Opening A New Window With HTML Code Instead Of File
Aug 22, 2005
I have a JS which I have already started to try to customise, but I am having some difficulty with it in that when I click on an image, it does not take me to my html page.with care.html. Although all files are in the same folder, I get an error indicating that the fille cannot be found (I have checked the file name spelling). I am not doing any of this online as the Web pages, when working, will be put on CDs.
I am trying to write code a page which will randomly generate links to sound files. I want the user to be able to click on the link and then hear the sound file without a separate window opening up, or the page changing. The following code generates the links correctly, and some of the code allows files to be played in the same window. But only when the file is specified i.e. not randomly generated. I can't figure out how to combine the two things i.e. generating links randomly, and playing the file in the same window.
I have a HTML and I am opening another link in a separate window using window.open() . The child window is something like 'http://yahoo.com' which is out side html. I need to refresh the parent window when the child window is closed.
I'm new to js/jquery and this forum so please forgive my potentially off-scope js/jquery remarks. I've been running a lot of toggles to show, hide, etc... divs and other HTML elements. It's making my application incredibly nice navigation wise.
Now to put myself in my users shoes. Say one user toggles on and off the things they want and don't want until they are satisfied with all the content of the screen. (That is by the way the nature of my application. A user loads in various variables via PHP and other means and when satisfied, a PDF is generated for them containing all their preferred content.)
Because: When a user is at a point where all the content they are viewing is worthy of a PDF, it is also worth saving that HTML 'view' (classes switched, variable adjusted, etc...). I would call it 'Save this workspace' or something along those lines.
I don't have a direct question per se but am more interested in the views of others who have similar thoughts and moreover, what relationship has jQuery had in helping employing some method?
I am creating a html table in JSP file . I need code for 'Cut,Copy,Paste' functions ie. if someone wants to copy data from my table to excel file or from excel file to html table he shud be able to do that.
I have been working on this and cant figure it out.I have an index.html as my main file and I wanted to have a pop-up window that will also open together with the index file. the pop-up window is a notepad like type, file name is clipboard.html.Addon: i started adding code to have the pop-up to stay on the right side of the screen and always on top.
code to show ( overlay / modal window ) to the user when closing or navigating away from the page ( i want put in this window facebook share to make the user to share the page in his facebook ) , bytheway i wanna use it in my wordpress in every post could it be happen ?
I have a site where one of the links I have set up to open a pop up window which will display Terms & Agreement information, at the bottom there is a check box and a submit button for users to click on if they agree to the terms. I was able to get that working but the thing is when the user clicks in the check box and hits submit I want them to be directed to a page which has a form on it but I wanted the page to open in the original (Parent) window. This is where I am lost cause I found some coding which will open the page with the form in the pop up window but Ideally once they agree to terms and hit submit I'd like the pop up window to disappear and the new page open in the Parent window... is this possible below is the coding I'm using.
Here is the form:
<form method="get" action="this is where my link will go" onsubmit="return yes_no(this.form) " name="Agree"> <INPUT name="agree" name="agree" value="agree" type="checkbox"> I agree to terms <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Accept Terms">
i want to open a file in a text area, such that the user can either browse for a file and when selected it will open in a text box on the page, or the user can select a file from a list of active links on the page and this will open in the text area.
I am new to java and dont know where to start on this, i have been browsing resources on the internet but have not found anything to get me started, would anybody be able to help?
I have a form on a page and when the form is submitted it should open a new window and post the content to it.
When the script being posted to is a html page, then this works fine, but when the script being posted to produces an svg graphic, then there is no 'view source'. Its almost as though the opened page headers are already set for html and doesn't like the svg xml schema.
