Get Client IP From Behind A Firewall?
Jul 23, 2005I would like to get a web client's IP where the client is behind a firewall.
I googled but hasn't found any solution with javascript that work's. There
seems to be a java applet that can do this, but i would like the applet to
put it into a "hidden" tag or into a textbox on the HTML page, so when the
user clicks "OK" it will be posted to my PHP script.

is coming in from a database query, I want to either
1) display the value (from the databse) and let the user change it;
OR
2) display the value (from the database), but NOT let the user change
it.
I tried using javascript to disable the popup list, and that works,
except the form "loses" the value of the entry in the popup list.
Maybe "disable" is not the correct property I want to use. If that is
the case, what is it?

following work?

Since this is a frameless site, I don't think this would work, at least
would never get to the close()...

The detail portion has multiple rows(where I use a for loop) . All the rows should be disabled upon loading. The first row is open for entry only when all the header fields are entered. Subsequent row is open for entry when the 1st row is entered and so forth. I called an external javascript function to disabled all the fields in the form but somehow give an error - undefined.

Feb 22, 2010I got two textareas. I push a form button and some text fills both textareas, lets say "x" for area one and "y" for area two. I then disable the first textarea with a another button so that when I push the fill button again, only textarea two gets updated. To do that I use this:
document.myform.mytextarea.disabled=true;
It works on Firefox, Opera, IE8, but not on IE7. With IE7 both textareas change content, in does not matter that I disabled the first one. I get the same problem if I use:
