View 9 Replieshad this in browsers areas but people told me I should put it here in Javascript because more people here would probably have seen it before and know why it happens. I have basic Javascript that rotates images. I've noticed any kind of Javascript code that rotates images has this same problem only in Mozilla. When the images rotate in Mozilla in between the rotations, Mozilla browser adds a little colored square that represents a blank image that are able to be seen does anyone know why Mozilla Browser adds that? For example when looking at this page in Mozilla can see it. if you know if this is some Mozilla problem with Javascript and images. Doesn't happen with IE and other browsers shows the images only and nothing else.

In IE and Mozilla I have no trouble capturing the keyCode, and in IE I can prevent pressing a letter "D" and Up/Down arrows from making the list move to Dead, but the select list will drop to Dead in Mozilla. I've tried attaching the event handler to keyup, keydown and keypress, but have yet to find a way in Mozila to capture the keypress and prevent the select list from changing the current selection.

We need to put a menu on a page on our website. The menu has to be in the
vertical area of a frames page. Go to www.fqvictims.org . The menu choices
on the left need to be categorized - and we need a menu system to "drop
down" choices.
We will pay $100-$200 if someone could write a script with a working menu.
I am working for a volunteer group called fqvictims (victims of fluoroquinolone
antibiotics).
We have tried to get a menu working, even purchasing Allwebmenus pro - but
that product is buggy as hell.
Please send us an email at fqvictim@fqvictims.org if you think you can help
us. I can't imagine it would take that much time for someone that knows
java/java script.
I have been tasked with reproducing something quite similar to the following website [url]...
I examined the site, and after looking at the source I have determined that a lot of it looks like it was coded in JavaScript. While I do know a bit of JavaScript but I must admit it's not the sharpest tool in my arsenal.
Since this "application" will be heavy on the JavaScript interface, I was wondering if there was a GUI RAD tool for JavaScript similar to Visual C# for .NET.
So far I have looked into Visual Web Developer 2010 Express, Dreamweaver, and most recently the Google Web Toolkit (with GWT Designer), is anyone familiar with any of these tools, and will any of these help me develop a largely GUI based JS application?
I am fairly new in trying to cut up and customize a jQuery plugin, previously I was able to just grab code from various blogs and did not really have to dive into the js but now I am unable to find any good resources with this particular plugin.
The plugin I am working on is jQuery.sheet, [URL]...ionalities that I want, I need the plugin to be able to send a AJAX request as soon as the user edits the cells and then update that input in the mysql table in the back on the fly. currently his plugin works by doing a hard save by invoking a save function.
I have taken a look at the massive code in jquery.sheet.js but I really have no idea where to begin. The developer doesn't reply my emails either so I was wondering if anyone here can point me in the right direction. I figure a seasoned jquery ninja can look at the js file and can see how the code works when users click to edit a cell. I am still trying to figure that part out...let alone trying to add ajax requests.
i'm new to jQuery and SVG and my homerwork is to develope ECG chart. It should show data with: - 25mm/s - 50 mm/s - 1mm/mV - 5mm/mv I've decided to use Keith Wood jQuery plugin and have some questions. Is it possible to manipulate with gridlines when using graphing extension? I'd like every full second line to be thicker than the rest. Secondly, length on chart in every resolution should be equal to real length. Or should I make that chart step by step using drawing functions?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using vs2010 and when I hit ctr + F5 it launches which ever broswer I select to browse with and tells it not to use the cached version of that web page. But regardless if its chrome, firefox,IE, opera or safari,they all seem tohit a wall and stop recognizing my changes code tweaks. How do I resolve this frustration! It is very trouble some when testing .json file changes and css changes.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using this Browser Plugin call: world = new MTSPlugin( '../obj/main.mtx', '100%', '100%', '', 'simple', ''); in the middle of my page, where I want to load this object. (It is a 3d rendering modul Viewpoint Player)
Now I want to add a browser check, as this plugin runs only in IE. When I dedect that the page is loaded with IE, I am writing via Jquery a class name into my body tag.
I thought, it would work if I do the following:
if($('body').attr('class').length > 1){
world = new MTSPlugin( '../obj/main.mtx', '100%', '100%', '', 'simple', '');
}
But for some reason, the if fails, as it seem that the plugin is called earlier than the jquery browser check, so the class name is not set at this point.
Then I thought, making a function arround and call it onLoad within the body tag.
Which has the disatvantage that the MTS Plugin is loading at the worng place on the page.
What I want, is that the call to the object "world = new MTSPlugin( '../obj/main.mtx', '100%', '100%', '', 'simple', '');"
is only at a trie condition at the place where it should be...
I've a BIG Problem With a HUGE JS application , i'm modifying its javaScript code to work on both IE/Mozilla , currently it works fine on IE but not on Mozilla.
My main Point now is events.
Lets try with a little module, consider this function :
And it is attached in this place like :
This works fine in IE , i want to modify it to work on Mozilla.
I am having some issues using jQuery multi-select, it works fine but really lags when I have multiple instances (can crash the browser in some cases) am using jQuery 1.3 & jQuery 1.7 as the demo (have tried updating to the newer versions but problems persists)
I am using the following [url]
Does anyone have any idea to speed this up, or an alternative plugin that works a little better?
We've got application builded on custom-made mvc-framework and all navigation made on POST-requests. Usually request contains "command" and some parameters. Currently our implementation of "back" functionality is pretty bad - every link on page should write command and parameters to session params so next page can take them to form "back" link. Obviously, such method leads to many bugs. Is there some jQuery plugin to make those things easier to write and maintain?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a slideshow plugin and there is a function in it called stopAutoplay(). This is called when I click on the pre-defined pause button in the slideshow, so it stops.
If I switch between the slideshows(Slideshow 1 2 3) the slideshow is getting messier and messier because it starts many slideshows at the same time and the plugin gets confused what to show.
I figured if I click on the pause button before I switch to another slideshow it works fine. Therefore what I would like to achieve now is to call stopAutoplay() somehow before I switch to the new slides.
How can I call stopAutoplay() from the html file when I click on one of the slideshow 1 2 3 buttons?
I've tried the codes in green below but they don't work.
fadeSlideShow(); plugin pause function part:
stopAutoplay = function(){
clearInterval(intval);
intval = false;

If there is a better solution let's say to kill everything before the new slideshow appears it's even better. Although I've tried die(), empty(), detach(), remove(). I hoped remove() would help cause as I read it's suppsed to remove everything but for some reasons it doesn't...
I am creating an extension plugin to the jQuery UI Date Picker plugin mostly to just standardize the options used, as well as to add an icon to open the calendar. I am aware of the plugin's use of an icon trigger, but this will not work, as I am using an icon in my sprite image and not wanting an additional request for a mere icon.
My plugin code:
(
function
(
$
)
[Code]....
This is where it really perplexes me as this code does work to produce the calendar icon. while I could get it to work this way, it is obviously not the better choice as it should be part of the extension plugin and not get repeated in all of my various implementations of the plugin.
I'm trying to take the hex value chosen from a jQuery colorpicker plugin, and store it as a cookie using the jQuery cookie plugin. I just don't know the appropriate way to tie the two together.

Is there a way in Javascript, or perhaps in HTML, to force a browser to
