I have extremely text intensive web pages. A search engine can find the page but then my users have to search for the word using Ctrl+F. Google can highlight the found terms on the page but google does not index every page on my sites.
I need a way to highlight found words on my web pages by using an input box at the top of the page. The user will type in a word to find and the script will highlight all the found words on a page.
Here is code that is supposed to work to find an individual word but not all words. The code does not work for me.
I have a button at the bottom of the page and when i click on it, the page goes to the top.I want the page to stay at the bottom.I tried to use window.scrollTo(0,1200); which works only for a quick second and then continues to go to the top.I found the link, but nobody ansewered at the end: with subject: Scroll down after onclick event So, how can i set the scroll bar to stay at the bottom?
I am having a problem with a site I am working on right [URL]..clicking on the "Kontaktieren Sie uns"-Link it triggers an unwanted scroll in the slider just underneath it. I am also getting a java script error when I view the site on ie/windows. I am clueless since I am not at all confident with java script.
The browser should then read from the changed textfile the next time the site is refreshed and it should therefore be permanent. Is this at all possible? If so, how do I update the textfile?
What I need to do is get the state of a checkbox on pageload and store it in a JS variable, but I want it stored permanently so if I change the value of the form element I still have the state of the checkbox as it was on the page load.
jQuery - Scrolling browser Window. I have two demos of scrolling page content with jQuery.
This one - [url] is scrolling the contents inside a container and it works as I wanted on Mac/PC
I need the same effect as above but I need to scroll the whole browser window.
I have a demo here - [url]
Problem here is on the Mac the transition are jumpy and it seems to flash the first yellow div before sliding up or down. Testing on a PC it will slide down but won't slide up. How can I get the whole browser window to slide up and down with a smooth transition.
im searching for a plugin/code example for text scrolling. I got some text in a <div> if text is longer than for example 300px it gets cut and is scrolling from start to end, stops for a second and then scrolls back, stops and all over, and if its not long enough than 300px then just displays normaly. Something similar to the Song name scrolling inin anyMP3 player.
I have a page that submits to a db then re-loads its self with new information. Unfortunately it goes wrong when the user double clicks on a one of many text links that provides the info for the display on reload. How do I stop users from double clicking on the page? Ideally I think I would like to call some sort of js function from body onload as I presume this would then cover the whole of the page, but have no idea if this is possible or how to go about writing it.
