i need to make my alert box stand out a bit more i have looked everywhere but can't find anything! i was looking to do stuff like Bold, Italics, Underline, Fonts, Sizes, Borders, Backgrounds maybe something that flashed!i'm not asking you to do it for me just tell me how and were to put the different codes!

Is there any way I can customize the alert message box and text?
I am creating a new Option and putting it in a select menu. The problem is that the TEXT property is not showing up in IE7. I end up seeing a blank option. The .text property can be used (by alerting option.text) but its not showing up. It shows up find in FF.
Here is how I create the option:

newOption = new Option("Test",'test');
position = man_list.indexOf('Cannon');
shoveOption(selectMenu, newOption, position);
Here is the function I am using to put the option in the select menu:

I am working on the largest web project of my career and the programming is a little over my head to a relatively new designer...so any help or suggestions would be great. Id like to control scrolling of two divs with one scrollbar as in this example here

At the same time i want to customize the scrollbar. Ive been using Flexcroll which work fine on a single div. But as soon as i insert flexcroll.js to head of document in the example, the sync of the two divs breaks and only the div with Flexcroll attached scrolls.
Anyone know how to solve this? You can find the code im using in the example or i can post.I dont have to use Flexcroll, so if you know of any other application that can customize scrollbar and control scroll on two divs at the same time.

I am a jQuery beginner and have managed to install basic plugins, but I still have some problems with customization. I am working with the Roundabout plugin and I would like to trigger the Roundabout animation with a mouseover. On the Roundabout website there is an explanation for how to trigger the animation with buttons, but I need an explanation for triggering the animation with a mouseover. I would like to "focus" the image with the mouse rather than a click.

I'm using the validation plugin and tries to get the invalid errors to appear like I want to. If the form isn't valid, I would like to change the invalid elements placeholder text to a different color. That's it. I don't want to show any message somewhere. Is this possible? How?

My first foray in using JQuery - trying to customize navigation in SharePoint 2010. Have adapted some jquery found online through various sources to meet needs. However, having an ID assigned to the <ul> element that drives my menu is required. SP, while dynamically building menu does not assign and ID to the ul element. Been trying, unsuccessfully thus far, to use jquery to add and ID tag to the proper ul... just wanted to see if that is in fact possible and for any tips in implementing.
Output is <ul class="root static"> and I would like to replace it with <ul class="root static" id="menu">
I have been successfully in simply replacing the cssclass (which doesn't actually help me) and in replacing regular text in the body, but just can't get that ID added to the element.
I'm currently working on an AJAX chat room (jpfchat), which is basically phpfreechat integrated with Joomla. The right column of the room shows current users in the room and refreshes dynamically via AJAX so when new users come in, everyone's session shows the new visitor. I want to be able to customize the script so it pulls custom user info from the Joomla DB. I'm attempting to do this using AJAX.
I located the part of the script that generates the list of usernames. Basically it's a 'for' loop that spits out html using javascript and the JSON response. I've appended a line to this section to execute my custom script. The problem I'm having is that while everything works great on IE, it only works on Safari if I DON'T use asynchronous and it DOESN'T work on EITHER Safari or Firefox if I DO use asynchronous.

Issue is that after receiving confirm alert, when user press tab to go on Cancel button and press Enter key there, despite of firing event of Cancel button, it fires the event of OK button. this issue is not produced when user press the cancel button by mouse. I've got this row of images (in the end there will be more rows of pics
as well). When a user clicks on the image, I want a new window to open
with a larger version of the image. I want that new window to be
customized to the size of the new larger image. Also, when users go
back to see other images in their larger size, I want the new window
(assuming they never closed the first one) to come back to the front.
I've only gotten as far as getting the larger images to open in a new
window at a set size in the function. I thought I could just make
specific scripts for each image, but that would be cumbersome to say
the least....

php page is echoing out:{"species":"Please select a species!"} I double checked the response from the php and firebug shows the same. On success alert is not alerting the JSON data instead, I'm receiving [object Object]. Why is that and how do what should I do to fix this?
