Possible That Using Injection The Contents Of A Webpage Can Be Altered (add / Edit / Deleted) In Line Of Code?

Jun 6, 2009

i want to ask that is it possible that using javascript injection the contents of a web page can be altered (add / edit / deleted) in Line of Code.Since, this has happened with me couple of times,talking to the support team at my hosting provider, they say that its due to the security holes in the Coding, but i think that its the security issue at the hosting side (since modifying the web pages code)i've found this code immediately after the opening of the body tagearlier the page snoofing for the above URL was working, but now its not producing the output. (so can not post whats inside it).My Another website (hosted by the same provider) is also infected. there the code immediately after the body tag is again the page snoofing yeilds no output with the error

Deleted A Section Of Code In The JS File, Yet It's Still Appearing In The Browser, Both IE And FF?

Nov 3, 2011

I have an Extjs web app that's running on a spring/rest backend & I'm having a really strange caching issue with my web app's javascript files & no-one seems to be able to tell what it is.The issue is that I have deleted a section of code in the JS file, yet it's still appearing in the browser, both IE and FF.

Manually remove & re-add the file

Rollback the file to a previous version

Remove the file from the index.html and re-add it

Clear all cache in FF & IE

Disable firebug

Check the script is updated by manually accessing the file via the application URL & Firebug Script tab

Renaming the JS file

Renaming the index.html file

I'm at a loss as to what could be causing it.

Generate Table From Which Can Easily Edit Contents Of A MySQL Database

Jul 30, 2009

I would like to be able to generate a table from which I can easily edit the contents of a mySQL database (similar to phpMyAdmin.) In that table I would like to have a button that will open a pop-up, allowing me to edit - and maintain formatting such as apostrophes and line breaks - a long description field. That popup will then populate a hidden input field on its parent with the modified description.

I've got the pop-up opening and its fields are populated using php's GET function (see line 11). The special characters, particularly carriage returns, are messing me up; I can remove them using php's str_replace, but I want to retain them for formatting.

Client Side, Save Contents Of Form On New Line In .txt File?

Apr 8, 2010

On a client side HTML form, on hitting submit, I would like the data entered in the the form to be saved on the next available line within a .txt file.

For example, a basic HTML Form filled in as follows:

Name: Haze
Age: 400
Info: Hello World!

... on clicking 'Submit', the information would be saved to 'form.txt' on a new line, simply seperated by commas would be fine, example:

Haze, 400, Hello World!

If possible, the date and time the info was saved would really be great as well, example:

01/01/2010 9:41: Haze, 400, Hello World!

I might I cannot find anything on the internet for doing this client side.

I don't know if someone of you could understand me. It's like Page on TOP of another Webpage without leaving the 1st page.

Edit CSS From External Code?

Jan 18, 2010

I'm wrestling with this bit of code that almost works but does not. I'm only guess is that I need to find a way to edit the actual CSS document from the outside... which I'm assuming isn't possible. Is it? I've got a basic CSS Rollover effect going on. The kind that changes the background-position on hover. However I've defined the actual background image with PHP (a custom field in Wordpress) as a style="..." in the <a> tag. When I define the background-image in the CSS it works! When I define the background-image as a style="..." it does not work. Can I use javascript or something to edit the actual CSS document?

JQuery :: Line Break In Html/css Code?

Jul 20, 2010

When I want to handle html/css code in js/jquery it seems that line breaks aren't allowed. This of course makes the code less readable. Is there a workaround to this or is it simply to accept?This doesn't work:

$("head").append("<style type='text/css'>
#table {table-layout: fixed;width:650px;text-align: left;border-collapse: collapse;}
</style>");

This works:

$("head").append("<style type='text/css'>#table {table-layout: fixed;width:650px;text-align: left;border-collapse: collapse;}</style>");

How To Change Line Of Code Using Regular Expression

Aug 19, 2009

I'm trying to convert a line using a regular expression. The re I am using is this:
<div><span><span>[s*]</span></span>([^<]*)</div>
I'm using the expression in the replace function like this:
html = html.replace( /<div><span><span>[s*]</span></span>([^<]*)</div>/gi,'<li>$1</li>') ;
The line of code I am changing is like this:
<div><span><span> </span></span>Illness - where a pupil is too ill to leave the house</div>
E.g. it should strip out the code and leave <li>Illness - where a pupil is too ill to leave the house</li>. It works fine here [URL] but when used with the replace command it does not? (I'm trying to convert bullet points from word).
