Create A Form With Radio Buttons When An Option Is Selected And Submitted It Comes Up With A Message
Nov 26, 2011
I am trying to create a form with radio buttons, when an option is selected and submitted it comes up with a message but i cant get it working. If the first radio button is selected I want the message class 1 and if the second class 2 etc
I am trying to make an option calculator for my site. The user will click on various radio buttons and checkboxes, before pressing the calculate button. The button will then add up all the values to show the overall figure. The code shown below is what I have so far.
Code: function calcMe(){ for (var i=0; i < document.form.radio.length; i++){ if (document.form.radio[i].checked){ var rad_val = document.form.radio[i].value; }} if (document.form.radio1.checked) { document.form.result.value = rad_val; } if (document.form.radio2.checked) { .....
The first javascript is to show the value of the radio button with the textfield attached - when the user puts a number in the textfield, it will update the value of the radio button. The second javascript is to check the document for the clicked radio buttons and checkboxes. It then adds up all the clicked values to show the answer. The problem that I am having is to put these two javascripts together so as the radio button is updated with the text field value as well as adding up all the clicked values.
I'm trying to create a questionnaire style series of radio buttons which are hidden and then a different set of radio buttons displayed depending on the previous answer. eg
Q1 Is it a man? (if select yes then display)
Q2 Is he called John? (if no then display)
Q3 Is he called Gary? and so on...
I've been testing using the code below but wondered if anyone had any ideas on how this could be done easily?
I have 3 radio buttons with the same name ("myradio"). The value of each is a different URL (eg. value="http:[url]...)I have a link underneath these (<a href="#">Send</a>). I would like the selected radio button's value to be inserted into the href of the link, and if the user selects a different radio button that this changes.
what i need to do to add all the radio botton and check box. i already finish the add formula on the checkbox but i do not know how to add the two selected radio buttons to my checkbox buttons.for example:
I have 3 options in my dropdown box. In the onchange event of the dropdown, i am submitting the form.User selects a value in the dropdown and when the form gets submitted, the selected data in the dropdown is not getting retained, it is always going to first one. How to set the selected data in the dropdown after the page is reloaded?Below is the code i have used.
The code I wrote is showing three random results from the database and each result gets three options to choose from (spoon, fork, knife). What I need to figure out is a way to make sure each image thats showing up gets one vote - and the person cannot vote on the same answer for pic2 and pic3 (ie: if they vote "spoon" for pic1, I need it to give a "please vote again" message if they click the same answer for pic2 or pic3).
I cant seem to get this submitForm Validator to work. It needs to see if one of the two radio buttons are selected. I just cant seem to get it to work, anyone know whats wrong?
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>Concert</title> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> [Code]...
show a div when 3 "Yes" radio buttons are clicked. Heres my code:
[Code]....
If you answered YES to 3 or more of the above questions you may have Sleep Apnea - a potentially serious breathing disorder that can lead to heart attack, stroke, or high blood pressure in later life.
I'm trying to figure out how I can have a script add up the number of radio buttons selected for each category. For example, on a test, I'll have three options for each question. I want to add up how many A's are selected, how many B's are selected and how many C's are selected for each question.
I'm not very learned in Javascript, but I know I can use it to accomplish this. I searched Google and found a script that would do this with TWO options, but I need it done with THREE, and cannot figure out how to change the code . Here's the script I found:
and now I need to de-select the radio buttons after it has been selected. I've looked around and can't seem to find a way. Only other way I could figure is to refresh the page but if I do that I loose all my variables. It's not at all finished yet, but if you want to see what I've done so far: javascript currency ranking I'm liking Javascript much more, it's not as difficult as I thought it was.
I have a radio group that, when a certain option is selected, it makes the radio group disappear and a textbox appear. It works great in Firefox, but it appears to be glitchy in IE.
<script type="text/javascript"> function showRestaurantTextBox() {
I'm a just wondering about something that might be quite simple but I'm not sure how to achieve it.
<form>
That's the code for my form. Two radio boxes one called car and one called bus. I'm not so much bothered about the contents of what is selected, just that if car or bus (or both) is selected.
I have two buttons:
If I choose a car such as Ford, I want the car one to be changed to
I also want the submit button to be 'greyed out' until both of them have been submitted which looks like this.
I have a form that will dynamically place a number of radio button groups on the page. I don't want the user to be able to submit the form until a value has been chosen for ALL fields. I have hidden the submit button with the though of showing it again once ALL fields have been checked. My code so far...
$(document).ready(function () { //Hide the submit button $('#MainContent_sbmtButton').hide(); //Change background of question to show clearly which questions have been answered
[code]....
This doesn't work as expected. It shows the submit button when any of the radio buttons are clicked.
I'm making a javascript game for a digital media class and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to code this. The idea is that there's three similar images, one that's different and the user must select the image that's different by selecting the radio button below it and pressing the Submit button.
So in the if/else statement, I want it to be programmed so that if the correct answer is selected and then submitted, it will take you to another webpage. If an incorrect answer is selected, I want an alert to pop up and say Sorry, that's Incorrect. Here's the coding I have so far, none of which is working.
<script type="text/javascript"> function processAnswer() { for (i = 0; i <= 3; i++)
so basically this is what I have its 2 sets of radio buttons named budget, premier and superior which values are $2,$3 and $5 respectively. a checkbox that if checked the value would make the the first group of radios multiplied by 2 if not it will remain the same the second group would be weekly, monthly and annually which the values will be multiplied to 1,x(52/12) and 52 respectively to everything above. the total would be displayed as an alert message if the none of the first group is selected an alert would be issued when calculate is pressed and that would be please select level of cover and if none of the second group is selected it would display please select frequency of payment but if none is selected at all both alerts would be displayed on a single dialogue box, i cant make a script to make it function properly .i didnt include the script because i suck it doesnt work
<form name="InsuranceCalc"> <p><h2>calutaling insurance</h2></p> <p> Please complete the form.</p>[code].............
I have 4 groups of radio buttons (4 different questions using radio buttons) that I need to be required but only if a check box is selected. Also, is there a way to disable these radio buttons if the check box has not been selected?
I'm trying to create a group of radio buttons that enable user to select whether to maintain the current image, remove the image or upload a new image. If user selects maintain the current image or remove the image, the upload field will be disabled, when user select upload a new image, the upload field will be enable. My script is as below but I do not get it work correctly, do you have any advice for me?
HTML Code: <script type="text/javascript"> function Disab() { frm=document.forms[0] if(frm.change_voucher.checked) {frm.img_voucher.disabled=false} [Code]....
Here is my options select from my form. Its dynamically generated with php. Code: <select id="upgrade[]" name="upgrade[0]" onchange="javascript:calTotal(this);"> <option value="1">1</option><option value="2">2</option> </select><br /> <select id="upgrade[]" name="upgrade[1]" onchange="javascript:calTotal(this);"> <option value="1">1</option><option value="2">2</option> </select><br /> <select id="upgrade[]" name="upgrade[2]" onchange="javascript:calTotal(this);"> <option value="1">1</option><option value="2">2</option> </select><br />
Using javascript I want to get the selected value. Here is what I have, but its getting no where: Code: function calTotal(aVar) { var c = document.getElementsByName(aVar); c = c.length ? c : [c]; for(var i=0; i<c.length; ++i) { if(c[i].value==1)//I am getting undefined here { } } Is there a way to loop through an array of option selected like the one I have here?
what im trying to do is make a javascript pop-up message in real time alerting members who are online at that time to a game submitted i help run a fifa10 online league site and we are venturing into the 2v2 part of the site.
now when a player goes to the 2v2 page they are presented with a submit button to submit a 2v2 game to the system. then this already shows up on the pagebut what we are after is a little pop up box which after the game button is pressed to submit the game the pop-up shows to the whole site that a 2v2 game has been submitted for playing.
we want this so you dont have to sit on the 2v2 page to wait for a submitted game.
I'm trying to get the value of a selected option value. I've tried using getElementById("fieldname").selectedIndex.value and formname.elements["fieldname"].options[selectedIndex].value with no joy.
