I'm making a call to a server which returns an html table. I want to modify the caption in the table before adding it to the document. There seem to be several ways to select the caption element, but I can't see how to modify it [code]...
I want to load an html div in a variable, modify it in another variable; and then change the document injecting the contents.
1. I load the html to be changed in a variable (code) 2. I modify an attribute of <param> using attr() and I put the result in a var (newcode) 3. I change the html in the doc
I've used the debugger, and all steps give the expected results, except of newcode.html(), which is a null string. Why?
I'm trying to build a table that has hidden rows below certain shown rows.
How would I modify this script so that it shows all of the hidden rows below a row, but not the hidden rows throughout the entire table?
$ ( document )
[Code].....
You can see the HTML table structure here, as well as it working with only 1 row. URL] I was able to get all the hidden rows throughout the entire table to show, but that's not what i'm looking for. I just want the hidden rows that are below their respective shown table rows.
We have a need to modify the actual css style definitions dynamically.We can successfully modify css class styles via the following steps. It seems to work fine in ie and firefox.
Does anyone know of a reason it might cause problems?[code]...
As title: $.readyList is not exposed after 1.4. but it is very useful for our projects. we save this list and call all method in it after doing some ajax operations.
assist with how to modify a specific css value of an object? For example, I want to do over all children of "body", and see if they have any css attributes containing a url(xxxxx) part. If so, I would like to make some change to that url (replace it with something else).
This post is about the jquery validation plugin. I am using the url() method to validate text fields for valid url input. It works fine, but I want a slight modification where I am checking whether a base directory has been added and not some individual page. For example, not [URL] but [URL]. Any way I can modify that url method to satisfy my needs?
Whenever execute the following code, the URL that is formed has "?" before my name and an "=" before my value (so the URL would be "[URL]"). I need the URL formatted so that a "+" is in front of the name and a ":" (colon) to be before the value (i.e. formatted like "[URL]"). Is there a way to change this behavior? $.ajax({ url: lansaUrl('proc', 'func'), global: true, cache: false, type: "GET", data: ({"acct": object.value}), dataType: "json", success: function(result){ $("p#customerInfo").innerHTML += " "+result; }, error: function(xhr, desc, exceptionobj) { alert(xhr.responseText); }});

I'm receiving html into a variable from an external source and I'm trying to modify the id of one of the inputs within the html but when I change it, the original html isn't getting updated. an example of what I'm trying to do is :
var sTemp = "<div><input type='hidden' name='test' id='test' /></div>"; $("#test", sTemp).attr("id","newid"); after changing the attribute, sTemp still contains the original code
It is a "content slider" that rotates content "slides". It is setup to auto rotate on a set time, and you can also hit the previous/next buttons to move through the slides. This has been working great. Now I have the need for a pause button that will stop the auto rotate. I think this should be fairly easy for someone familiar with javascript and jQuery.
I want to modify a local variable of the ready function set like so: $(function () { var modifyme = 0; ... }); I cant change the code setting the ready function, as I am writing only a greasemonkey userscript. I already tried using the .data("events") method, but it never listed the "ready" event. Any function so I can modify the variable!
I don't know how to write jquery scripts, but I can modify a little. I have a script I want to use, but I want to duplicate this script several times on a page. I know it has something to do with assigning classes, but I can't figure it out. I put a new instance in a div, I want to do this several times on the page, the class is thumbs, but I guess I have to have a different class for each instance, becauseon the 2nd instance (div) when I click on the thumbnail, is effects theimage in the first instance (div). I need to have each instance work indepently in each div.
[URL] that is the code in all its basic form (just stripped out other html). I am trying to modify the form actions of the 3 forms when i click on the tabs at the top of the page. but only the action of the delete form (id=form-horse-delete) gets modified. the other 2 forms do not change. i am not sure what the problem is. in IE8, if i have the jquery modifying the action of the 2 forms (add/delete), it gives a JS error. if i take out the add/delete in jquery, there is no JS error.
At any rate, I am wanting to mod this jquery smooth scroll to anchor so that it fades in once in position. Farthest I've gotten has been that some how within the procedure, "onAfter().fadein" should be added. Nothing in that vain has worked. You can view the page I am working on here: [URL]

What I have currently can be seen here:hat I want can be seen here (demo):Problem: On the demo page above he lists the code but it's the 1.1 version, and I have the 1.3, and much has changed; i.e. his code doesn't work. Dynamically creating and assigning elements to a dialog, but I am unable to modify the elements after the window opens. I know that I can see them and they are being correctly assigned because I can look at them with firebug.I was thinking that one source of the problem may be the badly formed html that I am getting out. shouldn't each input tag end with " />"?
I want to dynamic modify the hidden value,for example i=3 //the value of i is get dynamic,i=2 or i=3 or any number test.test<i>.value="99" I know above sentence is error,how to write it correctly?
