We are getting a line of junk characters at the end of a page when we invoke a DatePicker call. I have two problems that I suspect will be bread-and-butter problems for the
more experienced guys on here, but I'm not the greatest with js.
NB: Code snippets at the bottom
The first problem is that after a bit of fiddling I'm getting am 'Object
Expected' error when I click on the Depot dropdown which I can't seem to get
round. The code I had was working OK but then I cut it all out, tidied it
all up, and put it back in and now it doesnt work.
The second problem is a 'How do I...'. I'm using an XML data island to
retrieve some data without submitting the form. In the first example, when
the user selects a Customer, the Depot list is updated with all the depots
for that customer; This all works fine. What I want to do now is retrieve
some more data when the Depot is selected.
I have the XML bits working; the js code snippet correctly output a series
of msgboxes with the correct value in (or at least it did until I introduced
the Object Expect error!).
However, I'm unsure as to how to display this information on the page. The
XML contains a series of Part No's and Quantities, which I'd like to display
in a table towards the bottom of the screen. The problem is that I don't
know how to dynamically create and populate this table.
The only caveat is that I dont want to show the table if no values are
returned from the query....
I am working on a <UL><LI> slide out menu for my site so I can link to every page from every other page to help with ease of navigation. I used an automatic generator I found on the web to create the menu, and I've pretty much modified it to the point I want. I have two issues that I can't figure out though, and believe they are controlled by javascript, and I know absolutely nothing about it.
1. Items that have sub-menus should display arrows.
2. Background goes gray on hover - I do not want it to change.
I have neither of these issues with java disabled. Do I even need the scripts that were made by the generator or can they be changed so I don't have these problems?

i just added datepicker to my contact form but looks like that adding functions resizing whole page on load, as soon as you focus on datebox page will resize back to normal size.

I have several forms on the same page that need to use the datepicker plug-in. I have datepicker working PERFECTLY on one form. Now I need to add other forms on the page. I haven't been able to get two datepickers working on the same page nor can I find any documentation on whether it's possible. I'm what you could call a total newcomer to jQuery. I've got a page with a jQuery DatePicker in which I wan't to block out some specific dates that are fetched from an MS-SQL database (I'm using ASP.NET). I've gotten so far as to understand that in order to accomplish this, I should create a .aspx page that returns only the blocked dates as a string. It's done, however, I really don't understand how I am to load the string into the jQuery script.. :P

I use .prepend to add html contents in an existing html tag. When i view the source in IE i can't see the added content. I tried it with Chrome and it's working and see the contents immediately.

I have a table that displays a list of groups. You can add, modify, or remove the group. I have three functions in my JS:

Using AJAX, PHP, and jQuery, when I add a group, it posts to an "addgroup.php" file, and then returns that data in JSON format, and I then tell jQuery to display that data in HTML. Here's the problem now... The table does not render properly. There is no padding/margins. Even worse, if I Add a group, and then click the "X" to delete the group (without refreshing the page), the data posts, and returns (i get a response in my console confirming the removal), but the entry that I just added does not disappear (as it should) unless I refresh the page. When I add a group, and then view my page source and inspect the element, all of the appropriate HTML is there, but it just doesn't seem to be rendering right.

I know that to add css onto a page, normally you need to grab a class or id.
