I recently found a great little code that allows me to have rotating ads with links on my website. It works perfectly but I need to have four images rotating, not three and I can't work out how to do it. code...
I have a rotating picture set up on my site, and I would like to have external links connected to each of the pictures. So far, the rotating pictures work fine, but there is no link to be found. Here is my code:
<script type="text/javascript"> var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-16720691-1']);
I use the following script for my rotating images with links and would like to know if there is a way to have the links display in a new window code...
I came up with the idea of making the links in the back of the circle (i've got a total of 10 links), invisible and put a globe in the middle (as background) - making it look like the links in the back go behind the globe and comes back from behind it again. I've tried to do this myself with .this.style.invisibility="hidden";
I have a script that rotates text and I was wondering if there was a simple way to add 3 circles below the each text that is being rotated.So that the user can then click a different (empty) circle and bring up that text it references?Here is what I have:
But it have a few unnecessary features which is difficult to alter.
i want: 1. replace week/year/days in external circle with my custom text: 'My custom text' 2. I want to reduce a little rotation speed of this text. (no mouse reaction speed) 3. I do not need mouse trail effect at all, i want fix clock in required place.
There is another script, but it have no rotating text wheel around clock: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex6/analog.htm
Which from this scripts is more easy to adjust for my task and could someone show me exact code?
I'd like to have something similar to the rotating images and text on my website. The website that I would like to mimick is: http:[url]........You can see that the images move but there is still text over the image that I can click on. How would I go about doing something similar to this on my website. I'm guessing it's a combination of Javascript and CSS
I was wondering if there is any way to rotate text using JQuery function or plugin. I know how to rotate text in FF 3.5+, IE, Chrome etc. using CSS properties but it seems like it's impossible in FF < 3.5
I've got a simple javascript that rotates quotes randomly. It's very basic, so I wanted to add a fade in/ fade out transition to the text to make it more appealing. I've researched around the net and have had trouble finding sources to help me out. Here is the code.
<script language="JavaScript"> function rotateEvery(sec) { var Quotation=new Array()
// QUOTATIONS Quotation[0] = '...The big brown fox jumped over the tall fence' Quotation[1] = '...The wind is blowing cold snow across the dark black road' Quotation[2] = '...Fall has many colors and black is not one of them' Quotation[3] = '...the blue bird lives in the big red barn' Quotation[4] = '....Mr. Grant really believes that the Bull’s skills, which are widespread, are utterly godlike even though he acts like he doesn’t think so' Quotation[5] = 'Sixth quotation' Quotation[6] = 'You can add <b>as many</b> quotations <b>as you like</b>'
var which = Math.round(Math.random()*(Quotation.length - 1)); document.getElementById('textrotator').innerHTML = Quotation[which];
I'm using this simple image rotate script on my site (I think I found it on this forum), and am trying to figure out how to add a description of each picture next to the picture, or under the picture (either way would be fine).My JavaScript skills are pretty much non-existent.I've played around with this script trying to get the descriptions added and have failed miserably.The script I'm using is below:
I've got a series of photos rotating in sequence every few seconds. My page is here:

I've got one file called banner.js.js with the code shown at bottom of this post. In my main index.html file I have the few lines immediately below. How do I place a caption below images that changes for each photo? Most of the code I've seen to do this seems MUCH more complicated.
Can Jquery Detect How Many Lines of Text within a Div or A tag?
I am attempting to have different backgrounds depending on how many lines the left navigation takes up. For example if the item in the left nav only takes up one line it will have backgroundA. If the item in the left nav only takes up 2 lines it will have backgroundB etc.. Currently I have everything with backgroundA but there are a few that are taking up two lines or three lines and I can't shorten them as that is what the customer needs to have, but it looks horrible...
So can Jquery detect how many lines of text within a div or a tag and follow the css so it knows when it goes to another line and it can switch the background to something longer?
It is supposed be just 2 different lines of changing buttons. I was planning to use the "+" and "-" buttons to add/subtract button lights from a column. Unless I did something wrong, I think it should work, but it doesn't... Why?
i need to remove all lines containing text from each line in downloaded.txt from the file download.txt.So I have a function Remcon.I need Remstr = to every line of downloaded.txt , and text ill fix my self.
function remcon() { var text = document.form_rli.input_output.value;
I'm looking for a way to have a single, random line fetched from multiple text files, and then have that combination output somewhere, whether just to some field or another text file.
For example:
Text file A -
Text file B -
Text file C -
So it would go in, get a line from each, and display something like:
I know it's a weird-sounding example, but you get the point. The line choices don't have to be separated by hyphens, but they preferably would be separated by something, like a comma, semi-colon, slash, whatever.
I know this is pretty much a web coding forum, so that would be fine if I had to host it on my server or open it with a browser. But it would be optimal if this could be made into a standalone executable.
I'm basically looking for something like Random Line Picker [url], just with the added functionality I mentioned.
I'd be willing to make a little donation to someone if coding this would be a little difficult.
When I enter a text string for a document.write method it works AS LONG AS the text is all on one line. This is true in assigning a text string to a variable also. I like to write my documents so that they are readable. How do I get the text to be on multiple lines without getting the "unterminated string" error?
Does JQuery support multiple lines ellipsis for overflow text? That is, for example, Original text: This is a question about multiple lines ellipsis using JQuery Desired text: This is a question about, multiple lines ellipsis ... If yes, how to use it?
Trying to develop a small app for my site. What is the code to generate a random # of lines (1 min - 5 max) and a random phrase for each line sourced from a multidimensional array? These also need to be unduplicated (so I won't have quote 1 be on lines 1 and 4). How do I prevent random duplication with the generated lines of text?
I am using malsup's gfeed plugin with a feed on a site. The links go to an external site.How can I change the jquery of the plugin to open the links in a new window? Or how do I overwrite the "target="_self"" on links with jquery? Nothing I am trying is working. I am not new to jquery, but slow in learning.[URL]
I am a complete novice when it come to Javascript. I copied the script for displaying random images at a specific interval (from javascriptkit.com). I would appreciate knowing whether the following is possible:
The pages are based on tables, so the parts that change are all cells.
1. Can I define text instead of an image in the array? i.e. can I have the image change to say an apple in one cell and the next cell have text explaining what an apple is?
2. Would it be possible to put a countdown timer for when the image/text is going to change?
How would I seperate a text string such that it would appear on seperate lines ie. Initial Input: StrMsg = "This is an example of a string that will appear on seperate lines" "Hoping that this fully works, there will be no errors and all will be well" "This is the last line of text."
Im looking to have a list of text/links, where once clicked are entered into a text box on the same page... and when a second is clicked - it is appended onto the text that is already in the text box - and so on...
I want to use a text link to submit a form and get the POST values instead of an ugly submit button which is difficult to style. I thought it would be simple but I can't do it - whats the problem with this .js?
The problem is I can't get the $_POST variables to perform some conditional logic. I want the user to answer a question submit the form to itself and test the result.
I can do this fine with a submit button but a text link styled as a button looks much better. Do I have to use ajax() function or something to send the from variables to a PHP script?
