I need to traverse all elements of a form & change the color of the label text inside divs. I use a label inside a div to keep texts in columns but only change the color of the text not the entire div. If there is another way please let me know, I prefer css not tables.I have tried many versions but none work because "lab below" is undefined.
[code]
<form id='editform'>
<div id='div1' style='width:30%'><label id='lab1'>None</label></div>

I have a table on which there are a number of cells. some cells contain input boxes that allow users to enter various information. However I need to know how to access the information contained within each cell to allow me to compare it to some other information. Would anyone be able to tell me if this is possible and how I would go about it.

I'm using jquery to make it easy for AJAX calls.
So I create a class: function cMap(mapID){//vars and stuff}
I go and prototype a function: cMap.prototype.loadMap = function(){ //jquery AJAX call }
Now in the jquery $.ajax({...}); call, I use an anonymous function on the "success:" call: success: function(data){ this.member = data; }
My problem is that inside this anonymous function call I'm trying to call a class member of my cMap class to store the data in from the AJAX call, but it's out of scope. So the JS console in FF/Chrome throws errors about bad value/doesn't exist.
How can I access this class member from inside an anonymous function? Or at least what's a good way to go about doing all this?

I've been searching for about 3 days on this topic. I'm trying to get a template field inside of an ASP.Net detailsview control inside of an ajax updatepanel to work with the jquery datepicker. Very frustrating! I'm using VB with VS 2010. I can get the datepicker to work fine with a simple text box inside of an update panel but when I put it inside of a detailsview control it stops working.

consider the next code:
var obj = {};
with(obj) {
var x = 10;
}
print(x);
print(obj.x);
It prints 10 and undefined. Here, one could expect that obj.x get the
value 10. But it's not the case, because variable declarations are
placed at the start of function code (or global code), so the
previous code is equivalent with:
var obj;
var x;
obj = {};
with(obj) {
x = 10;
}
print(x);
print(obj.x);
You can clearly see now that x is placed in the outer context. But
consider the next:
var obj = {};
with(obj) {
eval("var x = 10;");
}
print(x);
print(obj.x);
I was expecting that obj.x would get the value 10 here. But no, it
gives the same output as the previous code. I tested it with
spidermonkey, kjs and ie jscript. Looking at the ECMA spec, I could
not find anything that describes that behaviour. Code:

In a project repeated blocks are identified by an <input type="hidden" value="x" /> field. To get an access to one of the block I wanted first access to that field. My first problem is there and I will explain it by a micro-project (tested with Firefox only)
Here is the HTML code :
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "[URL]">
<html><head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf8" />
<meta http-equiv="Content-Style-Type" content="text/css" />
<meta http-equiv="Content-Script-Type" content="text/javascript" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href = "index.css" type="text/css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src='Library/jquery-1.4.js'></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src='index.js'></script> .....
And here the javascript code wher is the JQuery question
//meta http-equiv content-type charset=utf8
function test(){
var $id = $('#curUnion').val();
var $objet = $('#toutesUnions > .pseudoFieldset').find('input[value=$id]');
var $test = $objet.val();
var $objet2 = $('#toutesUnions > .pseudoFieldset').find('input[value="1"]'); .....
With $id = "1" as shown by the Javascript debugger (in Firefox) where is the difference between find('input[value=$id]') and find('input[value="1"]')
Giving the alert result => undefined / 1
If you want to test the micro project you will find it in the Test.zip joined. How to access the immediate parent pseudoFieldset to get its html code?

Suppose I have the following HTML code:
<div class="one">
<a href="http://jquery.com/">jQuery</a>
</div>
<div class="two">
[Code].....
Basically I want to recognize which <div> tag was double clicked, and hide the corresponding link that is nested within that specific <div> tag.
The only way I can think to do this currently is to basically copy and paste a whole bunch of jQuery code for each <div> tag and it's sub-elements (links in this case).

it seems to be a problem if I need to access data() of the elements from another window, like for example $(anyElement,window.opener.document).data() which returns null when in fact there is some data actually stored. I heard that data is stored in the $.cache, which is window-related, so that's understandable, but how can I work around that?
Certain plugins that use $.data no longer work correctly because of that. E.g., I can't use linkselectmethods on linkselects located in the window.opener.document. Again, is there any workaround?

I would try retrieve some information from a database (and eventually graph it I hope!).
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<html>
<head>
[Code].....
But if I view the "contents" tab in httpfox I can actually see the data under <sourcetext> I require but there is an XML parse error.
<?xml-stylesheet
href="chrome://global/locale/intl.css" type="text/css"
?>
<parsererror>
[Code].....
The NS_ERROR_DOM_BAD_URI seems to be about cross domain issues but I'm working locally on the actual server so should I be able to access the data? Also why is there an XML parse error when I can see the exact data I want in httpfox's "Content" tab?

I've tried different variations:
What am I missing here?
