Make Spry Menu Drop Down From A Mouse Click, Not Rolled Over?
Apr 24, 2009
Is there a way to make a spry horizontal menu panel drop down after being clicked, instead of rolled over? I have tried modifying lines 142-143, 364-366, and 470 of my js code, with no success. I attached my code in a Word file in order to highlight code changes I made to make them easier to find. I kept the original code, just commented them out.
Second Question: For some reason, the menu is appearing behind a table row when it expands, thus hiding a good portion of the menu. Here it is: [URL]
Try clicking on 'Products & Services', and then clicking on "Centerfire Rifle Suppressors" from the dropdown menu. When it takes you to that category page, click the menu again and you will see that the menu hides behind the <h1> table row.
That made me wonder that for a funcitonality like a Drop down is so complex?
Here's the page I'm having a bit of trouble with: [url]
If you look at the long button marked 'Diagnostics', you'll see it has an arrow and initiates a drop-down menu on mouse-over. My problem is that I wish to further subdivide the three items on the sub-menu, ie, Visual to become sub-menued into Dermatoscope and Penlight. In other words, the Visual button initiates another drop-down menu on mouse-over.
I have several issues with my multilevel drop down menu The First issue is : the page has 2 iframes (one has the horizontal multilevel drop down menu on the top) the below iframe has my site address Now, when i hover over the menu it does not open or expand but when i open just the menu without any iframes it does This clearly means that the menu is not coming out of the iframe bring it on top of everything of the page Note: i have placed the menu in one iframe and a page opens below it in another iframe. The Second issue is : I want the navigation bar that is the multilevel drop down menu to be editable Which means i have a blog and a forum on my site but my visitor wants that the blog should not appear there and another link to play games should
be there and hence he/she can edit it And please also try to make it work on cookies so that the user info and preferences are saved in cookies and whenever he/she comes back they see the page their way. For you: I would like to tell you that IdeaLab has launched a Twitter Advertising, Widget and Search platform and the first 1000 people are getting $100 go to tweetup.com
My problem is I had a drop down menu for a horizonal menu bar but the drop down items are about 4 items long . It works fine for first menu item, but the second one is positioned beneath the first one because it can't fit it's menu on the same line as the previous one.
I have set the submenus to hidden meaning they are there which is why they are taking up the space the other item needs to use when it's menu item is rolled over.
Is there a way to set items so they are invisible but not taking up room when invisible?
Okay, I've been searching through here for a day, but haven't quite found what I need. I'm rebuilding my client's site to update the code and get it off of Yahoo's CMS.My rebuilt siteis nearly complete, except the navigation. I want to keep the function that each menu requires a click to open, not just a hover. Unfortunately, the rebuilt site's menu doesn't function and it'll require absolute links to work in the various root and sub folders. This is one suggestion I found in the archives here, expand5.htm, but it doesn't quite look like what I need.I have other sites that are for persons with disabilities that this could be useful for, so I need to be able to reproduce the results.
I have created this Spry Tabbed Panels, this is just an example to help explain what I'm trying to do.Is it possible, or is there a way to make the Spry Tab Panels open from one Tab to the other on page load, like automatically.Lets say the Tab open from 1, 2, 3, 4 and then to 4,3,2,1.URL...
I developed a dropdown menu using Spry (Adobe Dreamweaver). It is a vertical menu with multiple sub-menus.Some lists are very long and the menu goes below and off the page.I found a great example of what I want my menu to do: Coins Paper Money | eBayOn the side, it says "Browse By:" and there is a vertical menu. If I shrink the page up vertically a little and watch the sub-menus pop out, I notice they get pushed up if the parent is close to the bottom of the screen, which ensures that none of the options go off the page, they get pushed up.
I'm trying to make a spry menu bar for a website. It looks great in DW CS3, and when I preview it in different browsers, it works. However, once uploaded, when I look on the web, it's displaying in outline form rather than a menu. Why is that and how could it be fixed?URL...
Is there a trigger in JQuery that occurs when the user either:1 - clicks the left mouse button and moves the mouse upOR2 - clicks the left mouse button and moves the mouse down?mouseup() and mousedown() are only for clicking the button. I need a trigger that includes both the left mouse click and movement of the mouse up or down occurring simutaneously
I am in the process of developing a website. I would like to use some images. The image should zoom on mouse over and mouse click i.e the image should zoom to h:100*W:100 on mouse over and on mouse click it should be zoomed to h:1000*w:1000. Also I would like to change the mouse over image and mouse click image before zooming.
