I want to check all checkboxes using one main checkbox. Then, the checkboxes will be disabled. But then, when the user unchecks the main checkbox, it must revert all the checkboxes to be enabled. How do I do so?

I'm using dreamweaver cs5 and I have created a page that have a table that can check or uncheck certain option in each row..in every column, there is a main button ('m planning to add function in the main button to be check all or uncheck all - but I did not managed to do it right...there are errors)
For example: Pulau Pinang button, when user click, it will check/uncheck all option under Pulau Pinang...same goes to other columns. After selecting their option, user can submit their option using submit button (option chosen can be in different columns). My problem is, my submit and reset button is not functioning besides, I'm not able to make the main button to check or uncheck all option..
Below is my coding for reference: PHP Code: <!DOCTYPE ...> <html ...> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> <style type="text/css"> body { background-image: url(images/crop.jpg); margin-left: 130px; margin-top: 60px; margin-right: 130px; margin-bottom: 100px; background-color: #FFF; } body,td,th { font-size: 14px; color: #000; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function MM_swapImgRestore() { //v3.0 var i,x,a=document.MM_sr; .....
I have a simple form which I'm trying to validate. I have around 8 checkboxes that the user has to agree with, and if they dont, they get the message saying "you did not accept the training princples, yada yada".
I also have a few text fields asking for their details.
Maybe I'm missing something simple here, but everytime I submit the form, it doesnt validate. Im not fantastic at coding, but I was hoping this would be quite straight forward. All I'm trying to do is get a message up if the user doesnt agree with all of the checkboxes. Code:
I know there is a lot of free, easy-to-find scripts that will check all checkboxes in a form, however, all of the working ones I found require you to pass the name of the checkbox. My checkboxes are being generated in .NET so they all have a unique name.
Is there a simple way to loop through every form element and check it if it is a checkbox and than either check it or uncheck it based on a passed value?
I want when checkbox is checked, the span will have 500 USD. When checkbox is unchecked the span will return 0.This is what I've got, have no idea why not work.
Code JavaScript: if ($('#priority').is(':checked')) { $('.presult').text('500 USD');
I am having a problem in my struts application with the checkboxes in my form. I have an array of checkboxes, some of which may be already selected when the form loads. My problem is when the user then deselects one or more of these checkboxes and submits the form - they're being submitted as if they were still checked, when the user has infact deselected them.
I've heard that this is a common problem, but I don't seem to be able to find the problem / resolution with any search criteria. If anybody knows the fix for this it would be greatly appreciated (if there is a solution without using Javascript I would prefer this as we're trying to write the application so it's not too dependant on Javascript . . .
I have a form that generates a dynamic number of rows from a value passed in via querystring. I have a one static row in my form with a "master" checkbox that I have deemed "Select All:". I want to be able to select all and deselect all the other checkboxes beneath it in the column by clicking on it. I've gotten it partially working. I can click the "master" checkbox and it will set the .checked property of all the others to true. BUT how do I reverse the process and turn them all off? Here is my funcion: Code:
I am creating a form using a system called SORCE.The load an article page, only check boxes.I have three checkboxes and want to disable the other 2 when one of them is checked. I have ability to enter javascript code behind each checkbox and there is already some code behind each check box. Below is an example of the code behind the first check box:
Quote: function do_value_toggle_54740(oCurObj) { oForm=oCurObj.form[code].....
I have tried adding the other checkboxes to the if statement, but this just causes errors on the form.The 2nd check box is called value_toggle_54743 and the third is calledval_toggle _54746.What javascript can i add behind each check box to disable the other two when one is clicked?
I have the "master" checkbox. When clicked it should check all "list[]" checkboxes. When removing the check from "master" checkbox it should remove checkboxes from all "list[]" checkboxes. What asm I doing wrong with my code?[code]
I have a form with several questions. Within each question there are several checkboxes. I need to ensure that the user checks at least one checkbox. They can check more but must check at least one.
I have a form with three different fields. Each field is an array made of checkboxes. I'd like to have three "checkall" checkboxes, one for each field, so that you only click once to select every checkbox of the array (or rather of what will be treated as an array server side).How would you do that? Could you point me to a possible scenario? I've spent a few hours on this problem without reaching any interesting result
I need to validate checkoxes to make sure the user selects no more than 2 of the checkboxes. The problem I'm having is in the naming of the checkboxes. The PHP form processor portion of the page requires the checkboxes to be named "dogs[beagle]". This is causing problems with the javascript validation. This is what I have so far...since I've used just the first part of the checkbox name "dogs" the script is not working..I'm kind of new to javascript...Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work. Code:
My application displays a list of checkboxes to the user. Some of the boxes are related. For eg:
List of boxes: a b c d
Checkboxes a and c are related. If user checks a; c should automatically be checked and vice-versa. Same for de-checking. I need a function to do this.
I need to be able to check all group 2 checkboxes and disable them from being unchecked when checkbox group1_3 is checked. Unchecking group1_3 checkbox will uncheck all group 2 checkboxes. Does this make sense? Is this possible with Javascript? If so, can anyone suggest how?
I'm trying to write some code that uses buttons to check and uncheck certain checkboxes. I am stumped and all the code I have been finding is using for loops to check or uncheck all the boxes, when I just want to check or uncheck certain ones. Here's an example of the type of function I'm trying to use: function checkSome (form) { document.myForm.list.one.checked = true; document.myForm.list.two.checked = true; document.myForm.list.three.checked = false; } And the button: <input type="button" value="Option 1" onClick="checkSome(this.form)"/>
I have checked over my code several times and cannot find what I've done wrong with my first script, which is to check/uncheck all checkboxes in a html form. Nothing is checking or unchecking, and I am seeing the "Error on this page" in IE whenever i first click one of the two buttons. Here are the steps I have taken1. I have imported the jQuery library which I have just downloaded (1.4.2 development version, 155kb) with the following code:
