I would like to open an overlay DIV onclick or onload, much like thickbox or shadowbox does. Here's the hard part - I would like to have it animate and shrink it to the top right corner of the page when the popup is closed. The reason for this is so that the user will know how to get that popup window back open. The popup will animate and minimize to the top right of the page, where the button to re-open the popup (ie. overlay) will be located.
[url]- I would like the "current issue" graphic to be clickable and open the "subscribe" popup with an animation to zoom it from 0 to full size and center it on the page.
As per the rather long subject, I would like to (well, my boss would like me to...) on a popup have one button to close and another to close but then redirect to another page.
I want to adjust the layout of the default lazy susan animation for this plugin. There are 5 slides. How would I need to adjust the JavaScript so that there are always 2 slides on the left and two slides on the right of the main slide that happens to be in focus? The shapes plugin offers a figure 8 shape that does this, but the animation style is not what the client wants.
Here's the URL with the working code. I've adjusted line 88 in the JS file, and it sort of gets me there: Code: var period = jQuery.roundabout_toFloat(180.0/ref.children(options.childSelector).length) //this is the original line var period = jQuery.roundabout_toFloat(360.0/ref.children(options.childSelector).length);
I'm new to jQuery..so maybe a newbe question. I'm working on a search result dropdownbox. So user enters text in textfield->ajax gets results->displays it in box under textbox. i use folowing code to remove resultbox when user clicks somewhere on page.
[Code]...
This is all working fine, But now i added next page in the result box. As soon as this is clicked , the resultbox is fadeout..because of above code. Can i make it fadeout on a click anywhere except in the textbox or result box ??
Originally, I was using a dropdown list created in php to show about 150 image choices, when selected it would send the selected image to my image-switcher.php and change the displayed image. The problem was, with so many images and only a name to look at, it was frustrating my users.[code]...
I reworked the php to display thumbnails hrefed to the image-switcher. What I don't know how to do is have the fancybox popup close when a user either selects an image or hits x, right now they have to x-out after picking their image. Is there a trick to this, I thought the hideoncontentclick would do it?
For panning and fading some pictures I use the jquery plugin crossslide. As you see at my example I have problems with the animation, because it stutters and shakes a lot: Personal Crossslide Example Do you know other plugins, which can create this effect?
I've used the jQuery Timers plugin [URL] to animate through my client's "five steps" on this page: [URL] but is there a way to get it to continuously loop through the animation? The documentation page [URL] doesn't seem to cover anything like that.
a) preload all img's and background's on a given page
b) display an animated gif in the center of the original's img's or background's container
c) fade out showing each image once it's downloaded
d) as a consequence of (a) allow the page to render (show) quicker even if (depending on server speed, connection speed and user computer speed) the remaining images are still in a 'load state'.
e) is based on JQuery so not to increase page's footprint via adding Mootools, Prototype, YUI or the like (unless the additional 100KB or so is so worth it).
I've scouted Google and there a few out there but amazingly none seem to focus on doing this for a web page's image's but rather seem to focus on galleries/lightbox windows and so forth.
I'm using the most basic functionality of the Fancybox plugin. All renders fine in FF 3.5.9 & Chrome 4. Wouldn't you know it, IE 7 has a problem, it does not display the close box and doesn't honor the location of the title. You can see the problem here: [URL] Click the Players tab and then click any thumbnail.
Safari 4.0.5 and FF 3.6.3 have this problem IE and Chrome are ok The first time when i click the link, two instances of close button shows. If during the same load, i click on another item, the previous clue tip hides and the new one shows with only one close button (right behavior). Image attached. Property closePosition "top and bottom" both have this behavior. closePosition value "title" only shows one close button but it is not clickable.
I would like to know which plugin can help me achieve an animation of frames like the one seen on [URL]where you can click and drag the ipad to see it's cover functionality). I don't need the click and drag, just the animation, as I would set it on an auto animation.
I'm using a script to make an overlaying popup window appear.It works great but you can't close it.Can anyone help me with how to add a something to make the window close? I have a little graphic of an "x" that I want to be able to click on and close the overlay window.
I have just added a jQuery fade plugin onto a page to automatically cycle through images in an unordered list without a click event. It works well but when I preview the page with JS disabled all images become visible and it messes up the layout. What I need is a method that works when JS is disabled. I have seen methods where the {display:none} CSS styles are applied then changed via JS but can't figure this out. If anyone can either recommend a decent plugin with provisions for JS disabled browsers
I wrote an ASP-page which allows friends to upload a datafile which will be processed and stored in a database. Because large files take some time to process I want to open a popup 'Please wait, processing' with some fancy graphics. So, onSubmit -> check form and open popup if correct. When data is written into the database (and summary page has finished loading) I want to close the popup.... although I named it winDialog (winDialog = window.open(...)) the new page tells me it can't find this popup ( if (window.winDialog) { winDialog.close() } ). Can anyone tell me what's wrong? Maybe I'm doing things wrong. Or could you perhaps put me in a right direction...
I have a popup window that opens from a page on my website. This popup is a form with several fields. Upon submit button it redirects to a server side ASP page which writes all data to the DB.
I would like the popup to close immediately after the submit button is clicked, and data is saved, (or cancel button) - but this does not happen. The popup window remains open, even though I have a "return false;" after window.open in the onclick event.
What am I missing?
<a href="myurl.asp" 'title','toolbar=no,width=700,height=600'); return false;">post a note</a>;
I am currently having problems with Popup windows in an application I am writing. I have a page, which opens a Popup window to a Perl Script on another server.
Because of this, I cant access the Parent's DOM to execute a function on the main page from the popup. I need to execute a script in the Main window once the popup window has finished its process.
I have tried setting a loop that checks if the popup is still open, which should work in principle.... however it hangs both Browser Windows.
I have this script which I found bits-and-pieces and put together to display and close the popup. The problem is I couldn't figure out a way to close the popup by clicking anywhere on a page. I can close by clicking on the link but that's not what i want. I want to be able to click anywhere on a page to close the popup.
I open an popup to create something and after I press Submit button I want to close popup immediately. I saw many page do that but can not find their solution.
