Looking at jQuery to replace my zoo of scripts, but can it do this? I want a movable dialog with position remembering in a cookie. Searched all over Google but found no demos that actually worked. Will be happy to click a link to a sample page, if I see it work I can figure it out.
View 3 RepliesI'm having some issues using the cookie persistence, it appears that as long as the link is in the jsp directory the menu renders properly, however if the link is not in the jsp directory the cookie is set to null and when the page loads all of the trees are expanded.
Here is the abridged version of the file that I'm using, this is included on all pages of my application.

What I need the site to do is remember the position and scale of the items so that when visitors return to the site the items are where they left them.
I believe it is possible to store this information in a cookie, however I have no idea how to do that or make it work.
Have a web app which consists of a form and have it set up to launch a dialog box containing information next to the subject label text field.Everytime, someone fills out the form and clicks on submit, the form's message body (from the text area of the form) is displayed on top and theform is displayed underneath it. Before, I had it set up as fixed (x,y) for the dialog box to appear next to the subject label. But, now, whenthe page becomes longer, the dialog box doesn't appear next to my subject label text field. It is displayed a lot lower.

How can I set it so my findPosition() calculation doesn't miscalculate when the page is too long (when scroll bars are needed)?
Is there a way to set the relative positioning to always have the dialog appear 40px right of the subject label?
I am using jQuery (wdCalendar) Scheduler Calendar in my Website. I want to show Popup moduler of Add/Edit Event Form at the right top position of the window. But There is no functionality to change position of popupdialog.

I found this script online that lets users on an iPhone drag boxes around the screen. The problem is that when you reload the page, the boxes are in different positions than what they were before the reload. Like, you would drag the boxes around and then reload the page, but the boxes would be in the default locations. I want the boxes to stay in the same spot that they were the previous time they moved them. Does that make sense? I used the jquery modal dialog from the[url].... that is currently draggable from the title only. is there any way i can make
that draggable by inserting a div at the footer of the dialog or make it draggable from everywhere in the dialog.
Is it possible to have the jquery ui dialog close when clicking outside the area of the dialog? Like facebox?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get a dialog box to open another dialog box. Clicking on "more search options" the first time results in opening a dialog box. Clicking "search" within the dialog box results in opening up a second dialog box. But this only works the first time I click on "more search options". In other words, the second dialog box only opens up only once. To get the second dialog to open again, I have to reload the page in the browser.

I previously tested a click function and was able to confirm I was getting the correct position back, so now I just need to set the CSS property correctly for all of those links.The reason I want to do this is I have a set of links that appear over a photo of a city skyline. I basicly know how to do everything except affect & Use the cookies. So what I need to do with them is to
#1.) Have a code to change the cookie number, say... on the click of a button.
#2.) Have a code where it only displays certain text if the cookie is a certain number.

I have an embedded system with a web interface. One of the web pages
has a small JavaScript program that, when run on IE6, always displays
the message that cookies need to be enabled:

This problem only occurs with IE6, not Mozilla. It also only happens
on some of the embedded systems, but this problem exists for everyone
running IE6.
The problem isn't limited to the Javascript code, either. On another
web page from this embedded system, a cookie is set the normal way,
via the HTTP header. This cookie is also rejected.
When I display any page that attempts to set a cookie, IE6 displays
the blocked icon and says that cookies on that URL are blocked.
However, I have set all privacy and cookie options to their most
permissive. I've spent the past hour changing every option I can find
that's even remotely related to cookies and privacy, and nothing
changes. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
In my web application we are able to store large data in the browser
cookie keeping in mind the limit of 300 cookies per cookie file, 20
keys per cookie per domain and 4KB max size of each cookie. We are
unable to retreive this large amount of data immediately after storing
through document.cookie in IE browser (The same works fine in
Netscape).
Is there any limit on the size of the data that can be retreived using
document.cookie in IE browser? Could you please suggest a solution to
this problem I am facing.

I am seeing a weird issue where the dialog opacity does not work with IE8 browsers controlled by settings under a Windows Group policy. I can run IE8 from my house and the dialog opacity works fine. Does anyone know what Group Policy setting might turn off opacity in IE8?
