I'm trying to pass a new dynamic value (5 or 11 or 3 or n) that change the classes
('.toggle') and ('a.slidetoggle')
in
('.toggle5') and ('a.slidetoggle5')
('.toggle11') and ('a.slidetoggle11')
('.togglevalue
') and ('a.slidetogglevalue
')
I can insert my variable into the "class":
<a href='#' class='slidetoggle<?=$value;?>
' id='name'>name</a>";
<a href='#' class='toggle<?=$value;?>
' id='name'>name</a>";
Or in the "name" in this way:
<a href='#' class='slidetoggle' name='<?=$value;?>
' id='name'>name</a>";
<a href='#' class='toggle'
name='<?=$value;?>
' id='name'>name</a>";
I got a problem with passing dynamic DIV ID. I was doing some a php page which retrieved data from database and put into according DIV tag like this:
<DIV id="variabl1">msg1</td>; Since there were tens of records in the table in database, the result would become: <DIV id="variabl1">msg1</td>; <DIV id="variabl2">msg2</td>; <DIV id="variabl100">msg100</td>;
I got a JQuery script to show a specific message when a user moved his mouse over a DIV, say if he moved his mouse over DIV ID 1, a msg would pop up showing message.
I'm using some server side code to create a list of employees dynamically. In the HTML I have an "X" icon which will allow the admin to delete the user.I want to use the dialog box as a way to confirm or cancel the delete. If the user clicks the "X" icon I will run my server side code via $.ajax or something to remove the user.The only struggle I'm having is how to pass the row/id to the dialog box so the correct row is deleted from the database.
I have a bit of php that creates an entry on a page for each row in a table, some pages may have multiple entries, others just one.
eg.
<h2 class="title">{title}</h2> {summary} <p onclick="openBox({entry_id})">Click to read more ></p> <div id="{entry_id}" style="display:hidden;">{body}</div>
I would like to have just one function to open and close all individually, eg.
$(document).ready(function(){ function openBox(id){ if ($("#id:first").is(":hidden")) {
[Code].....
Well I know I'm doing something wrong as this is not working, and I don't know how better to explain I hope this is sufficient, I'm not worrried about the php/html bit as that is working fine.
I am using a slide show to display all images associated with a product output by SQL in a very simple shopping cart. The problem is I can't think of a way to assign the div a unique class/id used to group the images into multiple slide shows as well as for use with the pager associated with each. My code now places all images (regardless of which product they are associated with) into the same slide show, and I understand why, I just don't know how to alter the jquery to dynamically assign then call them.I could easily fix this if the I was hard coding each product and the photos.Anyone know how to achieve this?
I'm using some jquery in a website I'm building. Here's what I'm trying to do on one of the pages: I've got a span with some text and a button in it. When the button is clicked, it fires up a jquery click function for its class that is supposed to insert a textbox into it and take the text and put it in the textbox. The class of the button is also changed from "editButton" to "finishButton" so that the other click function fires, which is going to call a webmethod to update whatever the user entered in the database.
But, the function for the editButton class gets executed when it's clicked the next time instead. I know that the class of the button has changed because the css styles for the finishButton class are in effect. I also tried removing the clicked button and creating a new one dynamically, but that one does nothing at all; it doesn't go to either click function. The stuff in the .finishButton function is only there just so I can test whether or not that function actually runs. Whether it works or not, it shouldn't matter... I'm using Firebug so if I put a break point in there, it should hit it either way, right? And this is in an aspx page if that matters at all.
I have a dynamic jCarousel which pulls in JSON data from php, and prints out the list html. What I'm trying to do is set the carousel start item as a variable, which would find the item with the class ".active", and start with that item. The problem is that since the data is dynamic when it looks for the start item, the list hasn't yet been rendered, therefore doesn't find any class or list data. The code below works with a static list, but not dynamic. I think my options are (a) wait for carousel to load, then somehow set the "start" item after, or (b) after list loads auto-scroll to the item with class ".active".
Here's the code i'm working with for the dyamic list: ------------------------------ <script language="javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { /* create an image slideshow from a JSON array using jcarousel */
i'm using URL... to load and preview music on my page.It all works really well, when you write pure static html code with just [code]And it will automaticly transform that url into a working custom-player. Done with the soundcloud api.But when i use $.getJSON and dynamicly get down a list of urls that i try to insert with:[code]*side-note(it's the same result with $('#addbtn').click, just wanted to try live as i hoped it would update the elements upon being added. But did not work out.)The url gets inserted into sc-player class div, but the rest never gets transformed into the custom-player with the sc-player.js script.It just remains an ordinary a href. It is as if the sc-player.js never is being "loaded" which i can understand why it won't. Question is how do i get it to successfully transform my urls that are being dynamicly added with javascript into the custom-player instead of just the url to the song?
There's a feature I want to implement, but don't really know how to code. The intention is to use jQuery to convert words with a certain class attribute into Wikipedia links.
An example to make things clearer:
PLAIN TEXT: There is a <span class="wiki">penguin</span> there.
EXPECTED RESULT: There is a <a href [url] there.
Hence the code would have to grab the string of words inside the tag and place them inside a href with the first part of the link already attached to it. Doesn't seem too complicated, but I wasn't able to do it.
I have been trying to use the code below (created by Patrick Haney and improved by enraged) as a basis, but no deal. This code subistitutes words for code, but it searches for specific words.
If anybody knows a script like that, modify the code below,
I am trying to access a dynamic asp variable with onclick either in a javascript function where I can use it globally or set another div id with this dynamic variable.

I'm trying to pass multiple dynamic values between a slaveform and a masterform. The problem I'm having is on the slaveform I loop through multiple records and want two values depending on the row they select....
My code: [URL]... When I click on UpraviƄ in class edit I need add some HTML code to begin and to end of class entry how to I can select class entry in the same class post on which I clicked?
I have a huge blob of code but the main part I am focusing on is this
$('.billboard_click').click(function () { //this remove class $(".billboard_click").removeClass("billboard_click"); });
1. Execute a click event when the div with the class 'billboard_click' is clicked
2. Once clicked, remove the class from that very div to avoid another click from happening
3. Execute a series of events such as animations, etc
4. add the class back to the clicker div
The code does not seem to work as expected but I am wondering if I am having issues elsewhere at this point and wonder if this actually is known to work
I am new to this discussion but hope you would post reply for my query and encourage me to keep in touch with this discussion. Well here is my problem. I have made an edit in place form in which we can add and remove the elements. I have used jquery.jeditable.mini.js and jquery.duplicate-remove.js plugins for edit in place and add and remove action. I have live() function to access the dynamically ganerated elements like this. $(".addressDiv span").live("mouseover", function(){ clickable function here...
I am adding a CSS class to a DIV as follows:$div.addClass("Hover");But I would like the class to be added only if the DIV does not have a class named "Disabled".
I have this filter in a results table that also reflect in a ui datepicker day styling (ex:available unavailable) . Everything fine till i change month or year in datepicker . Maybe i have to use live() or livequery() but can see the way .This is the code:
$("#filterSelect").change(function(){ var filtro=$("#filterSelect").val(); $("#filter-box2").val(filtro);
I'm trying to figure out which selector is faster (assuming that the class 'foo' only appears on input tags)...
$('.foo'); or $('input.foo');
From what I've seen online, it seems that people recommend $('input.foo'), but in some limited testing it appears that $('.foo') is much faster in both FF and Chrome. In IE, both methods seem to produce similar results. Here is a fiddle with a simple example...
[URL]
Have browsers started implementing native ways to find all elements with a given class name? Would that explain why $('.foo') seems to be faster?
how to populate a dropdown based on Another dropdown selection. This all should be a dynamic. Eg: I have two text boxes one is TechID and other is JOB ID. When I start typing Tech ID it suggests me the list of IDs which start with the input string i have put in Tech textbox. When i select the Tech ID the jobs associated to that Tech ID should be displayed in JOB ID text box as a dropdown list.
[URL] The above webpage lists the selector .class.class without an example. I can't find this usage in jQuery document either. I made the following example, but it doesn't work. Could anybody let me know who to use the .class.class selector?
I am attempting to make a menu that has a background image that changeswhen you rollover or click a menuitem. I've got the hover effect working fine with CSS, but am trying to implement the click event via jquery with the following:
My process is to reset the entire menu to the inactive state, then switch on the active state for the item that was clicked. Eventually, the item that was clicked will display its corresponding body section as well. I've tried using the CSS pseudo-class "active", but since the entire div is the link, that is unavailable. I've also tried multiple variations of addClass/removeClass, toggleClass, and setAttribute/removeAttributebut nothing hasworked so far.
