Push() With A 2d Array?

May 28, 2007

I have a 2d array that I created like such:

var images = new Array(50);
for(var i=0;i<=51;i++)
{
images[i]=new Array(2);
}

Now I would like to push values into this array, but I can't get the proper syntax to work. How would I for example convert these statements:

JavaScript Code:
images[1][0]='a'
images[1][1]='b'
images[1][2]='c'

into a push statement (regardless of position pushed into array)?

Array Using Push And Pop ?

Dec 17, 2010

I have an array question. I think that you'll have to run the script in your browser to see the results. The below array separates ages but I get stuck on how it does this when I get to line 6 and beyond. Line six reads "if (tempAge <21) minors.push(tempAge);"

I only understand that the pop method takes the number 19 off of the ages array. So if this is so then I think that line 6 reads that if 19 is equal to or less than 21 do something, but I don't know what it does after that, please help me understand how it works.

Push Values From One Array To Another?

Mar 29, 2011

Let's say i have two arrays:

var array1 = ["1","2","3"];

var finalArray = [];

and I want to dump the values of array1 into finalArray several times to end up with the value of finalArray being:

"1","2","3","1","2","3","1","2","3"

What would be the easiest way to dump the values into the other without making it multidimensional?

Array.prototype.push = Function() {

May 7, 2007

I found this code on Internet:

<script type="text/javascript">

Array.prototype.push = function() {
var n = this.length >>> 0;
for (var i = 0; i < arguments.length; i++) {
this[n] = arguments[i];
n = n + 1 >>> 0;
}
this.length = n;
return n;
};

</script>

Question 1: How to call this function?
Question 2: When I delete >>> 0, what I lose? ( >>>0 &#305; sildi&#287;im zaman, ne kaybederim?)

Array.Push Stopping Conditional Code

Nov 12, 2009

I am basically just practicing with javascript (Just started a few days ago) and wanted to create an array that pretty much checked a form for errors, listed errors, then spewed them out in the end. I am sure there is source code for something like this, but I wanted to just do this out of practice, as I have done this before in PHP. I am basically making a function with a bunch of if statements and if any of them pop up I try to PUSH a string into the array. Now, it has worked, somewhat and sometimes. But then it just plain stopped working. I played with the code for a while, placing alerts in parts of the function and found that it WAS the push code that stopped it from running completely.

Index Of An Array Entry

I'm refering to an entry in an array by it's string key, as in

without iterating through the entire array?

What I need to do is find the "next" or "previous" entry in the array,
but the keys are strings, instead of numerical indeces.

For the above piece of code, does the function 'function initArray()' just predefine the array that is written right after so that it's first array index starts at 1 instead of 0?

Get The Index Of An Array From A Partial Search?

Apr 8, 2009

I have an array in which each element is a long string of various values separated by a particular character.I want to be able to search the array using the first value of each element to get the index.I cannot see how to do this so I have started to create a function for this.I want to take the original array, split out the value into another array and search the new array.I can then use the index returned to retrieve the full string from the original array.However I am having a problem when trying to set the new array and I do not know enough JS to understand what is going wrong.Here is the code:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
var test= new array();[code].......

I am getting the correct result in "title".I have tried setting "test[0]=title;" with an if on the first pass and then using ".push" but to no good effect.if there is a better way to achieve my objective or is this a reasonable solution

Inserting Custom Array Into FullCalendar

Nov 1, 2011

I have the following array that contain the people who are on off on certain time:

var all = [
["1234", "Jim", "2011-10-23 00:00:00", "2011-10-25 07:00:00"],
["1235", "Jack", "2011-10-21 00:00:00", "2011-10-21 08:00:00"],
["1236", "Jane", "2011-10-11 00:00:00", "2011-10-11 00:30:00"],
["1237", "June", "2011-10-20 00:00:00", "2011-10-20 12:00:00"],
["1238", "Jill", "2011-10-14 00:00:00", "2011-10-14 11:00:00"],
["1239", "John", "2011-10-16 00:00:00", "2011-10-16 10:30:00"],
["1240", "Jacab", "2011-10-19 00:00:00", "2011-10-20 08:30:00"]
];

The above array, I wish to use javascript to insert into the FullCalendar [URL]. I notice that the only way seems to be using the FullCalendar array style (or structure) as follows:
$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
events: [{
title : 'event1',
start : '2010-01-01'
},
{
title : 'event2',
start : '2010-01-05',
end : '2010-01-07'
},
{
title : 'event3',
start : '2010-01-09 12:30:00',
allDay : false // will make the time show
}]});

So, the question is: How do I insert my array to match with the FullCalendar array? : cause FullCalendar array had a different array structure from my array - and I don't think so that I can write in this way:
$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
events:all
});

Class Array In Custom Object Not Working?

Jan 19, 2010

Thus, the line of code to add a new element to the array is within the Element object's constructor function. However, the browser just gives me an error "object expected on line 9", the line of code trying to add an element to the array.

Are arrays not functional within objects? Or, is it that the array is made as a class variable?

// INITIALIZATIONS
