I tried to add links to open local xml files in browser in a dynamic table cells. I need help. I tried all ways but I think I miss something.I can open them without table just by document.write(xmlfile location).

this code:

oCell1_1.innerHTML= 'new cell'
Which inserts a row in my table and I can populate the cell with the
text using the innerHTML property. No problem.
My question is, how do I set the VALIGN of this new cell?
I have tried this..
oCell1_1.valign='top'
and that does not generate a JavaScript error but it doesn't
vertically align the text in the cell either.
Other attempts generate javascript errors.
I'm dynamically creating a table. I create the <tr>s with five <td>s. I then remove the third <td> and would like to add the cell variable where I removed the td. The creation of the table works, the removal of the td works, now how do I add the cell var where I removed the td? Example here: [URL]

I'm working on an iPhone application that extracts data from a website using Javascript and displays it in a more user-friendly text box. Everything works fine and dandy, however, now that I've come up to the last element, I need to extract text from a table on a website.Basically what I want to do is find the balance, in this case '$17.28' from 'results_table', and have that stored in a variable. I would have "thought" it would be a simple thing to get the (unformatted) text in each cell of a dynamic table but I have failed to solve this problem. So...I have a table that the user can dynamically load with data. They click an add button to insert a row in a table which includes a delete button per row if they want to turn around and delete it.The table is inside a form. When they submit the form, I need to read each row and each cell in a row in order to dump it into some format so that the table contents display reasonably well in the email that is sent from the form submission.So the add row function looks like:

I have a web project I've been working on in my free time using mostly jsp. It's currently set up so that if a user clicks the login button it takes them to a check-login servlet which will return whether it's a valid login or not through a session.setAttribute("loginstatus","Valid"). Everytime the check-login completes, though, it redirects back to the index.jsp.
I want it to never leave the index.jsp page, but instead just refresh the main content cell in the table. Is it possible? I've never worked much with ajax or javascript before, but have considerable experience with java
Edit: the reason I post this here instead of JSP is because I think it may require javascript or some dynamic coding of some sort
