i've put a div (passed to the function with "r") with inside three div with class "pul". These has the function:
function clic(r){
var blocco = r + " div.pul";
$(blocco).each(function (i)
{
[Code].....
This one should take the img that has been clicked (with the "each()") and by the "i" in each() changes the "src" attribute of the image (with name 0.jpg, 1.jpg, 2.jpg eccetera.. that finds in the folder) that i put in another div ("cambiaimmagine", that is inside "mostrafoto_img", that is inside "mostrafoto"). Why? This image is bigger than the previous, so that you can see it bigger. This all runs in Firefox and Safari, not on IE 6 and 7. I tried to put the alert out of the "click()" and it runs, but inside not.

I cant really figure this out, the only thing i could see messing it up is the javascript:void(0) inside the anchor link but since there is a double click function and a click, it should only be one click.I put autoOpen which i think is also causing it, but i did that so theuser can open it, close it, and open it again so the delay "double click" is saying for the first time initialize and then the second click is opening?? if so how do i get around this?
HERE IS MY JQUERY $(document).ready(function(){ $("#pro_edit_profile").hide();[code]....
There is a checkbox on a form page, when you check it, a div will become visible with some extra inputs needed for that situation. To simulate this click on the checkbox external, I use click(). With jquery files 1.4 and lower this works properly and like expected. When using jquery library 1.4.1 or higher, something does not seem to work properly. Sooooo, the code:
Somehow I managed to get this thing 'sort of' working with 1.4.1 or higher. But the code to accomplish this is absurd. See functioncheckTheBox4Plus() on line 8. It works :) but shouldn't.. Or is it the other way around?
Is there some way to have my websites appear to be safe so that IE does not present the security warning for running scripts? None of the javascript is allowed to run unless the user "Allows Blocked Content". If I pay extra to have my sites considered "safe" will this avoid the IE warning issue?
Im building a simple portfolio site for myself and I am trying to use the .hide() and .show() methods to hide and show the various sections and subsections. I have one file panels.js which is working fine on its own to hide and show the main sections. But a second file gallery.js, which is supposed to control the subsections, never gets read. I can see the contents of the file in firebug, but nothing inside gets executed. If I take the contents of gallery.js and try to place them into the panels.js file. the whole thing stops working. So Im assuming its something off with the scripts in gallery.js. Heres the site so far: [URL]
At this point I am only working on the "ARTWORK" section, so that is the only section that should be working, please don't bother clicking on the other sections. What should be happening is that all the entries that say "Image Title" with some lorem ipsum should all be hidden at first, and only the first sentence at the top should show, but at this point all of it just stacks up and none of it is hidden. heres the contents of gallery.js
//hide all the subsections and show the intro $(".current_panel .image_area").removeClass("current_area"); $(".current_panel .image_area").hide();
how to run a function when an object has been added dynamically to the DOM. I have the bellow example code:
$ ( 'div.s' )
[Code]....
You can also find it here: [URL] I have realised that live doesn't work with load. How can I have a function executed when the div is added to the DOM ? custom event maybe?
If you go to my portfolio page, you'll see I have some thumbnails of photos which open up as a lightbox. But since I've added this to my page it stopped my top menu from animating. (If you go to another page you'll see how the menu is supposed to look).
Ok, so I'm not sure if this can be done, but I'm really hoping it can be. I have jQuery.js referenced in the <head> of my document. Now, what i'm trying to do is run the following script:
Ok so this is weird. I implimented jquery to try and get some ajax funtionality working and it not olnly doesn't work, it stops the rest of my normal js from running at all.
[Code]...
EVERYTHING stops working. All my DOM events don't fire and none of my regular JS works. Anyone know how to get jquery code to work with or without normal JS code?
I want to do a similar effect on my site as this site has doneWith the times of the cities running along the top of my page. Their whole site is built in tables and has an insane amount of javascript in the head so I am guessing the site is quite out of date.Is there a easier/simpler/cleaner way to do this? Maybe using jQuery?
I have a lot of things that are running on the $document.ready() area and was wondering if I can put them all into an external js file and call 1 function from the $(document).ready() call
I would just like to call 1 function from the $(document).ready() call that lies in an external .js file that will process the code above so I don't have so much clutter in the page. This is what I would like. I have tried it but it doesn't work.
This is a strange problem because there's no reason it should be happening. I'm running xampp 1.7.4 locally and jquery-1.6-dev. I'm working through the "jQuery Novice to Ninja" book and everything is working fine until I hit Chapter 3 - animated navigation. Instead of displaying across the top of the page, the nav bar displays down the page. After double- and triple-checking everything I just straight copied the example files for the book into my local server. It did the same thing. In other words, when I double-clicked the file to view in the browser it worked, but the exact same file viewed in the server did not work. I checked with the file I was working on and sure enough the same thing happened - it worked viewed in the browser but not through the server. I hope I explained this clearly. Has anyone run into this sort of thing before? Is there something on the server that needs to be configured?
I would like to know what is the the easiest way to get if the user is browsing internet in fullscreen?I use following code:
var windowHeight = $(window).height(); // returns height of browser viewport var documentHeight = $(document).height(); // returns height of HTML document var windowWidth = $(window).width(); // returns width of browser viewport
Is there a way to replace the first slide in a running slideshow such that it's shown only once?? I've been trying variations on something like this with no success. The element is replaced, but cycle doesn't show it.
function doBefore(){ var i = $(".slide").index(this); if (i == 1){
basically i have this menu system which works using a couple of jquery scripts it all works fine etc, but now i am porting my site into a joomla design ( dont ask why just a challange )at the moment i have a module on the left which has my menu in and on the right is another module which loads the content depending on the outcome of the script:at the moment what ihave done is not the finished product as i would like to make sure that this will work before moving to the next part of my scriptbefore i go on and on and on ill show you what i have:
I want to use two different jQuery functions when a form submit button is pressed. I would like to run a form validation function, and if it validates fine, I want to use an ajax submission where it sends the form data and then hides the form showing the word "Sent".
Running each functionseparately, I can get either to work. But trying to figure out how to run one and IF TRUE run the next one I can't figure out.
When the forms submit button is clicked (it's called generate) I thought in that code on the click event I could write $("#contactForm").validate; and that would run my function. Instead it just submits the form via ajax.
How do I get it to run the validate function and only when the validate function returns that the form is valid that it then submits?
but i have these basic functions to show a div and all i would like to do after these run is to actually make the screen scroll to the bottom here is my code i know is wrong can you please point me in the right direction.
I've got a problem on a site using AJAX navigation where when you first request a page, parts of the script haven't been executed, but if you visit again, it's fine. Is there a common pitfall causing this problem?
I have a basic dropdown css menu system. When a menu item is selected (ex: foo.html), the cluetip link opens a 450px wide window as expectedThen,I selectanother menu item (ex: bar.html). But when I return to link foo.html: and click the same clueTip link the clueTip link now opens in it's own window instead of the 450px clueTip window as beore would expect the small clueTip window to open and show the clueTip on each successive click as it does the first time. If I do a browser reload, the first menu selection works as it should, but only on the first click.If the menu is not used, the single file opens the clueTip correctly. Does clueTip get confused in a menu program?
// the cluetip code: $(document).ready(function() { $('#clickme').cluetip({
I've a function for my search form. Basically when you click on the form box where it says "Enter your search here" this value disapears when you click in the box. When you click out the box it re adds the value. It works if you click return on the keyboard and performs the search no problem. However if you click the search button with the mouse it removes the search term and replaces it back with "Enter your search here". This obviously will not return the search.
Anyone know how I can fix this so this does not happen on the mouse click?
I've used jsfiddle to add the html and javascript but it is not working in there, but works if you add it to dreamweaver and look at it within a browser. [URL]
This is the code: <script type="text/javascript"> function make_blank() {
How can I give a click on a link when it is just created and added to DOM?
None of this works: function openProfilePage(profile){ $('#profile-link').remove(); var link = $('<a/>').attr({'href':'profile.php?user='+profile, 'target':'_blank', 'id':'profile-link'}).css({'top':'-200px','left':'-300px', 'position':'absolute'}).html(profile);
