Function Change() - On Link Click, Image Changes From One To Another.?
Mar 6, 2009
I found it difficult trying to put a short and concise title for you all to understand.My problem: Basically, I have an image (its a + sign), when clicked I need this + to change to a -. When clicked again, it needs to return to being a +.Below is the current code I am using:
<script type="text/javascript">
imgs=Array("positive.PNG","negative.PNG");
var x=0;[code]....
This code works fine if I just have one instance of it. But If I want multiple ones, one stops working and the other functions instead.
I tried the following:
I wrote a function, to change a input value to show a key, which PHP later recognizes and makes addition changes too. However I can't seem to get this simple function to work, can you see anything wrong with it?
function quote(id) { var shout = document.getElementById('shout'); var currentShout = '; '.shout.value; var prefix = '@'.id;
I've got 2 scripts for my website. The first is an AJAX script which loads the different pages when the links are clicked. The second scriptfades content in and out on the home page when another set of links are in.
I'm struggling to change the color of both sets of links when they're clicked.
Here's the code:
$(document).ready(function() { //AJAX: loading contens of pages var hash = window.location.hash.substr(1); var href = $('#nav li a').each(function(){
Lets say I have a bunch of links with the same class but different anchor text like [code] When the page loads I want the anchor text of each link to display the same text of my choosing. However, when the visitor clicks a link the anchor changes back to the orignial. It would be best if all links could be changed back their original if any link is clicked but this isn't necessary.
I have a page which is a large graphic sliced up into various pieces for better loading. It's a drawing of a bedroom and I need to have it set up so that when a user clicks on a link that is mapped to a frame hanging on the wall, it opens the doors of a cupboard. The photoframe and the cupboard are in different images.
I thought of using a Javascript image rollover but I can't see how that can be used to change a different image rather than the image that has the link in it.
I've done a little Javascript editing. Am happy to upload the code and images to the web if required.
I'm trying to create a function that clicks a link when called. Its working in IE 7 but not in Firefox/Safari. here is the function:
Code: function open_greybox() { document.getElementById("grey_link").click(); }
The error console for firefox is telling me: Error: this.document.getElementById("grey_link").click is not a function Does firefox not support "click()"? Is there a workaround? A hidden link has to be clicked by javascript when the function is called (from a flash movie).
I read some other threads regarding how to toggle an image but I was having a hard time understanding. I have a bunch of images on my page, each links to a different lytebox presentation when you click on them. I'd like to have the clickable image change to another image to indicate to the user that they have viewed that presentation. I was hoping there was a way to switch to the new image permanently rather than just toggling back and forth between the two images if they click on the presentation more than once.
I have created a site http:[url].... and there is an image on the page which I want to change if a user clicks on a link. I am not sure if javascript is the best way to do this but thought i would give it a go. The image is currently set in the css so I think i will need to change this to use js?
I have a page which has four images on it, one large with three below.I basically just need a piece of script which changes the large image to whichever small one is clicked.I don't think it should be that hard, but I don't really know much javascript so pretty unsure.
When I hover back and forth over a link in one area of a page, the background-image of a div in another part of the page needs to change back and forth. I have been trying all sorts of things in jquery with no results!
Here's the jquery script... Code: $function() { $("#about-lifebook").hover(over,out); function over (event) { $(.spacer-bg-off).css("background", "url(images/spacer-content-bg.png)"); } function out (event) { $(.spacer-bg-off).css("background", "none"); });
The link's id is "about-lifebook" and the div in question has a class of "spacer-bg-off". This ain't working at all. I just read this off of the jquery website: "The .hover() method binds handlers for both mouseenter and mouseleave events. We can use it to simply apply behavior to an element during the time the mouse is within the element." So perhaps the behavior has to be applied to the element being hovered over? How can I change the css of one element while hovering over another one?
I am working on a explorer like tree in a php script. I have the standard + - in a box pics. How to I have the + pic change to the - pic when clicked. Also, how do I get it to change back when another + pic is chosen?
I have pool of images in a folder and I want to display one by default. When image is click, It will cycle through all the images in the folder one at a time everytime it is clicked.
The problem is that I want the images to only advance in the proper order. For example, if "Image2.jpg" is currently displayed, I want to make it so that only clicking on "Link 3" will advance it to "Image3.jpg" while the other links are still there but do nothing if you click on them.
Here is an example of what is done so far: [URL]. When you mouse over the b&w images you will see the image change to color. When you mouse over the links on the left they will have a rollover and also change the image on the right to color.
What I would also like is mouseover the image to change the rollover state of the link on the left. Here is my code so far.. PHP Code: <style type="text/css"><!--/* ================================= *//* ====== Subject Matter Rollovers ====== */#menuButton1{height: 41px;width: 133px; overflow: hidden;background: url(images/content/buttons/subjectmatter.png) top left no-repeat; display: block;text-decoration:none;line-height:2.5em;color:#000000;} #menuButton1:hover{color:#FFFF00;
I thought the following might work (2nd image) Code: document.getElementById('link2').class='menu_hover'; But as you see no it does not.
I am creating a firefox extension, and I wish to change the image of the cursor upon click of a button. Firefox has setCursor() but it does nto inherit the browser element.
Is there a way I can change the cursor, that will appear on the web page?
im trying to make it so that when clicking thumbnails it will change the full screen background to its respective picture along with continuing its automatic slideshow
www.petpawfurry.com is the website in which im working on.
also, is there anyway to make the slider, slide to the right, instead of fading in and out?
I'm trying to make buttons that change from one color to another when you click them and change back when you click them a third time. I wrote this page (http://cf.lehigh.edu/ems/test.html) but it only works on Firefox(Not IE or Chome, untested on safari or Opera). I'm using javascript to change the button colors. Is there another way to do this that works universal or another tool such as CSS?
