My problem is i do not know the syntax for changing the button image when on click meaning when i click on a imagefield button it will change to another imagefield button and when i click again it will change back.I know that we have to create a function something like this?I am not sure of the syntax but will learn from you expertX - what to put in here?
I have a button that needs to increase/decrease the value of a text field when clicked. This code is working in Internet Explorer and Chrome, but not Firefox.
I have a textbox thats initial text color is set to grey, I want to change the text color to black when the user clicks on it, is this done by using onclick="style=color:Black;" I have tried this and failed but maybe ive got something slightly wrong or is it done a different way completely.
I have a message system that I want to prevent double posting. So when a user sends a message i would like to disable the button. But its done using AJAX and will load without much time. But enough to cause double clicking. So now the button needs to be enabled once Text is put in the Form Field.
Now I can change the text of the h6 tag with $("#projectform form h6").html("new text for h6"); This works fine. But what I want is to change the text of the button $("#projectform form button").html("new text for button"); And this does not work. What's wrong here? Why can I change the h6 text, but not the text of the button?
I am trying to Change the text color of my buttons when they are clicked can somone tell me where to insert and what line of code needs inserted. I am very new to this, i kinda just got thrown into it at work here and am trying to make it happen Code:
I initially have some text, say some text A and a button with value "SIGN IN". When the user presses the button, I want the text to change to say some other text B a text field that was hidden to appear and the value of the button to change to "Submit". I wonder if someone could provide with me efficient and robust code (mine is neither). The properties for the text, text field and button lie in a CSS file, e.g.
how to reset both my text boxes when I click a different radio button so that I can give another value in the textbox area. I am trying to do it without a reset button. I am just confused with the process of resetting the values of both the text boxes in the code. I feel like the answer is to put it inline in the <input> tag...
This button changes the button text when clicked, but it is always calling the same function. How to make the button depending on the button text to call different functions on onclick?
[CODE] <script type = "text/javascript"> function button_switch(){
I know it's been addressed before but I don't understand how to implement it on my code.
I want the content on the div 'text' to change every time a new picture loads on the image array. So the first picture would trigger 'THIS IS IMAGE 1' on the 'text' div, while the second image would display 'THIS IS IMAGE 2' and so on.
Here is my code,
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>
When I click on a submit button it should take me to get.php but it doesn't whats wrong? <form enctype='multipart/form-data' action='' method='POST' name='form'> <div id=$counter><input type='submit' name='webpage' value='Add Webpage' onClick='return changeAction1(this);' /></div> </form> <script type="text/javascript"> function changeAction1(form){ form.action = "get.php" }function changeAction2(form){ form.action = "insert9x.php" }function changeAction3(form){ form.action = "insert8x.php" } </script>
I want to change the color of a button when it is clicked and have added this getElementById line in the function called by onclick but when I add the line the function won't run. The function also contains AJAX to change the button content but everything else is working fine as long as I don't add this line.
Code: <input type = "button" id = "alternative1" value="$alt1" onClick="changeQuestion('alternative1')"> function changeQuestion(answer)
Trying to click (onClick) an animated gif image of an on/off switch to start a second animation which is located on a different location on the web-page (a 7-frame animation of a generator with moving parts) immediately followed by a random image selection function placing an image in a 3rd location on the page (next to the generator image). The random images are supposed to look like the result of the generator animation---the item that pops out of the generator.
We thought the process to achieve this would be an OnClick on the on/off switch-animated-gif to start two javascript functions (generato animation function & random image function). To further complicate matters, we are doing this website in iWeb. Were using iWeb SEO Tool to add the javascript to the header and HTML snippet in iWeb to place the HTML code. Not sure were actually doing the snippet right though---is it supposed to relate to the images---or is it separate? When the gifs are place on the iweb page, they work in the browser upon page load---the on-click & the random image function are NOT working...so we know weve done something(s) wrong.
Were thinking that were probably missing some code that describes where the 3 different image-spots are on the page (image #1 is the on/off switch gif, image#2 is the generator gif, image#3 is the generator output.png)....or just arent coding the string of functions correctly---or maybe our strategy for achieving this is just no correct (?).Here is the code we have tried that didnt work.
[CODE] script language = JAVASCRIPT> <!-- Hide script from old browsers function gif_animation(){
I'm only new to Jquery and Ajax for that matter, understand JavaScript but don't work with it everyday. I have a function from Jcarousel that is populating a div with images (talking to a .txt file which contains the url), JavaScript then writes out the image. function getItemHTML(data){ var split = data.split(";"); var url = jQuery.trim(split[0]); var title = jQuery.trim(split[1]); var url_m = url.replace(/_s.jpg/g, '_m.jpg'); return '<a href="' + url_m + '" title="' + title + '" class="thickbox"><img src="' + url + '" width="' + 75 + ' " height="' + 75 + '" alt="' + title + '" /></a>'; };
And this is the function talking to the datasource function loadItemHandler(carousel, start, last, available){ if (available) { // Trigger loaded carousel.loaded(); return; }var cr = carousel; jQuery.get("example_dynamic_ajax.txt", function(data) { appendItemCallback(cr, start, last, data); });}; Now what I would like to do is instead of populating with images from .txt file I would like to populate with code from another .html page (a html page containing a table code). I'm just not entirely sure what object I need to use and how to go about that. Full code that I am working with is here: [URL].
I have a set of radio buttons on a webpage. Currently they all have the same name so that when one gets clicked on, the other one is no longer checked.
Now I want to dynamically change which one is checked from within a JavaScript function.
2 Questions,
1) I assume that I will need to change them so they all have seperate names right? Otherwise how else will I be able to refer to them?
2) What would be the syntax for doing this within a Javascript function? I.e. RadiobuttonName.checked="checked"?? Something like that?
I am a complete novice when it come to Javascript. I copied the script for displaying random images at a specific interval (from javascriptkit.com). I would appreciate knowing whether the following is possible:
The pages are based on tables, so the parts that change are all cells.
1. Can I define text instead of an image in the array? i.e. can I have the image change to say an apple in one cell and the next cell have text explaining what an apple is?
2. Would it be possible to put a countdown timer for when the image/text is going to change?
I'm looking for a javascript/css code that can do the following, for a click button:
- When mouse is not over the click-button, a text should be displayed at the right of the button, in a bordered textbox - 85% transparency (hardly visible)
(- when mouse hovers over the button, the button image changes to a different one <- I know how to do this)
- When the button is clicked the text shows up normaly (0% transparency)
- When clicking again the button OR anywhere else on the page, the text goes back to 85% transparency.
I have a div called pageWrap to wrap my page with the css as margin-top:-46px;
I would like to use Javascript onClick on another div. This Div is called loginButton, the onclick should change the the css of pageWrap to 0px and onclick again should change it back.
<script language="JavaScript"> var bgImage = new Array(); // don't change this bgImage[0] = "images/aboutus_1.jpg";
[code]....
this goes on, however, it does not change the background when clicking on "Welcome" or "About us" Links. Where I want "About us" to load image#0 in the index and "Welcome" to load image #1.
I'm using a simple script that moves a DIV from one location to another when the user mouses over it. The problem is, I want the user to have to click the div for it to move and then click it agin to move it back. I've been trying to find a simple solution without luck. Code:
Now, when I click on the header row, I would like to hide a column, and when I click on an image, I'd like to restore it. Ideally, I would have a function like such:
I've set up a few images to change onlick using the following code (I have the alternate images saved as jpgs in the img/ directory). There are two problems I'm having the first baffles me, after clicking one image and changing it the other images take 2 clicks before changing. The other problem is more of a curiosity, I plan to have these images work as a sort of check box for a sql database query and I'm not entirely sure my current way of doing it will allow for that.
Code: <body> <head> <script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript"> var q=0;
I am trying to create a button that when pressed changes not only the value of the button but the onclick event. I basically need the function to toggle between these two functions but I can't get it to work. The button changes value but will not update with the new onclick value.
I am building a site where I want all links to partial page reload using xmlhttprequest and innerhtml. I have done this before, butI always had to have a seperate xmlhttprequest function for each link. So this time I am trying to write just one function, and have the onClick change which document the request is getting. It is not working and I appear to novice to figure out why. Here is the code, i have bolded some relevant lines:
<script type="text/javascript"> function ChangeContent() { var whichPHP;
[Code]....
Also, if I use the innerhtml function to write another of these hrefs, will that link be able to access the function if it is in the header, or should I put the entire function in a .js file on the server? The point of all this would be that the entire page never reloads and all the text content is swapped out on demand.
The following is a very simple example of what I want to do take an elements oncontextmenu and changing it dynamically onclick of that same element. The code below will fail unless you change the line
