I've got the following problem: I have a Jquery slider and I want to disable the click on the slider. I only want to change the slider when I click and drag the pointer. Standard you can also click everywhere on the slider and the pointer will go to that point. That I don't want. .
Query :1. How to enable & disable jquery Drag effect on click of a button?I am using this :-----> $("#image_to_map").draggable(); to applythe drag effect.
I've designed a website and I would like to add 2 pages by clicking on the displayed headers.
you can see the site here: [url]
The colored block are now selected and the images is loaded when you click on the text, but I would like to redirect to a page instead of selecting the image.
The <li> code from my slider is:
Does anyone know which function I have to change to go to a link like shown above instead of selecting the slide?
And my .js code for the slider:
It's probably only a function which have to be changed, but I can't figure out which one.
I would like to know which plugin can help me achieve an animation of frames like the one seen on [URL]where you can click and drag the ipad to see it's cover functionality). I don't need the click and drag, just the animation, as I would set it on an auto animation.
I had an interesting idea recently to implement on my dynamic site.
I would like to have the users be able to click on object 1 and drag it overtop of object 2. Object 1 and object 2 should be div tags so that they could go around anything. When the user starts to drag object 1, a parcially transparent object 1 appears wherever the mouse goes (we will call this object 3) and the original object 1 disappears. After the user lets go of object 1 ontop of object 2, object 3 disappears and a javascript occurs (i will add this to the script later). If object 1 is let go not ontop of object 2 then the original object 1 reappears where it used to be and object 3 disappears.
Also, while all this clicking and draging is going on the user should be able to click and drag to scroll the page.
Unfortunately i have no idea how to do any of this. If anyone could help me with this it would be appreciated. This is kind of what you can do to files and folders in Windows XP.
There seems to be a lot out there, but I haven't found a javascript for a click and drag that has been bug free. The last one I had didn't work in Safari.
I would like to simplify some of my jquery code.I have multiple add functions:
Code:
<table1> <form> <input type="text" name="title">
[code]...
With this when you click the first one it works but not the second.I worked my way around this but I had to increment add like add1 add2 add3. Now this creates alot of code in my javascript and html.
I want to create a sort of pseudo click event, that is needed to launch a slideshow.when the page loads it would fire off a function that creates a clicks event, as if the user has clicked on an element, when in fact that they had not. i saw in the jquery documentation with the click function, you could click on one thing and then another click event would be created via another element.that's close to what i'm trying to
Below is my script. This will let me click and drag an item on my site. I need the image to not only do this, but also snap to a specific location. There will be approx. 30 items that will be snapping to the same location.
i have a requirement in which i want to use click event to set some value into a jsp session object.
now from what i have tested, this seems to be logically very wrong, but the fact is that i want this thing to work somehow as there are no alternative for me in this case.
here is the code which i am trying.
$(document).ready( function() { var key = 'false'; // initial value
[Code].....
i know that this question might come into the category of absurd questions, but can anyone point out some logic for something similar, i have a jsp page and i want to set these values in the session based on the button click.
I think I need to learn some AJAX and I don't really want to buy a book that I'm probably not going to read. Any suggestions for good AJAX tutorials online.
I want to make a loading effect (similiar to lightbox but with loading animation gif) while loading an image and remove the loading effect after image has been sucessfully loaded.
I have been studying Javascript for a couple of months now, but have kind of come to a dead end in terms of in what instances will I need to apply JS to websites and can anyone recommend any Q and A style tutorials, to test myself,My current knowledge (which is very basic) so far contains being able to:
Write a prompt Write a confirm write a basic for loop write a basic while loop write an array
Any guidance on scenarios to use to demo JS or a good tutorial website for real world scenarios,
I have a form with two slider on it so the user can select an amount. The slider works fine and passes the values to email ok etc. but when the page is loaded there is "[object Object]" in box of the second slider. I can't find the problem with the code as it is the same for the first slider.
1.I found a Slider Toggle thats demonstrated here [URL] and it seems to work fine but only if the link is placed above the div that slides down.. im trying to make the div slide down from above my menu and i want 1 of the links on my menu to toggle the slider. how do i get it work to where I can place the link below the sliding div? 2. the script originally used .fader{opacity:0;display:none;} but I wanted the slider div to be visible if javascript was disabled so I added
jQuery(".fader").hide(); so its now <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { jQuery(".fader").hide(); $(".fadeNext").click(function(){ $(this).next().fadeSliderToggle() [Code]...
I have to change the slider color depending on its value, but I didn't manage to do it, I changed the attribute "background" of the class "ui-slider-range" this way : $("#slider.ui-slider-range").css("background","red"); Since I have three states (red, orange and green) I have to use three sliders, each one has one color, all hidden at the beginning then I show the appropriate slider when the value changes.
I have a php code that creates a select combo box depending on some values stored in a database and I am trying to make it look nicer I found the jquery slider I found this but it does not work in the environment I am working (joomla) well, it does but it disappears as soon as I move the slider. so if I had
I have 3 button controls on my asp.net web page. This r html controls one of them I have set to default on form load. Using javascript how do I set the other 2 button to be clicked when it has focus & enter key is pressed.
I cant really figure this out, the only thing i could see messing it up is the javascript:void(0) inside the anchor link but since there is a double click function and a click, it should only be one click.I put autoOpen which i think is also causing it, but i did that so theuser can open it, close it, and open it again so the delay "double click" is saying for the first time initialize and then the second click is opening?? if so how do i get around this?
HERE IS MY JQUERY $(document).ready(function(){ $("#pro_edit_profile").hide();[code]....
There is a checkbox on a form page, when you check it, a div will become visible with some extra inputs needed for that situation. To simulate this click on the checkbox external, I use click(). With jquery files 1.4 and lower this works properly and like expected. When using jquery library 1.4.1 or higher, something does not seem to work properly. Sooooo, the code:
Somehow I managed to get this thing 'sort of' working with 1.4.1 or higher. But the code to accomplish this is absurd. See functioncheckTheBox4Plus() on line 8. It works :) but shouldn't.. Or is it the other way around?
I am trying to make a sort of scrollable area, using a div that you are supposed to be able to drag, and an area that reacts to it. The problem is, it only reacts to click events. When I drag, it does not respond.
Here is the jquery code:
jQuery(document).ready(function(){ var numImg = $('.image').length; $('#imageContainer').width(numImg*206+40);
