Displaying Multiple, Identical Cookies?

Quick question regarding basic cookies. I have a button that runs a function that creates a cookie onclick;document.cookie = ("cookie1=500");whenever i display this later, despite the fact i've clicked the button 3 times. It only displays once. Is there a way I could display this AS MANY TIMES as the button was clicked.
<script type="text/javascript">
var cookies = document.cookie;
var cookie_name = new Array();

I'm reading a book on Javascript and I've been doing their tutorial on getting and setting cookies. Trouble is my code, and their supplied sample, don't work. It is supposed to display a very simple page with an image. When you click the image it is supposed to open up a new (very simple) page.
Code follows...
<html><head>
<title>main page</title>
<script language=JavaScript>
var lastUpdated = new Date("Tue, 28 Dec 2010");
function getCookieValue(cookieName){
var cookieValue = document.cookie;
var cookieStartsAt = cookieValue.indexOf(" " + cookieName + "=");
if (cookieStartsAt == -1) {
cookieStartsAt = cookieValue.indexOf(cookieName + "=");
} if (cookieStartsAt == -1) {
cookieValue = null; .....

I'm having an issue with setting multiple cookies with javascript in three drop down menus.The first cookie is set without a problem, but the other two don't which in turn messes up my triggers to automatically populate these drop downs based on the previous menu's value.Here is the code:First I am setting the cookie:
Code:
setCookie('default' + arrayName[i].name, jQuery.trim(arrayName[i].value), 0);
if ((arrayName[i].type == 'text' || arrayName[i].type == 'select-one') && jQuery.trim(arrayName[i].value).length != 0) {
newArray[newArray.length] = arrayName[i];[code]...

I have a form with 3 questions and 9 hidden option divs. Questions are answered in radio form and it will be mandatory to answer each question. Depending on which radio in each question is selected, several of the hidden divs will display, once the "Get options" button is selected. Now the code I have already works fine (only tested in IE8), however I'm almost 100% positive that the Options() function can be truncated considerably. In the final form, there will be 36 individual permutations of radios and as you can see with the little example below, the function will get quite large.

I have a Java-based web application whose interface can be in multiple
languages. My requirement is that the javascript alerts that I display
should be displayed in the language in which the interface has been
generated. The interface language is dynamically loaded and the text is
displayed using Java's <fmttags.
How can I make the Javascript alerts, etc. also change their display
language dynamically? Is it possible in Javascript or do I have to use
another technology to do the same?

Getting myself back into jQuery and have an issue which I didn't previously fix, and was wondering if anyone would be able to assist me. I have multiple DIVs (up to 50 on one page) that I wish to individually be able to hide and close an extra DIV once pressing the 'Details' to show, and 'Hide' to hide the extra hidden DIV.

I have this script:
Code JavaScript:
var value = jQuery(this).attr("value");
var value2 = jQuery(".my_form #value2 ").attr("value");
if(value != value2){
var errorcode = "error -" + value + "-";
surrounding_element.attr("class","").addClass(errorcode);

for both elements. So it seems to me that value and value2 are identical. But the 'if' says no.

I have groups of elements that are scattered around my page but have identical id's so that I can reference them all at once (as a group).These elements are sitting inside of an iFrame, that is sitting inside another iFrame (that is building a nested navigation bar).So what I want to do is have a script sitting in the top document that when a button is pressed it will reference those double-nested identical id's and toggle their display.and this is what I have so far...(while testing, I do not have any identical id's)
HTML Code:

I would like to ask if the following is possible.
1) I have one hundred identical links on my page
2) I have a function that changes a clicked link to "display: none" (using the toggle functioon)
Is it possible for me to set it up so that only the link that is clicked (that is, only one element) gets affected? I don't want to click and have all the links disappear.. just the one that was clicked.Would this code below work in all browsers? [code] And secondly, may I ask whats the difference between $("a") and $('a'). I've seen people use single quotation makrs and double. Which is better ??

I'm trying to make a form where a user can check boxes, and depending on if certain boxes have been checked, other boxes will grey out or un-grey.
What the code does is look at the checkbox name and depending on the family (f), and whether or not the box is a child (c) or a parent (p), the code will grey out certain boxes.
Now that I've sat back and thought about the code, I think there is probably a better way to achieve what I want. Maybe I can specify checkbox names instead of doing the parent child hierarchy that i'm trying. Code:

If I create a cookie in PHP here.
setcookie('cookie_cl_'.$client_id, 'cookie_cl_'.$client_id, $time, "/","", 0);
the php script is set on domain B
the javascript I want to read the cookie is set on domain B as well
However, the
hosted on DOMAIN A <script src=domain B .js>
I want the cookie to remain on domain B, but if I open the JS file using domain A, both php and JS are using domain B, though I can't seem to get the JS to find the cookie, is it looking at domain A ?
am I suppose to set a domain on cookie for this to work?

I need to set two cookies. One to be used for redirection and page loading,
which i have now and works and a second one that is used to write
information on a page.
Both are to be set automatically when loading the page. The second will
will set a company name like "Your company name". Then when the next page
is loaded it will put "Your company name" on the webpage. And like I said
before the first cookie is set for navigation purposes.

What's the trick to sharing cookies between frames? I can set and read a
cookie in the same frame, but if I try to read the cookie in another frame
it is undefined. :o(
There are some other cookies that are available in all frames, so I know
that the frames are capable of reading cookies, just not the ones that I set
in the other frame.
