I develop a website that relies on the Taconite plugin: Jquery Taconite Site The website works in all major browsers IE 6 - 8, Firefox, Chrome and safari. I am using JQuery 1.5.1 and Taconite 3.57 which are both the latest stable releases. As IE9 has now been offically released I decided to test the website within that browser however some elements of taconite seem to break. I am using the taconite plugin and am running into a strange issue. I use taconite to call several processes after each other (php) and update messages in the page, as such it is running fine. I have one big issue, if I open one database table too many in one of the calls, taconite receives the xml but does not update the page. I'm trying to add scrolling buttons that scroll the page onmousover. They work great, however, since the duration is a fixed value, and the distance changes based on how far the user scrolls, it sometimes scrolls fine (when the distance and duration are proportioned), and very slow (when the duration is way higher than the distance)...
Is there any way to change the duration based on the distance?
To make some sort of "speed" setting, instead of a constant duration?

it is possible to display the duration a webpage is accesssed. For example, if its a form webpage, then the time to be displayed will be = time the webpage was left (press submit button etc. or the time the viewer left the page) - time the webpage was first accessed or loaded.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a slideshow plugin and there is a function in it called stopAutoplay(). This is called when I click on the pre-defined pause button in the slideshow, so it stops.
If I switch between the slideshows(Slideshow 1 2 3) the slideshow is getting messier and messier because it starts many slideshows at the same time and the plugin gets confused what to show.
I figured if I click on the pause button before I switch to another slideshow it works fine. Therefore what I would like to achieve now is to call stopAutoplay() somehow before I switch to the new slides.
How can I call stopAutoplay() from the html file when I click on one of the slideshow 1 2 3 buttons?
I've tried the codes in green below but they don't work.

I am creating an extension plugin to the jQuery UI Date Picker plugin mostly to just standardize the options used, as well as to add an icon to open the calendar. I am aware of the plugin's use of an icon trigger, but this will not work, as I am using an icon in my sprite image and not wanting an additional request for a mere icon.

The way the tutorial I used has you set it up is you use divs for each link so it scrolls to the next div. My problem is that I have 3 different pages that my navigation needs to scroll to so I have no idea how to make those into divs?
The way the tutorial has it the links are actually divs but I have changed it to attempt to make it work but it doesnt........
