mean it only works for the element above, so if box_1 is checked it can only create the comment field in comm_0.

I tried to do a loading bar during the computation of the data of my google map, unfortunately without success for the moment. I use the load function serveral times but never with a google map / javascript, that's probably the problem linked to it. Here is my 2 html pages : 1- dynamicmap.html 2-googlemap.html.
For information, I worked with Django, the googlemap.html works very well when I used this "outside" the dynamicmap.html ... I tried to add the function "initialize()" as argument to load function.
