Here is what I am doing:Someone clicks 'add buyer' link on my pageIn a modal box, I load the form to add a buyer. The form is loaded via ajax and then fills the div containerwhen someone clicks the 'submit' button, it should then look at the value of the fields and post to a scriptCurrently I can't get jQuery to see node within the loaded AJAX.

I have a 'to do' item in a page that has an ID attached to it. These items are stored in a database. When clicked I want to reverse the 'state' of the item (active to complete or complete to active) by updating the database using jquery & PHP.I think I almost have it. As all the values are collected ok and if I change the the page that writes to the database to GET and pass the data through the URL it updates the database fine.[code]

And my problem is when I use 'submit' button for first time on site jQuery seems to not get it and form is being posted as normal HTML form. Every next submition is posted using jQuery until I reload the site.

I am new to Jquery and am having trouble. I want a button on a modal form to open up another modal form but for some reason it isn't happening. The code below is basically the code from the jquery user interface demo, slightly modified. can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? if your kind enough to take a look at my problem make sure you change the src's where the JQuery files are!

This is what I'm attempting at the moment, links is an array. Should this work? I understand that HTML headers cannot contain complex datasets like arrays, so what format is the data sent in? Ie. how do I decompose the array on the PHP end? Or is there a better way entirely of doing this?

I want to read the ID from an anchor tag and then insert it into the parent paragraph tag.This is to be repeated for all paragraphs on the page that contain anchor tags. The script is intended to run on page load.I developed the following script but it doesn't work.I got the process to work for a single paragraph but once I modifiedthe script to attempt to loop it failed.I've looked around for examples to use as learning but can't anything that matches my needs.

On my page I have a jQuery modal dialog. It contains a checkbox associated with a product being shown in the dialog. Checking the checkbox is supposed to post the product's title to the server (using $.post). During my tests, I opened the dialog for different products, checked the checkbox and quickly pressed Esc key to close the dialog and move on to another product. What I've noticed is that if current product title to be posted is different from one sent just prior to it, things get posted quickly and without a loss. However, if I am sending the same data as what was sent with a previous request, this data doesn't make it to the server if I do this quickly -- I consistently lose data. But if I allow a couple of seconds to pass before pressing Esc key, the data (duplicate data) gets delivered fine.This happens only in Firefox (I've tried this in v. 3.6). IE 8 and Chrome 4.0.249.89 beta (38071) (it was supposed to be 5.x, though) behave as expected -- post data without delay or concern with duplicate data.

I am posting two variables to a php page:

currentSlide is set to 0. vote is set to 2. When I look at my console log, these are true. But in poll_receiveData.php, I'm unable to use a conditional statement with $vote. It's like the program doesn't know how to compare things to $vote. But a SQL statement using $question works just fine. Here's my code:

It's my first post/thread here, I haven't been active in forums for some time cause frankly I didn't need it, but this one just got me. I tried everything in my knowledge -and I mean everything, I'm a fanatic trial-and-error tester. Situation: jQuery, posts some data through Ajax collected primarily from a $('#textarea') to a php file on server. If the data is >X Bytes, I get 404 Not Found and the 404 Html page in Ajax error handler. Otherwise, everything runs smoothly and I get my results. I must specify that I post to a php file that loads Wordpress's wp-blog-header.php before doing calculations, as the code is intended to be part of a WPplugin.
I tried to return header("HTTP/1.1 200 OK") as some suggested, considering WP was altering the header for not finding the file as part of the system, and it solved the issue locally for some cases, but not remotly.
I tried to set the Content-Length in ajax call. I switched between the WP type of handling Ajax calls, and having my own .php file, in the folder of my plugin. Nothing worked, but trimming content. What could this be? post_data_size is 8M on server. Could this be maybe related to SSL as I've seen in some cases?

There are so many plugins for modal dialogs that I don't know which one should I use and/or which one is the best... I mean, if there was only one plugin of this type including all the features from all the modal plugins, that would be cool. Which one do you think it's the best and why? Care to state the pros and cons of each plugin (or the ones you know/have already tested)?

I am stuck with an issue of getting my modal to pop up and out of theiframe and show on top of the parent page. I am using the jqModal andyou seem to have answers for everything but this...I have a parent page, that i can not edit, with an iframe thatcontains the logic for the modal. When the the modal is triggered, itonly shows inside of the iframe and i cant seem to get it to pop upover the parent window.This is the ultimate objective:OnLoad of the parent page, if something=true to pop up the modal fromwithin the iframe to show over the parent.I can get it to do everything that i need it to do BUT pop up outsideof the iframe....idk... i think i am just running in circles at thispoint....SO here is the simplified code that is nested inside of the parentiframe.... it loads the modal onLoad of the page, but its inside the

I was wondering - Is it possible to display a modal window (Preferably one which can display HTML and not just images) when a user hovers over a link, as opposed to a mouse click?
What I would essentially like to do is create a "menu" button/link which when hovered over would bring up a full page modal window with clickable content inside of it.
I've been browsing the 'net for a solution/example but the only one i've found so far is made in Flash. For an example of what i'm trying to achieve, take a look at [url] (Flash based site)

I am looking to use the jqueryui checkbox buttons and I am having a problem with checkbox selection.
In an ajax tab page I can set checkboxes to checked or unchecked and the behaviour is correct.
I have a php script in a modal dialog outputting from a db setting previously selected fields to 'checked' (much as you would normally). This results in the label converting to a button alongside the normal checkbox, rather than the button and hidden checkboxes.
If the modal is populated from a separate script, does this need to load the jquery stuff separately to the main window?

I have used jquery modal window JS for creating Modal box. By clicking respective link modal Box opens in all the browser. But in Ie6 that behaves differently. In My webpage I have some Form controls, like( Input field, checkbox, Dropdownlist etc.) When I click the mentioned hyperlink the modal box opens in ie6 correctly but the Form controls operlaps the Modal box. Please check the attached screen. How to fix such issue for IE6.

I have written a web page to create XML from user input. The user inputs a series of values, and these are turned into XML using javascript. The way I have done this is to load in a template XML file using an XMLHTTPrequest and append childNodes to it as required. Thus, what I end up with is a variable called "xmldoc" which is an XML document object. (If I do write(xmldoc) the answer I get is [object XMLDocument].)What I would like to do is to be able to save the thing as an xml file. To this end I have been trying to POST it to a php file that might do this, but to no avail; the php file does not seem to recognise it as an XML DOM object.

How would I disable the 'Do Something Else' button within the JQuery Modal Window based on a boolean value. Say my boolean is IsButtonDisabled, how would I then use this with the buttons section below. IsButtonDisabled would be set to either true or false before the following code executed but the code would be executed several times in a session and each time IsButtonDisabled could be different.

I have a table with edit and delete buttons on each row, I have managed to get modal dialogs working with the following code, the links that invoke the dialog each have a unique ID like so:
