Using the search box in plugins to find a file uploader. File, upload, uploader, file upload, file uploader all return zero results. This seems a bit weird, what else can you call the thing? Are there really no uploaders in the repository?
I'm trying to get the full path of a file with a file uploader form with FF. I see HTML5 permits this but I cannot find any concrete examples to access this value from a normal html file uploader form.
I've been trying to find a goof file upload script for a while. No luck really.I operate an internet radio station, and frequently artists want to send me music for airplay consideration. I've been struggling along giving them FTP login information and letting them send files using FileZilla or the like. You can probably imagine all the questions about how to do it I get!I'd really like to find an upload script to plug into my suite that would provide the capabilities found at MySpace or just about any photo site like Photobucket, that allow you to select multiple files from the local machine and have them uploaded to some folder on the web server. A progress bar would be nice, and the ability to select a folder rather than just selecting many individual files would be a plus. Nice Ajaxy interface gymnastics are desirable, too.
I have a site which requires the user to upload multiple images at once. Using jQuery I have set it up so that the user can select individuals individually (using the file browser) and then upload them all at the same time bty clicking 'Upload'. However, this is not really good enough...
What I need to happen is that when the user browses their machine to select their images, they are able to select multiple images through CTRL+click. At the minute they can only select one image at a time.
As I already have the upload process working perfectly, I would prefer that I was able to keep this intact and simply add some javascript which allowed multiple images to be selected by the file browser at the same time. I would also prefer, if possible, not to use flash.
I have a slideshow plugin and there is a function in it called stopAutoplay(). This is called when I click on the pre-defined pause button in the slideshow, so it stops.
If I switch between the slideshows(Slideshow 1 2 3) the slideshow is getting messier and messier because it starts many slideshows at the same time and the plugin gets confused what to show.
I figured if I click on the pause button before I switch to another slideshow it works fine. Therefore what I would like to achieve now is to call stopAutoplay() somehow before I switch to the new slides.
How can I call stopAutoplay() from the html file when I click on one of the slideshow 1 2 3 buttons?
I've tried the codes in green below but they don't work.
If there is a better solution let's say to kill everything before the new slideshow appears it's even better. Although I've tried die(), empty(), detach(), remove(). I hoped remove() would help cause as I read it's suppsed to remove everything but for some reasons it doesn't...
I have a problem with the latest version of the jQuery Form Plugin (2.80). To be more precise, I guess I am doing something wrong, and with an older version (2.67) somehow it didn't matter.With the old version, the file was uploaded without problems. Now Firefox opens a new Tab on clicking the submit button and nothing is done. Chrome doesn't open a new tab, but also nothing happens. In Wireshark I can see that there is no file attached in the POST message with the older version, the file was sent.My first guess was that my file handling on the server side is erroneous - but on the other hand, when there is no file attached, what should I handle there?
I found this plugin is helpful,but has issue with ie 7,works in firefox What I want is that prepend and slide down effect,but there must be a table wrap the text. Here is my code
I have various images on a page. I want to edit an image. So, I should click on the image and a lightbox should appear asking me for a new image files to upload. I select an image and click upload. It uploads the file and then the lightbox closes and the original image on the page gets replaced by the new one.
I can create a lightbox(overlay) and call a php page on it to upload the image. But, then I don't know how to pass that back to the original page and update the image there through AJAX call.
I'm loading a (HTML) list from mySql via PHP into a main page using load. The main page is linked to a css file and a js file (jquery). The loaded data assigns the css file BUT does not seem to be able to find the js file as the click handlers in that file do not work. I'm new at this and this is probably a BASIC issue.
I'd like to find certain keywords in the text of an html page and give it an underline and the ability to show a tooltip when hovered. When I try to use .text() on the top-level element, it just spits everything out, including javascript, etc. How can I go through line-by-line and do a word comparison with the keyword I'd like highlighted? I'm thinking of basically doing: $(#toplevel).each(function () { if ($(this).text() == 'keyword') $(this).contents().filter(return this.nodeType == 3).wrap('<a></a>'); If that makes any sense.
We have site that has autolinking of keywords (~150), each going to a specific page in the site. On a forum page with 300+ posts (all on one page) the php script takes too long and errors with max execution time exceeded. (the owner want it all on one page, and there are also anchor links somewhere else directly to the posts)
Now I have tested jQuery with viewport plugin to see if I can only autolink the table-rows that are visible in the screen only. (if I run the function on the whole page the script becomes unresponsive) It works fine on page load, but when I run it in a loop to update every 5 sec the already matched keywords just disappear! I have tried the scrollstop plugin as well, but made the scroll unresponsive
var map = { 'test':'/test/test.php?id=2','test':'/test/test.php?id=2'}//these are in prod about 150 key-value pairs (function( $ ){ $.fn.autolink = function (theProfName,theProfUrl) {
I noticed the javascript in my html is growing quite big. I know the normal way to use a plugin is to include jquery-->include plugin .js file--> then put something like below to my html file. I'm a totalbeginnerto javascript. is there a way to put whatever javascript into adesperate.js file? I'm using several jquery plugins, and this bit of javascript doesn't look very tidy andmanageableme anymore.[code]
I want to add an input box with a button next to it that, when you paste a link to an image in the input box and press the button it uploads or shows the image in the section below.
I want you to make it using the get element by ID functions and the append child functions and all that.
I'm having an issue in Internet Explorer to where the javascript i'm using isn't working now. In firefox it works great!
Code:
<script src="::URL::/jscript/php.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script language="Javascript"> function gup( name ) { name = name.replace(/[[]/,"\[").replace(/[]]/,"\]");
I want to validate an imdb URL and an keywords field who contain minimum 3 words separated by comma. This script valdate any url, but I want to validate url like this: [uRL] var urlRegex = /http://[A-Za-z0-9.-]{3,}.[A-Za-z]{3}/; if(url == "") { inlineMsg('url','<strong>Error</strong><br />You must enter an URL.',2); return false; } if(!url.match(urlRegex)) { inlineMsg('url','<strong>Error</strong><br />You have entered an invalid url.',2); return false; }
I am trying to implement this jQuery form plugin to do ajax file uploads. Although the documentation is great I am still a little unclear about one thing. Usually when I do ajax submissions I return a response in JSON(using PHP), something like :
When doing some simple tests I have run into a problem and I believe it is due to the way this plugin handles JSON responses. My form :
[Code]...
This does not result in the success event firing but rather the error event. In the plugin documentation it states that it does not handle json responses well and that it recommends wrapping the response in a textarea. Unfortunatly I'm not sure what they mean by that, and what I've tried so far has not worked. ould anyone give me some advice as to how to output the response in JSON properly? Could anyone that has used this plugin for AJAX file uploads offer any advice on doing so?
With my current javascipt code I have successfully implemented jQuery Form Plugin with my own page. It hooks forms and submits them, and upon either failure or success the proper function is fired (success and error options of ajaxForm) and the XML is handled.
However, whenever I add a <input type="file"> my code fails to determine wether or not an error occured, since the HTTP code of the request seems to be set to 0, and thereby somehow being treated as "success" event, which it clearly isn't, as the PHP returning the XML sends a HTTP 400. (Firebug confirms this.)
Simply put, why does the file upload cause a 100% "success"-rate with HTTP status 0 where it shouldn't, and how could I work around this if required?
