I am trying to set up a simple menu, with the ability for users to add items to their order.Each item has a price, and I am trying to set it up so that when they add an item to their order, it automatically calculated and updates the subtotal.The page so far is[URL]I can't get the sub-total to update at all.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to simulate a simple checkout page where a user inputs the quantity of merchandise that they want in multiple text boxes. When they click "calculate" it calculates the subtotal, tax, and total. As it stands my calculate function works if I do quantity * price for each text box and then add together. I would have to do this 9 times! :eek: I would like to use an array but I am not exactly sure how to use it to do calculations. I know I need a loop (which I have written) and an array (which is written also).

javascript coding portin of the web page.Need it to use the pop up alerts that have been input above and also to calculate the order upon entering a correct amount showing subtotal, tax, and total.
Ive got codes that calculate the route & prices between distances upon entering data into two boxes lablled "to" and "from" using google maps. What I need is the route to be shown on the map. Ive tried the googlemap forums but they wont help me (they just direct me to the documentation which I dont really understand).
Anyway after trying to read and understand the code, I managed to get the map to display but when using the form to find postcodes, it stops working.
I'm trying to grab all the cells created with insertrow function and the className 'rowtotal' and get their innerHTML to equal that of a cell with id 'subtotal'. This is a simplified html code of single cell inserted rows:

The image doesn't change its absolute position, but when user scrolls or views a page with images, so he sees how the image gets more and more close to the top edge of screen, till the distance is 0. For a project that would be too hard to explain, I am working with date ranges. There is a begin date and an end date. With those two variables, I need a function to calculate the number of months between both dates. To be more precise, I need a count of all unique month names in the dates (or month numbers if that is easier) where the range includes the beginning date, the end date, and all dates in between. So I am not looking for full months or an approximation. If only, say, one day of a given month is included in the date range, that adds a month. Also the range can span several years, january 2010 and january 2011 need to count for two different months.

I have a table with a number of rows in it each with a delete link which calls $("#" + id).remove(); of course passing in the right table row id each time. I also have a row at the bottom that has divs with totals of columns in each row. After I add a row to the table I call a function that goes through each table row, gets the values that I need and keeps a running total. I finally update the divs in the last row with these totals. However, when I do the row.remove() and then call my calculate function it never completes.
In my debugging it looks like the tblWorksheet table that I'm trying to get to, to get it's rows, is no longer recognized. So I'm wondering if instead of removing the row by the id if I need to call the remove function on the table to tell it to remove the row. If so I'm not sure of the syntax to do that. The following doesn't work.

If that's not the case, why I couldn't get to my table after removing the row?
I want to add onto my ebay auction a calculation which would show the unit price of a box of 5 electrical sockets.
So say it is currently on auction at £5.62 and I charge £1.99 Postage & packing thats a total of £7.61 with a unit price of £1.52. Then £1.52 is the figure I want to output and show on screen.

I have an HTML form with 3 checkboxes, like a would-be order form. For example, on checkbox 1, the product is a toy car that costs $5.00, second box is a cigar cutter for $50, etc. I to have a button that when clicked, enters the total price (no taxes or subtotals) into a textbox field below in the same page.
I believe that this has been answered somewhere but I cannot find it. I have 51 textboxes on page. In 50 I can enter value. 51st should tell me what is average of entered numbers.
As user types I want script to iterate trough form count and sum non-empty fields and than divides this two numbers.I need to sum values from fields that have value (not emty fields) and to divide this number by number of non empty fields. This should occur on every change in any of those 50 textboxes so to have live preview of average.
I'm really new to JS and I don't know even how to sum these numbers.
I built 2 steps script - in the first page the visitor choose the date he want to schedual his appoitment and his location:

In the second page he need to choose the time he want for his appointment (the time is in GMT+3 -> my local time). in this page the script also get the time zone and the date that he choose in the previous page (using POST - PHP). the date saved in variable. I used unix time (MKTIME function) I want that every time my visitor choose time (from drop-down box) a new cell/DIV will appear with his local time.for example - when he choose date: 10 May 2010, time zone: Austrlia - East Coast (+8 Hours) and time 22:00, New DIV will appear with the date "11 May 2010, 03:00AM" (there are 5 hours different).what is the JS what caculate and show the visitor local time?(I have, in PHP, only his time zone and the date that he coose in the first page)
I have tried many time to make the calculation to appear at the total text box.
