How To Link To Other Websites Without Leaving My Website?
May 14, 2001
My problem is I want to have all the links display in my website itself. That is, if I gave a link to CNN.com, that webpage should display under my logo, menu etc. Hope u can understand and help with my problem.
I am using an alert dialog function I found online. The support for it has closed.Here is the page showing my alert button:Click here to view my test pageYou can check out the source html and the linked jquery files.The alert button works correctly by displaying an alert box.How do I apply this same behavior to a link?I want a user to click on the link, and:(1) receive the message they are leaving the site, then(2) be redirected to the other URL.
Need some script that alerts "Are you sure you want to leave this website ... some stuff..." when the user closes the browser (leaving the website for the 1st time)
I'm trying to write script for a popup when an external link is clicked telling the user they are leaving the site bla bla and the bank isnt affiliated with the link and do they want to leave "yes" or "no" I see a ton of variations of this online but I cant find one that prevents the external site from loading so the user can decide yes or no on the popup. And the popup will have to be an html page, not a 1 line question so I dont see how 'confirm' would work...
I am looking for a pop up to collect emails when a visitor is leaving my site, I don't which pop up software can provide that.I know how annoying pop up can be but I am sure my visitors will be ok with it, they are even asking for it.
I would like to add a prompt when a visitor of my website leaves the site or closes the browser.The prompt should be to optionally give his/her feedback about the site.
--> User can fill a simple form with comment & email id --> In this case, the comments should go to our mail id
--> The user can also leave the site without giving the feedback, saying NO to the prompt.
Basically I want some of the links in my page to open in new tabs (I'm using Firefox) or windows if the user has their options configured that way. And I want my page to remain intact as it involves some AJAX and takes a while to load.
But ...and this seems to be a big "but"... I don't want the focus to move away from the page I'm on. So techniques such as <a target="_blank"or <a onclick="window.open(...)"aren't working for this requirement. I even tried using a separate function and attempting to return to the original window straight after using the following function: Code:
im trying to automate a click on a link using javascript for which i have to navigate to a website first and then trigger a click on a link present there. for example i ve mentioned the [URL]here and after navigating to bing home page it should automatically click the feedback link and go to that corresponding page. i ve tried like
<html> <head> <script> function ClickURL() {
[Code]....
but it not works. it just navigates to bing home page but not triggering the click on a feedback link.
I was told that the javascript code to my website needs to be removed in order for my website to be linked to a company's webpage. But I cannot remove the code the company is referring to code...
Does the IT Department at the company's webpage need to add or remove language that will allow my website to link properly? The company is asking me to change my website link but I cannot do that. Is the company uploading my link incorrectly? The company said "The JavaScript for your website is interfering and will not allow us to link your profile to your website."
Anyone know how I can change the color of a text link on a page that doesn't load a new page, but rather stays on the same page?The nav links already use an onClick to present content below it that changes depending on what link in the nav I select. In other words, there's already two things going on -- links take you to content on the same page using a JS onClick.What I want to add to that is when you click on the link, it changes style, like turns bold or changes color. So then the user knows that not only have they selected new content, but the link they selected stands out as well.
I'm looking for a jQuery code that will show a little mini screenshot of a website when you hover over an external link - been looking for a while with little joy.
I'm new to javascript and I have a button in an interface for an app. It's like drag and drop and i want this button to link you to a certain website searching for what the user types in the searchField1 box. The button is button16. Such as you type dogs into the text box and you click the google button among other search engines and it will redirect you to a google search doing a search for dogs. But how do I make this button search google and search for whats in searchField1. I would really appreciate the help. Im looking everywhere to learn this but just cant find it. If you could tell me how or send me a link to a tutorial code...
I advertise on the internet and they want me to link my webpage to their webpage with an dhtml code...Then they will list my website on their page.. I use geo cities page builder for my webpage.
I am trying to put an image on the front page of my website that changes to one of two random images on mouseover. This part was easy, and has been done (I got the code from [URL] But what I am finding difficult is to make each image link to a different page. For example, if the user mouseovers the main image and sees the 'thumbs up' image, then clicks on it, they should be taken to the 'thumbs up' page. And if the user mouseovers the main image and sees the 'thumbs down' image, then clicks on it, they should be taken to the 'thumbs down' page. The site is here: [URL] I think using 2 arrays is the way to go, but am not sure.
Ok im haviung a problem, im building a website and im building some javascript! My main issue is that whenever I use IE7, a small pop-up says "To help protect your security, IE has restricted this webpage from running scripts ... bla bla bla... " you get the picture.Why is it some or many websites dont have this pop-up appearing when they themselves have scripts running? (which i am 100% sure of)Do you need some Microsoft approval so that the stupid pop-up doesn't appear every time i access the website or wut?I need an explanation as to what I need to do to stop that pop-up from appearing
is there a way using .htaccess or some other means that we can block certain websites from appearing when we do a google search of my wife's name? We contacted google and they denied our request to have these websites blocked. My wife has her own website she uses for her business. There was an .htaccess editor website that I visited that created the code after I specified the url of the websites we wanted blocked. Will this work and if so, after creating the .htaccess file what do I do with it, that is where do I attach it/post it? (this is the first time i've ever posted anything on a website. my wife and I are technophobes.)
[URL]All on one page with one scrollbar.I want it to seem like I copy pasted all three sites one after another on my page.I tried using frames but that splits up the window into parts. What I want is one long continuous website with all of these frames/iframes/whatever displayed continuously one after another with one scrollbar
From the term "automatic login" I suppose security (password protection) is not of key importance here. The guidelines for solution could be to use a Javascript bookmark (idea borrowed form a nice game published on [M&M's DK site][URL].. The idea is to create a javascript file and store it locally. It should do the login data entering depending on current site address. Just an example using jQuery:
[Code]...
Multiply the code blocks in your script, to add more sites in the similar manner. You could even combine it with `window.open(...)` functionality to open more sites, but that may get the script inclusion more complicated.
Note: This only illustrates an idea and needs lots of further work, it's not a complete solution.
This is the code I found on stackoverflow for automatic login to websites but it does not work. I am doing exactly as told is ther anything wrong
I am currently working with <iframe> I want to which website currently I am on when I surf different websites within this iframe for example I have iframe whose src="google.com". I can click any link on the Google page now I want a way by which I can know where currently I am using javascript.
[Code]...
but alert always displays the same [URL] even if I navigate to any website.
I have a problem, say that I have a lot of diffrent websites, and that those are on diffrent webservers, now also say that I want one specific objekt on all those websites, is it possible to write a javascript that gets that object from another webserver?
Code: function getElementFromAnotherSite(){ /*Download www.example.com/images/example.gif
