Change Class When Corresponding Radiobutton Is Selected?
Dec 17, 2010
I want it to be so that if you select radiobutton [0] with a particular name, ("typeradio"), then it will change the class of link [0] with a different name, ("typelink"), from "postslctbttn" to "postslctbttnon".

This is for an online quiz that collects selected answers through hidden checkboxes, and when a checkbox is selected the javascript changes the background of that selected item. However the problem is when javascript is disabled the whole thing won't work because the checkboxes have a class of .hide which, obviously, hides them and the user can't see that they've actually selected an item as the background color won't change. So I was thinking that instead the javascript could apply the class of hide to the input. That way if it's disabled the checkboxes will show.

I'm building a calendar and using a jQuery script to shift between "list view" and "calendar view". The thing is, that I would like to add a unique CSS class to the selected link, so I can make a highlight effect (or something like that) that only applies to the currently selected link. My script is:
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
//if this is not the first tab, hide it
jQuery(".tab:not(:first)").hide();
//to fix u know who

I have a thumbnail scroller using the jquery thumbnail scroller plugin, and i have added some code to make the linked larger image appear in an empty div above the scroller.
I have been trying to add a class to the selected thumbnail - which would be removed and applied to a new one upon click - however nothing i do seems to be working.
$(document).ready(function(){
$("ul#thumbnailImages li a").click(function(event) {
event.preventDefault();
var image = $(this).attr('href');

I currently have a script that dynamically adds a css class called "on" to a menu item once it is selected, turning that link red to show that it's active. Here is the web page: [URL] As you can see, if you click on "Dimmer" or "Pol Pot's Birthday", or one of the three Patriotville scene links (1, 2, or 3), those links stay red. But what I need to happen is that when the user hovers over OR clicks on "1", "2", or "3", the word "Patriotville" also turns red along with those links. Here is the current code:

/**/
var Lst;
function CngClass(obj){
if (Lst) Lst.className='';
obj.className='on';
Lst=obj;

I have a form with a list of things. The number of things in the list is variable, depending on certain factor, different things, different numbers of things. Next to each thing is a radio button.
There is a question with two radio buttons, "yes" and "no".
When "no" is selected, I want the radio buttons to be disabled, and the color of the text to change to gray.
For the radio buttons, I have a simple JS function:
javascript Code:
function enableCFFID()
{
document.cartform.cffid.disabled=false;
}
[Code].....
For the test that goes with each thing, obviously I don't want to have to assign unique ID (perhaps in a span tag that encloses the text). I would want a common name for all of them.
But this would mean I can't use getElementById.
What other method can I use to change the class for a group of span tags who's number is variable?

I've been going out of my mind trying to get this to work, and now I'm out of time! It seems like it *SHOULD* be simple! All I am trying to do is get all of the
items that belong to a particular UL ID, and change the class name onmouseover. I've cut down the code to bare-bones to try and isolate the problem. I can get it to work if I use unique IDS for each list element, but that seems silly. The latest piece of code I am working with:

var mylist=document.getElementById("mylist")
for (i=0; i<mylist.childNodes.length; i++){
if (mylist.childNodes[i].nodeName=="LI") {
mylist.onmouseover=function() {

document.getElementsName('cffidtext').class="cffidon";

This is probably really simple but I cant seem to figure it out.
Code:

[Code]....
When an image is clicked it should:
1) clear the classes of all of the images
2) assign the clicked image a class of "active"
3) I then want to show a corresponding text (which would be in the same function.

I have a table that looks like so:
Code:

7:30am

[Code]....
When I hover over a row it changes to the color I am after just fine but I want it so that if I click a row, it stays that hover color.
Is thre an easy way to accomplish this using JS on it's own or even Jquery? So if I click on a table row, it is set to the same color as the hover state. if I click on another row, it removes the old one and highlights a new one?
